Where to find all mural pieces in The Outer Worlds 2
Finding all the mural pieces in The Outer Worlds 2 requires a mix of exploration and attention to hidden details across several planetary zones. Each piece is tucked away in remote outposts, derelict structures, or behind environmental puzzles that reward careful observation. Players should scan every settlement, cavern, and restricted facility to uncover these story-rich collectibles. Completing the mural not only provides valuable lore insight but also unlocks a unique cosmetic and final quest entry tied to the player’s discoveries.
You don’t need to find the mural pieces in a specific order, so just look for the one closest to where you are in the game. “The Pursuit of the Partite Pentaptych” side quest will only appear in your journal once you have found your first piece, though.
As you obtain a piece, it goes to your inventory until you visit your ship. When you get to the Incognito for the first time after getting a mural piece, it will automatically be put on the wall near the stairs.
Mural piece #1 – Alexandra Station

The first mural piece you can find is located at Alexandra Station, which is near the landing pad. Enter the station and head to the elevator. To the left of the elevator, you’ll find a replica of a mural with one of the original pieces for you to take.
Mural piece #2 – Decommissioned Autonomous Extractorium

You can find your second mural piece in the Decommissioned Autonomous Extractorium. You’ll find the extractorium northwest of the landing pad, and, by visiting the location, you’ll have the chance to meet Aza and recruit her as a companion. This mural piece is located in the western section of the building.
Mural piece #3 – Tram station south of Guardian Estates

You will find the third mural piece in the tram station on the west side of Golden Ridge. It’s south of the Guardian Estates fast travel and full of scrappers, so be ready for a fight. To reach the mural piece in the tram station, you must use the ramps and climb the edges to get to the highest level of the area. There, you will find the entrance to the station that became a scrapper camp. On the east side, you will find the station’s main building with the third mural piece inside of it.
Mural piece #4 – N-Ray Range

The fourth mural is located in the N-Ray Range, which you’ll visit during the “On the Trail of the Traitor” main quest. After you take the elevator from N-Ray station to Golden Ridge, you arrive in the first room of the central building in the N-Ray Range installation, which you couldn’t access before from the outside. Get out of the elevator and turn right to find a small room where you’ll find the mural piece.
Mural piece #5 – Alexandra Monastery

The final mural piece is only accessible after you reach the final part of the main quest, “On the Trail of the Traitor,” and enter the Alexandra Monastery. The mural piece is inside the southern building of the monastery, a bit before where you find andconfront Seer Wiley. Enter the building and look to your right to find the mural piece.
’The Pursuit of the Partite Pentaptych’ rewards in The Outer Worlds 2
In The Outer Worlds 2, completing the quest “The Pursuit of the Partite Pentaptych” rewards players with valuable unique items and significant experience points. These rewards include rare weapons, exclusive armor pieces, and substantial faction reputation boosts that enhance your character’s abilities and progression. Finding all the mural pieces is key to unlocking these benefits and deepening your exploration of the game’s rich lore.

Although it’s quite cool that the pieces you collect are hanging on your ship, you won’t be pursuing these collectibles and completing “The Pursuit of the Partite Pentaptych” side quest just to make your ship prettier. The best reward you’ll receive from finding the mural pieces is the Art Enthusiast perk.

This perk is automatically added to your character when you get the first piece. It gives you 2% of experience points from companions kills per mural piece. The perk evolves from Art Enthusiast up until Art Enthusiast V if you have every pieces. In other words, you don’t need to finish the quest to receive the perk, but if you do, it will give you 10% experience, which is a great bonus!
Which mural piece is hardest to reach and how to get it
The hardest mural piece to reach in The Outer Worlds 2 is the one located at the Guardian Estates tram station. This location is occupied by scrappers, making it a combat-heavy area. To get this mural piece, you must navigate through the scrapper camp, climb the ramps, and reach the highest level of the tram station where the mural is located on the wall. Access to this area requires careful movement and some fighting to get to the top level safely.
In comparison, other mural pieces are found in less hostile or more straightforward locations like Alexandra Station, Decommissioned Autonomous Extractorium, N-Ray Range (which requires main quest progress), and Alexandra Monastery. The Guardian Estates mural piece stands out due to its scramble through enemy territory and the vertical climbing involved.
So, prepare for combat and climbing challenges when aiming to retrieve the Guardian Estates mural piece.
Tips to stealth past scrappers at the Guardian Estates mural
To stealth past the scrappers at the Guardian Estates mural in The Outer Worlds 2, follow these tips:
-
Use the sneaking entry route: Near the Secretive Elder’s camp before the Guardian Estates entrance, look for a large hole on the side of the mountain. Crawl through this hole to bypass most scrappers undetected.
-
Take the uphill path following the hole to reach the estate’s courtyard from a less patrolled side. Climb ledges and use high ground to avoid detection.
-
Use distractions: Throw distraction devices or gadgets to lure scrappers away from your path.
-
Utilize cover like crates, sandbags, and terrain features to stay out of sight while advancing toward the mural location.
-
If you have the Hack 8 skill, access the control panel near the courtyard entrance and activate a Dragoon Automech to fight scrappers for you, easing stealth traversal.
-
Move slowly and use crouch/sneak mode persistently to reduce noise and visibility.
Following these strategies lets you reach the mural piece at the top of Guardian Estates with minimal combat, favoring stealth over direct confrontation.
