This mode emphasizes relentless action and coordination, creating a thrilling experience for competitive players.
Gauntlet in Battlefield Redsec is a 32-player mode, consisting of eight squads of four players each. Every Gauntlet match is split into four rounds, all taking place on the Fort Lyndon Redsec battle royale map, but in different areas and places of interest.
Each round has a specific objective, and you must work together with your squad to earn points, either by completing the objective, getting kills, or reviving squadmates. To spice things up, points are doubled in the last minute of every round, so make sure to push on til the last second! At the end of each round, the two lowest ranked squads will be eliminated, and this will go on until there are just two squads remaining.

Key considerations for Gauntlet loadouts:
Because each Gauntlet match cycles through randomized mission types, flexibility in squad composition is beneficial. Some may recommend adjusting loadouts before or between rounds to counter specific mission demands, such as emphasizing mobility and revives for Contract or focusing on stealth and reconnaissance for Heist. Ultimately, the best squad loadouts combine strong objective-focused classes (Support and Recon), reliable damage dealers -Optimal class composition for Gauntlet squadsThe optimal class composition for Battlefield Redsec Gauntlet squads typically involves a balanced mix that covers offense, defense, support, and reconnaissance roles to maximize effectiveness across the varied mission types. A commonly recommended squad setup includes:
However, Gauntlet’s dynamic mission variety can sometimes call for doubling or tripling certain classes, such as extra Supports for rounds heavy in revives or more Assaults in aggressive elimination rounds. The mode rewards tactical flexibility and squad synergy, where well-communicated specialization can outperform a rigid class spread. Each mission demands different emphases: e.g., Support might be crucial in Decryption (holding beacons) and Contract (squad wipes), while Recon excels in Vendetta (protecting HVTs). Assault and Engineer provide reliable firepower and objective control across most scenarios. Therefore, the optimal composition depends on expected mission types but maintaining a balanced core of Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon is generally the best approach for success in Battlefield Redsec Gauntlet mode. |
