Dive back into the adventure as Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Day 2 unfolds with an electrifying rotation of habitats-from the fiery Moonless Volcano to the mysterious Hypnotic Tundra-each offering exclusive spawns and rare shiny encounters you won’t want to miss. Plus, enjoy unique bonuses and the chance to raid legendary Pokémon like Zacian, making this day a must-play for every Trainer aiming to complete their collection.
The Crowned forms are the main feature here, encouraging all players to hop into raids to score energy to turn their Hero of Many Battles form puppies into big dogs. This event also features the global debut for Volcanion, but only if you have the paid ticket for the event. As usual with these events, there’s a ton of perks (including increased shiny rate for wild spawns) locked up behind the $15 ticket, but free players can still take advantage of fun spawns and Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta.
Below we dive into the perks and rotating spawns for Pokémon Go Fest: Global 2025.
Pokémon Go Fest Global day 2 differences and changes
Day 2 of Pokémon Go Fest 2025 features a repeat of the rotating habitats from Day 1, giving players a second chance to catch any Pokémon they missed, with Sword-themed Pokémon appearing all day Sunday as opposed to Shield-themed on Saturday. The hourly habitat schedule and spawns remain consistent, cycling through Moonless Volcano, Galvanic Dojo, Hypnotic Tundra, and Fae Swamp twice each day. Ticket holders continue to enjoy exclusive bonuses such as increased shiny rates, special research, and Unown encounters themed around the event. Additionally, Zamazenta and Zacian are available in raids on their respective days, emphasizing the need to participate on both days to encounter both Legendary Pokémon. The event maintains the structure of multiple unique habitats with new shiny Pokémon like Frigibax debuting on Day 2 alongside previously seen Day 1 Pokémon.
Unlike previous years, the days for Pokémon Go Fest 2025 have no substantial major differences. These are the only differences from Saturday’s event:
- Crowned Sword Zacian is in raids, instead of Zamazenta.
- Different Pokémon will be spawning in addition to the rotating habitats (see the list below).
- Unown S, W, O, R, and D will be showing up if you’re a ticket-holder using an Incense, rather than S, H, I, E, L, and D.
Last year’s second day of the Go Fest Global event launched Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma via fusion for players, as well as Special Research you could only get from logging in on Sunday. There’s nothing like this for day two this year, so don’t worry about missing out on anything major (other than Crowned Sword Zacian in raids).
What time does Pokémon Go Fest start and end?
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 runs on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. local time each day. The core event features-including rotating habitats, increased shiny rates, and special bonuses-are only available during these hours, so players should plan to play during the full window to get the most out of day two’s habitat spawns and event perks.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 will run on June 28 and 29, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. in your local time. There are a few ticket-holder bonuses that also last outside of that time window, like the halved Stardust cost for trading, but the bulk of the good stuff will only be available from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Though you are highly encouraged to play throughout the day to make the most of your ticket purchase, and ensure you have plenty of time to complete each habitat’s Collection Challenges, even if you only log in once each day, you will unlock the Special Research to complete at your leisure.
Note that Zamazenta will be in raids on Saturday, June 28 and Zacian will be in raids on Sunday, June 29, so if you want both dogs, you’ll need to raid on both days.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 habitat spawn schedule
Pokémon GO Fest 2025 features a rotating habitat spawn schedule across both days of the event, from 10 AM to 6 PM local time. The four habitats-Moonless Volcano, Galvanic Dojo, Hypnotic Tundra, and Fae Swamp-rotate hourly and repeat twice daily. Each habitat offers distinct Pokémon spawns, with Moonless Volcano active from 10-11 AM and 2-3 PM, Galvanic Dojo from 11 AM-12 PM and 3-4 PM, Hypnotic Tundra from 12-1 PM and 4-5 PM, and Fae Swamp from 1-2 PM and 5-6 PM. This setup allows trainers to catch a wide variety of species by participating throughout the day.

These habitats will rotate all throughout the event (which is a change from last year, where they only rotated on Saturday), even if you don’t have a ticket. Each habitat will rotate in twice per day and be around for an hour before it rotates out.
This time, each day also has additional spawns that will be around in addition to the rotating habitats.
It should also be noted that the costume-wearing Pikachu and Falinks (as seen in the above image) are not listed as an available spawn on the Pokémon Go website. They are available through other means. Falinks appears to be a raid and Field Research exclusive and Pikachu can be obtained via raids, Field Research, and photobombs.

