In Lies of P, committing to a character build feels permanent-until you reach the Grand Exhibition and defeat the formidable Champion Victor. Only then can you unlock the elusive Saintess of Mercy Statue, your gateway to respecing all your stats, P-Organ upgrades, and Legion Arms. But beware: each respec costs precious Gold Coin Fruits, and the price rises with every reset. Ready to rethink your strategy and master the art of the perfect build? Here’s how to respec in Lies of P on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
However, this function isn’t available at the start. Instead, you’ll need to progress further into the campaign. Our Lies of P respec guide discusses how and when you’ll be able to reset your level, your P-Organ upgrades, and your Legion Arms.
How to respec in Lies of P
In Lies of P, respeccing your character is possible but only becomes available later in the game after significant progress. To unlock the respec feature, you must first defeat the Champion Victor boss in Chapter VII’s Grand Exhibition. After this fight, you receive a key that opens a door leading to the Saintess of Mercy Statue, where you can reset your character’s Ergo, P-Organ, and Legion Arm upgrades. Respeccing costs Gold Coin Fruits, which you can collect from the Gold Coin Fruit Tree found earlier in the Malum District (Chapter V). This system allows you to reallocate your stats and upgrades without affecting your story progression, though the cost increases with repeated use, encouraging thoughtful adjustments rather than frequent changes.
In Lies of P, you can respec once you interact with the Saintess of Mercy Statue in the Grand Exhibition building. You’ll reach this area during the game’s seventh chapter. Once the mechanic is unlocked, you’ll be able to reset your level (i.e. stat points and Ergo), P-Organ upgrades (i.e. Quartz), and Legion Arms (i.e. Legion Caliber).
Each reset costs a certain amount of Gold Coin Fruit. This currency is obtained from a tree that grows in the yard outside Hotel Krat, and you’ll have access to it after completing the objectives in Malum District. Note that the cost also increases with each reset that you do for a particular category.
How to reach the Saintess of Mercy Statue
To reach the Saintess of Mercy Statue in Lies of P, you need to progress through the story until you face and defeat the boss Champion Victor in the Grand Exhibition Gallery. After the fight, speak with Simon Manus to receive the Saintess of Mercy Statue Gallery Key. Then, exit the boss area, head up the steps on the right, follow the path, and take two rights to find a locked door. Use the key to open it, and inside you will find the Saintess of Mercy Statue, where you can respec your character’s level, P-Organ upgrades, and Legion Arm modifications. There is also a Stargazer in this area for quick travel in the future.

For the Lies of P respec mechanic itself, you’ll want to go further inside the Grand Exhibition facility until you come across a gondola exhibit. Past that point, you’ll notice a door to your left, but you’ll need the Saintess of Mercy Statue Gallery Key to unlock it.
You’ll receive the key once you defeat Champion Victor, the main boss in this area. The boss has slow but hard-hitting attacks, including rush takedowns, power stomps, and leaping smashes. Once your foe has been beaten, a cutscene will play, and an NPC will give you the key automatically.
What happens if you reset your level in Lies of P?
Resetting your level in Lies of P refunds all the Ergo (experience points) you have spent on stat increases, allowing you to redistribute them and create a new build. This respec feature becomes available after defeating the boss Champion Victor in Area VII, unlocking access to the Saintess of Mercy Statue where you can reset your level by spending Gold Coin Fruit. While you regain all your Ergo, the reset costs 10 Gold Coin Fruit initially and becomes more expensive with each subsequent respec. This system lets you experiment with different builds without losing your progress, although some starting stats from certain character bases may not be fully refunded.

Resetting your level in Lies of P does exactly that: It completely refunds all the Ergo you’ve spent when you allocated points. Your character’s stats will be reset to the default values when you originally picked a starting class or path when you began the campaign.
We found this option viable as we progressed further into the campaign. That’s because there were times when we opted for certain stats like Motivity, only to realize that other weapon types were viable, such as Technique and Advance.
What happens if you reset P-Organs in Lies of P?
Resetting P-Organs in Lies of P refunds all the Quartz you have spent on your P-Organ skill tree, allowing you to reallocate these points and customize your build differently. However, any perks that granted you extra benefits, such as additional heal cells, will be lost until you spend Quartz again to re-enable those perks. This system enables players to experiment with various passive and active abilities to better suit their playstyle, especially after realizing that some early-game perks may be less useful than others. To reset your P-Organs, you must progress to Chapter VII and access the Saintess of Mercy Statue in the Grand Exhibition, where you can respec by spending Gold Coin Fruits.

If you decide to do the Lies of P respec for P-Organs, you’ll regain all the Quartz that you’ve spent so far. This is especially helpful, since there may have been some early-game passives that you acquired, and you’d realize, later on, that other major perks and minor perks are more useful. Similarly, there might be instances when you just want to organize all upgrades under a similar category or function, such as adding to the number of Pulse Cells and including minor boosts that are related to healing or consumables.
What happens if you reset Legion Arm in Lies of P?
In Lies of P, resetting the Legion Arm allows players to refund all the materials and upgrade points originally spent on it, enabling them to reallocate these resources as they see fit. This reset costs 5 Gold Coin Fruit and can only be done after reaching Area VII, defeating the boss Champion Victor, and unlocking access to the Saintess of Mercy Statue. Interacting with this statue lets players reset their Legion Arm upgrades, along with their character level and P-Organ upgrades, providing flexibility to experiment with different builds and combat styles later in the game.

Last but not least, the Legion Arm reset refunds any Legion Caliber items that you’ve used to unlock Legion Arm upgrades. For instance, if you have the level 2 upgrade for the Puppet Strings, you’ll regain three Legion Caliber items. You can make use of this in case you opted for a certain contraption, and you feel that there’s a better one, such as Aegis.
That’s everything you need to know about how to respec in Lies of P. Make use of this function as you see fit, especially if you need certain perks or if you want to try a weapon with a different stat scaling.
Want to discover the secret location to respec in Lies of P
To respec in Lies of P, you need to reach Chapter VII and progress through the Grand Exhibition building. Alternatively, from Chapter V onward, you can respec at the Gold Coin Fruit Tree located in the courtyard outside Hotel Krat in the Malum District. This tree also provides the Gold Coin Fruits needed for respeccing and can be accessed via a shortcut after defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood.
In summary, the two secret locations to respec are:

The Saintess of Mercy Statue in the Grand Exhibition (Chapter VII), unlocked with a key dropped by Champion Victor.
