An encrypted signal echoes through the wastelands, hinting at a hidden refuge where survivors trade whispers instead of gunfire. The Communication Hideout quest pulls you into a web of secrets, coded transmissions, and raider traps waiting behind every flickering console.

‘Communication Hideout’ quest walkthrough in Arc Raiders

Head to the Red Tower in the south of Buried City. Locate the yellow-marked metal box northeast of the tower near a palm tree kiosk, open it to retrieve the missing battery cell, then install it into the nearby generator and flip the power switch. Enter the tower through the window beside the generator, ascend the stairs to the roof platform, climb the ladder to the upper level, turn right along the outer walkway, and activate the yellow-marked antenna terminal around the corner to finish the quest.โ€‹

“Communication Hideout” begins with finding the Red Tower, which is fairly easy to spot, but then you need to find a battery, install it, switch on the power, and boot up the antenna terminal. Red Tower is just northeast of Plaza Rosa near the southern border of the map. After you reach it, follow the step-by-step guide below to complete the quest.

Where to find the missing battery cell

Once you’ve made it to Red Tower, your objective will change to find the missing battery cell. This is in a small metal box just a stone’s throw northeast of Red Tower, in the almost-closed off area with the buildings wrapping around the palm trees. The image above shows the container you’re looking for, next to a boarded-up stall.

How to install the battery cell in the generator

Pick up the battery and turn around. You’ll see a generator with wires leading up to the Red Tower. Approach it and insert the battery, then make sure you hit the switch to turn the generator on. That part is essential but easily forgotten, speaking from experience.

How to boot the antenna terminal

Finally, you need to find the antenna terminal. It sounds simple, but the route is a little tricky.

  1. Enter the Red Tower via the window next to the generator.
  2. Climb the stairs and exit onto the roof.
  3. Climb the ladder in front of you (not the one on your left) and go up to the next level.
  4. Turn right and follow the path around.
  5. The terminal will be in front of you against the back wall of the tower.

Interact with the terminal and congratulations! “Communication Hideout” is complete and you can return to Speranza for your rewards, including an Anvil 3, which isn’t too shabby at all. If you need assistance with any other quests, our guide to the patrol car key explains how to complete “Armored Transports,” and we also have guides for “The Clean Dream,” “Paving The Way,” and more.

Where is the antenna terminal on Red Tower roof

The antenna terminal on the Red Tower roof in Arc Raiders’ “Communication Hideout” quest sits against the back (rear) wall of the tower.โ€‹

Access path

Enter the Red Tower via the window near the generator, climb interior stairs to the roof platform, then take the ladder straight ahead (not left). Turn right immediately and follow the outer catwalk/platform around the corner to spot the yellow-marked terminal ahead.โ€‹

Activation

Interact with it to boot the antenna and complete the quest step-no extraction needed.โ€‹

How do I find the battery cell for this quest

The battery cell for the “Communication Hideout” quest in Arc Raiders is located just northeast (or east side) of the Red Tower base in Buried City/Old Town.โ€‹

Exact spot

Look for a small enclosed courtyard or street area with palm trees and low buildings nearby. Spot the yellow-marked metal box/container on the ground next to (or against) a boarded-up kiosk/small shop/structure in the sand.โ€‹โ€‹

Pickup steps

Reach the Red Tower first to trigger the objective marker. Interact with the box to make the battery cell drop or appear-pick it up and carry it a short distance to the nearby generator (often directly behind or opposite you).โ€‹โ€‹