Pokémon Go Fest 2025 event special moves
Pokémon GO Fest 2025 features several special moves exclusive to the event, available through evolving certain Pokémon during the festival. Notable moves include Alolan Sandslash’s Shadow Claw, Clefable’s Pound, and Machamp’s Stone Edge. These moves are typically legacy attacks, otherwise only obtainable via Elite TMs, making the event a rare chance for trainers to get them freely. Additionally, Legendary Pokémon like Crowned Sword Zacian can learn its signature Charged move Behemoth Blade, which is also tied to the event raids. These special moves add unique strategic options for battling and collecting during the Fest.
Quite a few legacy moves are returning as part of Go Fest 2025. Evolving these Pokémon will net them their Community Day or event moves:
- Alolan Sandshrew →Alolan Sandslash: Shadow Claw
- Clefairy →Clefable: Pound
- Machoke →Machamp: Stone Edge
- Pupitar →Tyranitar: Smack Down
- Prinplup →Empoleon: Hydro Cannon
- Quilladin →Chesnaught: Frenzy Plant
- Fletchinder →Talonflame: Incinerate

It also seems like caught Pokémon will also know these moves. We can confirm we had a Tyranitar spawn off of an Incense and it knew Smack Down.

The 5 km Eggs available to ticket holders include Togepi, Torkoal, Pachirisu, Mienfoo, Skiddo, Carbink, Goomy, Klefki, Jangmo-o, and Frigibax, also with increased shiny encounter rates. During Pokémon Go Fest 2025, raid targets will include special appearances by Crowned Shield Zamazenta on Saturday and Crowned Sword Zacian on Sunday, both appearing in 5-star raids. Additionally, trainers can encounter Dapper Pikachu with various color accents and Train Conductor Falinks in lower-star raids. These raids offer unique rewards such as special background Pokémon for Zacian and Zamazenta and are a key highlight of the event, encouraging players to participate in raids on both days for a complete experience. The event also features a weeklong Max Finale with Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon, including the Legendary Eternatus, in Max Battles following the festival days.
The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids during the event:
1-star raids |

What rare Pokémon can players expect to encounter during habitats today at GO Fest 2025
During Pokémon GO Fest 2025, players can encounter several rare Pokémon in the rotating habitats, including the rarest spawns like Shiny Frigibax in the Hypnotic Tundra habitat and Shiny Carbink in the Moonless Volcano habitat. Both of these shiny Pokémon are making their global debut at the event and are highly sought after.
Other notable rare Pokémon to catch in the habitats today include:
-
Moonless Volcano: Carbink, Houndour, Numel, Duskull, Gothita, Golett, Fletchling, Flabébé (red), Skrelp, and Torkoal (Incense-only for ticket holders)
-
Hypnotic Tundra: Frigibax, plus other icy or tundra-themed spawns
-
Galvanic Dojo and Fae Swamp habitats also feature exclusive themed Pokémon but the rarest spotlight is on Frigibax and Carbink for shinies today
In addition to these spawns in the wild, ticket holders have the chance to encounter and raid the Crowned forms of legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta, which are special highlights of GO Fest 2025 but appear in raids rather than standard habitats.
The habitats rotate hourly and each four-hour block during the event gives you a chance to catch these rare spawns, so plan to hunt accordingly to maximize encounters with these rare and shiny Pokémon.
Thus today, the rare Pokémon you should especially look for during GO Fest 2025 habitats are Shiny Frigibax (Hypnotic Tundra) and Shiny Carbink (Moonless Volcano), along with other themed Pokémon specific to each habitat.
Which habitat is most likely to feature rare shiny Carbink during GO Fest 2025
The habitat most likely to feature the rare Shiny Carbink during Pokémon GO Fest 2025 is the Moonless Volcano habitat. Shiny Carbink appears specifically in this habitat during the event, with the Moonless Volcano habitat active from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. local time across the event days. Access to this rare shiny is typically for ticket holders, and it is one of the event’s highlight spawns.
