Pokémon Go Let s Go Event Guide Collection Challenge Shadow Regice Shiny Meltan

Guides

Trainers are buzzing as Pokémon Go’s “Let’s Go” event returns, bringing fresh spawns, shiny chances, and a new Collection Challenge that rewards keen explorers with rare bonuses.

The event features both Ditto and Meltan, changing the disguises Ditto can turn into and allowing you to use the Mystery Box to get Meltan more often. Meltan can also be shiny when picked up from a Mystery Box.

Notably, this event also includes the launch of seasonal Special Research, which will be able to be claimed until June 1. Make sure to log in and grab the research if you want it, as it won’t expire once you start it.

You can also catch Pansear, Panpour, and Pansage in the wild. This is a rarity, as the three monkey Pokémon are usually regional exclusives. Make sure to use Pinap Berries on your non-native monkey Pokémon to get more candy when catching it. (They each require 50 to evolve.)

Candy gained from transferring Pokémon during the event period is also doubled, so make sure to use that to your advantage.

Below we list out the other perks and bonuses that are part of the “Let’s Go” event.

Let’s Go Collection Challenge

The Let’s Go Collection Challenge tasks players with catching specific Pokémon featured during the event, rewarding them with Stardust, XP, and an encounter once all are collected. Each Pokémon appears more frequently in the wild or through special research, making it a good time to complete missing entries and earn extra bonuses. Keep an eye on limited-time spawns and field tasks to finish the challenge before the event ends.

Catch the following for a reward:

  • Ditto
  • Pansage
  • Pansear
  • Panpour

Reward: 5,000 XP, Meltan encounter

Pokémon Go Let’s Go event Field Research tasks

Field Research tasks during the Let’s Go event feature assignments that reward encounters with event-themed Pokémon such as Ditto, Meltan, and various regional species. Players can spin PokéStops to collect these limited-time tasks, which may ask them to catch certain Pokémon, use berries, or complete specific throws. Completing these tasks contributes to the event’s Collection Challenge and offers useful rewards like Poké Balls, Stardust, and Mega Energy.

There is only one event-themed Field Research task:

  • Catch 3 Ditto (Pansage, Pansear, or Panpour encounter)

  • Pansear spawns in South America, Mexico, and Central America.

How to evolve Pansage Pansear Panpour into Simisage Simisear Simipour

In Pokémon Go, Pansage evolves into Simisage, Pansear into Simisear, and Panpour into Simipour using specific items and candy.

Evolution Requirements

Each requires 50 candy of its kind (Pansage Candy, Pansear Candy, or Panpour Candy) plus one Unova Stone.
Open your Pokémon overview, select the base form, and use the “Evolve” option once you have the items.

Obtaining Items

Unova Stones come from Research Breakthroughs, GO Battle League rewards (Rank 3+), or special event tasks.
Stockpile candy by catching, transferring, or feeding berries to your Pansage/Pansear/Panpour; Pinap Berries double candy yields.
