Hidden behind security protocols in Herta Space Station lies a door sealed by three layers of authentication. Each layer guards rare loot and story fragments, but only players who piece together the right clues across the station can open it.

As you’re exploring the Herta Space Station in Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll come across a locked door in the Base Zone section that requires some sort of verification to enter it. The triple authentication door sits in the northern section of Herta Space Station’s Base Zone, within a square room on the western side. Players spot it during early exploration after interacting with the panel that demands three certification cards. Once collected from Master Control Zone, Storage Zone, and further north in Base Zone, return here to combine them and gain entry to the reward chest.

The first authentication card sits on a low table beside a stack of data pads, guarded by a patrolling automaton. Pick it up after defeating the enemy, then check your inventory to confirm acquisition. This card activates the initial panel on the triple authentication door.

1. Interact with Arlan at the Master Control Zone in the Herta Space Station to progress in the “Road to Revival” side quest which is automatically unlocked when Arlan messages you on your phone before you get on the Astral Express.
2. Proceed with the side quest until you are given the task “activate the extinguished anchor in the target cabin.”
3. Enter the target cabin with the anchor to find a Blaze Out of Space enemy on the other side of the room.
4. Defeat the enemy to retrieve the first card.

Access authentication card 2 location

Access authentication card 2 can be found inside the Storage Zone of Herta Space Station. Take the elevator to the upper floor and head toward the area with Level 2 Security Doors. Defeat the enemies nearby, then check the control room on the left for a glowing terminal. Interact with it to obtain the card from the secured compartment before proceeding to the next section of the zone.

1. Travel to the Master Control Zone in the Herta Space Station.
2. Find the Man with Afro beside the internal purchase officer, where you use your Hertareum currency.
3. Interact with the Man with Afro five times which will lead to him giving you the second access card.

Access authentication card 3 location

Access authentication card 3 can be found in the Storage Zone of Herta Space Station. Head to the zone’s upper level near the Control Center and search the area with the locked door that requires a password to enter. Inside, you’ll find a terminal on the right side of the room. Interact with it to acquire the card. Make sure you’ve completed the relevant side objectives, as access to this room might be restricted until certain progress has been made.

1. Travel to the “Outside the Control Center” teleport waypoint on the first floor of the Storage Zone in the Herta Space Station.
2. Interact with the controller beside the door to gain access to the room.
3. Enter the room and proceed down the ramp on the left.
4. Defeat the voidranger and interact with the nearby control device to create a blue bridge.
5. Proceed across the bridge and defeat the voidranger in the path.
6. Interact with the controller on the path to create a gray bridge above you.
7. Continue up the path and interact with the control device behind the crates to switch the bridge back to orange.
8. Walk over the gray bridge and interact with the control device to switch the bridge back to blue.
9. Move past the newly constructed blue bridge and go up the ramp to find the last access card on the floor by the open doorway.

How to open the triple authentication door in Honkai: Star Rail

To open the triple authentication door in Honkai: Star Rail, you must first collect three separate authentication cards scattered around the Herta Space Station, then return to the sealed room in the Base Zone corridor where the door is located. After obtaining all three cards and receiving a system message, interact with the console next to the door to authorize each pass, defeat the enemies guarding the treasure inside, and claim your reward.

With all three access authentication cards retrieved, a notification will pop up on your screen and you’ll receive a message on your phone from the Herta Panopticon System. Return to the triple authentication door and interact with the controller in front of the door to open it. Once the door is open, you’ll be greeted by two voidrangers.
