How to get Radiant Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Hidden beneath Hyrule’s surface lies the Radiant Armor set, a glowing outfit that turns Link into a skeletal warrior under the moonlight. Here’s how to find each piece and power it up for maximum style and defense.

It’s a handy armor kit to have if you’re looking to sneak around these enemies, and it’s very easy to get – if you have the money. You’ll find the armor set in Kakariko Village‘sEnchanted armor store. There’s a short quest to run through to get a steep discount, though.

How to get Radiant Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To obtain the Radiant Armor set, travel to the Enchanted Armor shop located in Kakariko Village. Each piece-the mask, shirt, and tights-initially costs 5,000 Rupees, but completing the “Gloom-Borne Illness” side quest reduces the price to 800 Rupees per item. After purchasing the gear, visit a Great Fairy to enhance the defense ratings and activate the “Bone Attack Up” set bonus. Upgrading each piece to at least two stars requires materials like Luminous Stones and Moblin Guts.โ€‹โ€‹

Head over to the Enchanted shop in Kakariko Village. Talk to Claree at the counter, and she’ll let you know that her grandmother is sick, which is why the prices on the two armor sets sold at the store are super high – 5,000 rupees for a single piece. If you can help her grandma, she’ll end up giving you a discount, knocking the Radiant Armor pieces – the Radiant Mask, Radiant Shirt, and Radiant Tights – down to 800 rupees each.

Next, go find Claree’s sister Lasli, who is sitting by a fire outside her grandmother’s house. From the shop, take a right and go past the pumpkin patch. Take the next right and head all the way to the back of this area. You’ll see Lasli to the left. Talk to her and she’ll again tell you about her sick grandma.

We’ve got a full guide for the “Gloom-borne Illness” quest and where to find ingredients: The ingredients you need are hylian rice, fresh milk, and sundelion. (I found a traveling merchant on a horse heading into Kakariko Village who had all the ingredients I needed.) This makes a sunny veggie porridge with gloom-resistance properties. Cook the meal and talk to Lasli again and follow the prompts to complete the quest.

Then head back to the Enchanted shop, where Claree will have lowered prices on the Radiant Armor.

Radiant Armor upgrade costs, set bonus, and effect

The Radiant Armor can be upgraded at Great Fairy Fountains using materials like Luminous Stones and Bokoblin Guts, with costs increasing at each level. Upgrading the full set enhances its glow effect and boosts your defense. When all three pieces are worn, the set bonus grants a Bone Weapon Boost, increasing the damage dealt with bone-type weapons. This makes the armor valuable for players who favor stealth and close-quarters combat under low light.

The Radiant Armor has no effects when equipped individually. However, when you’ve updated each piece to at least two-star and equipped all three, you get a disguise and bone weapon proficiency buff. Based off of its effect in Breath of the Wild, disguise makes it so bone enemies like Stalkoblin and Stalizalfos do not attack you (unless you attack them). Bone weapon proficiency makes it so weapons made of bones (like a Molduga jaw or Stalnox horn) do more damage.

You’ll be able to upgrade the pieces of the Radiant Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain, in exchange for the following materials:

  • 1-star (5 defense): 10 luminous stones, 1 Bokoblin guts, 10 rupees
  • 2-star (8 defense): 15 luminous stones, 2 Moblin guts, 50 rupees
  • 3-star (12 defense): 20 luminous stones, 3 Horriblin guts, 10 Gibdo bones, 200 rupees
  • 4-star (20 defense): 30 luminous stones, 3 Lynel guts, 3 Molduga jaw, 500 rupees

To fully upgrade this set, you’ll need 225 luminous stone, 3 Bokoblin guts, 6 Moblin guts, 9 Horriblin guts, 9 Lynel guts, 3 Molduga jaw, 30 Gibdo bones, and 2,280 rupees.
