Earth Sprites have started appearing across Fortnite’s battlegrounds, and players are racing to pinpoint their exact spawn spots. Here’s where you can track them down before everyone else claims the rewards.
Here’s where you can find all of the Earth Sprite spawn locations in Fortnite, and the fastest way to complete the quest.
Update (Jan. 14): As part of a weekly update, developer Epic has made it easier to find Earth Sprites with dedicated icons on the map, as well as increasing their frequency from two spawns to five per match.
How to find Earth Sprite locations in Fortnite
Earth Sprites appear at 22 fixed spots across the Fortnite map, with five active each match, marked by lanterns next to unique landmarks like snowy peaks north of Demon’s Dojo or bridges south of Whiffy Wharf. Check the battle bus map for icons showing live locations, then land at one, grab a nearby weapon from a chest or ground loot, and interact to trade it for a legendary upgrade. Popular clusters include areas around Flooded Frogs, Magic Mosses, and Shining Span, where players rotate quickly by vehicle between sites if the first lacks a sprite.
There are a total of 22 Earth Sprites in Chapter 6 Season 1 of Fortnite, but only five will spawn on the map at a time. Above is all possible locations – but the good news, as of a Jan. 14 update, you can soon see which ones are active in-game, with locations now visible on the map and minimap, like so:
As such, the fastest way to give an Earth Sprite a weapon is to start a new game and check your map on the battle bus for the Earth Sprite icons. Drop onto one of the five locations, and quickly search for a weapon on the ground or in a chest. Once you find one, give the Earth Sprite the weapon to upgrade it and finish the quest.
Best routes to visit multiple Earth Sprite spawns in one match
Efficient routes maximize coverage of Earth Sprite clusters since only five spawn per match, now marked by map icons for easier spotting. Prioritize landing near high-density areas like Flooded Frogs or Magic Mosses, then use vehicles for quick travel between nearby points.
Central Forest Route
Start at Flooded Frogs for multiple spawns, then loop efficiently:

Swing west to lake with stone bridge near Magic Mosses (spawn #5).
This path covers three potential sites in under two minutes with a vehicle.
Northern Highlands Path
