As Zero Hour approaches, Fortnite players worldwide are counting down to the Chapter Finale-the moment Epic Games has teased for weeks. Here’s exactly when the live event begins and how you can join before the clock runs out.
Fortnite‘s Zero Hour Chapter Finale live event shall be the grand finale to conclude the Simpsons mini season and Chapter 6, and, after a few hours of downtime, start Chapter 7. The Simpsons are on their way out, but before they leave, we’ll get to see a gigantic Homer Simpson possibly hurling a massive donut at a fighting Godzilla and King Kong while The Bride from Kill Bill races past – or something like that.
How long will the Zero Hour event last
Epic Games did not publish an exact official runtime beforehand, but the Zero Hour live event itself lasts for roughly 15-20 minutes from the moment it begins at 2 p.m. ET.โโ
Event duration
-
The core Zero Hour cinematic/gameplay sequence runs about 15-20 minutes based on full-event recordings uploaded after November 29, 2025.โ
-
There is additional time around this for the pre-show lobby and post-event transition, but the interactive event portion is under half an hour.โโ
Downtime after the event
-
Once Zero Hour ends, Fortnite goes into downtime to transition into Chapter 7, which is expected to last several hours before the new season becomes playable.โโ
Will Zero Hour have multiple showings or only one live run
Zero Hour had only one live showing; it was a one-time chapter finale event with no encore reruns.โ
One-time only
-
Epic’s announcement and event guides describe Zero Hour as a one-time live event, meaning there was only a single global run on November 29, 2025.โ
-
Unlike some past finales that received second showings, Zero Hour transitioned straight into server downtime after that single live run.โ
