Irasak Shrine location

The Irasak Shrine sits on the southern edge of the Gerudo Highlands, at coordinates (-4008, -2175, 0373). Players reach it by heading southwest from the Gerudo Highland Gateway Skyview Tower or paragliding down from Mount Granajh. Its entrance appears as a standard stone door flanked by ruins, visible against the snowy cliffs. Fast travel to the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower offers another quick route, followed by a short climb northward.

The Irasak Shrine is found within the Gerudo Desert area of Hyrule, just southeast from the Lightning Temple. The exact coordinates are (-4159, -3824, 0028). If you’re just arrived in Gerudo, the desert area will be shrouded in a sandstorm, and super hard to navigate. It’s easy to get lost as the map becomes fuzzy.

Irasak Shrine walkthrough

The Irasak Shrine features a puzzle focused on controlling wind currents and precise gliding. Use your paraglider to ride the air streams and reach higher platforms, activating switches along the way to adjust airflow paths. Careful timing and positioning are key to reaching the final chamber, where you’ll earn your reward after solving the last wind mechanism.

The Irasak Shrine is troublesome to find if you haven’t completed the Lightning Temple in the Gerudo area. That’s why we recommend doing that first – you’ll have a much easier time finding the nearby shrine.

In fact, the Lightning Temple is where we’ll start. The Irasak Shrine is just southeast of the temple, but you can’t just walk right in. It’s surrounded on all sides by quicksand. You can build a long bridge to get over the quicksand, using pieces of wooden slabs from the area. But the easiest way is from the top of the Lightning Temple.

1. Climb or Ascend to the top of Lightning Temple then walk to the eastern point of the square. You should be able to spot the shrine and the quicksand circle, called the Arbiter’s Grounds.

2. Use the paraglider to soar down to the shrine. It’s that simple! You should have more than enough stamina to make it.

Best way to cross quicksand to Irasak Shrine

Irasak Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is surrounded by flowing quicksand in the Arbiter’s Grounds area of the Gerudo Desert, which rapidly drains stamina.

Safest Crossing Method

Climb the small building structure just north of Arbiter’s Grounds (unlocked after Lightning Temple), use Ascend to reach the top, then paraglide directly to the shrine to bypass quicksand entirely.

Alternative Direct Approach

Sprint from the south through the quicksand toward the center, as this direction avoids attracting nearby enemies and requires less precise maneuvering.

Creative Updraft Trick

Drop a pine cone into the quicksand, light it for an updraft, and glide to a central stone platform; from there, dash or repeat to reach the shrine entrance.

How to paraglide from northern building to Irasak Shrine

Paragliding from Northern Building

The northern building refers to the small stone structure just north of Arbiter’s Grounds in the Gerudo Desert, accessible after completing the Lightning Temple.

Step-by-Step Guide

Climb the building’s exterior using regular climbing or the Ascend ability if available, aiming for its flat rooftop despite stamina drain from heat. Face south-southwest toward Irasak Shrine at coordinates around -4139, -3824, 0028, then jump and immediately deploy the paraglider to glide straight across the quicksand gap.

Tips for Success

With two full stamina wheels, the distance is easily covered without depleting stamina fully; angle slightly downward for speed if needed, and avoid circling enemies below. Land directly at the shrine entrance to complete the approach safely.
