Hidden among Great Sky Island’s frosty cliffs, the In-isa Shrine challenges players to harness the power of Fusion and turn simple tools into clever solutions. Here’s how to find it and solve every puzzle inside without missing a single secret.
When you’re done, our shrine locations page or interactive Hyrule map can direct you toward something else to do.
In-isa Shrine location
In-isa Shrine sits on the Great Sky Island, southwest of the Room of Awakening and across a stone bridge from the Ukouh Shrine area. Follow the tutorial path from the Temple of Time ruins, heading west along the cliffs until you reach a wooden bridge leading to a snowier section of the island. Cross the bridge, pass the Construct enemies on the narrow path, and continue along the marked trail until the shrine’s orange glow comes into view on a small plateau above the frozen lake.
The In-isa Shrine is found within the Great Sky Island region, on the southwest corner of the island. Its coordinates are (0013, -1506, 1408).
In-isa Shrine puzzle walkthrough
The In-isa Shrine introduces players to the use of the Fuse ability, combining materials with weapons to create stronger or more useful tools. After entering the shrine, strike the boulder with a fused weapon to break the wall ahead, then use a fused weapon again to defeat the Construct enemy. Continue forward, fuse fire fruit with arrows to burn the wooden barrier, and proceed to the final area. There, fuse a rock with a sword to smash through the stone blocks guarding the exit and complete the shrine.
1. In the first room, Fuse one of the boulders to your weapon (we had a thick stick equipped) to make a club, then swing it at the stone barricade to destroy it.
2. Immediately after you enter the second room, you’ll see two stone pillars in the water to your left. Swing your club at the further one. This will cause the In-isa Shrine chest to drop to the ground; opening it rewards you with five arrows.

3. Break the rest of the pillars, because lol. (Note: You do not need to do this. It’s just extremely satisfying.)
4. Before going up the stairs, turn right. Collect all of the fire fruit from the trees, and pick up the old wooden bow.
5. Fuse one fire fruit to an arrow to make a fire arrow. Aim up. You should see a chest on a wooden platform, surrounded by a bramble of autumnal vines. Shoot your fire arrow at the foliage on the wall ahead of you, which should cause it – and the platform – to burn, dropping the chest to the ground. Open it for a small key.

6. Return to the previous room and open the door on your right (at the top of the stairs) with the small key.
7. Follow the hallway until you reach a room with a Captain Construct, whom you’ll need to defeat. Creating a fire arrow and shooting it at the foliage beneath the Captain Construct’s feet (or, uh, propeller) will remove most of its health. On the ledge to the left of the entrance, you can find spikes; Fuse them to your weapons for a damage boost. Keeping your distance with arrows also helps. You’ll get a Construct bow upon victory.
8. The Captain Construct will also drop a stick with a boulder Fused to it. Use that stick to shatter the stone wall. In the next room, interact with the green sigil to finish the “Ability to Combine” trial and receive a Light of Blessing.
How to reach In-Isa Shrine from Ukouh Shrine
From Ukouh Shrine, you need to head southwest across Great Sky Island to the lake, then build a simple boat to reach the small island with In-Isa Shrine.โ
Step-by-step route
-
Exit Ukouh Shrine and go back down the stairs to ground level on the southwest side of the hill.โโ
-
Use Ultrahand to connect nearby wooden planks into a bridge to cross the first gap/rail section, then continue following the path downwards toward the southwest.โโ
-
Keep dropping down ledges and using simple bridges or log platforms to cross small gaps and streams until you reach the large lake at the edge of the island.โ
-
At the lake shore, detach any hooks from the platform you used earlier, then attach a sail (or fan, depending on your setup) upright to make a raft that will move with the wind.โโ
-
Place the raft in the water facing the small island on the far side (where the shrine is), hop on, and let the wind carry you; adjust the sail’s angle if needed so it keeps moving toward the island.โโ
-
When you land on the opposite shore, follow the obvious path up the hill, dealing with a couple of ChuChus and a Soldier Construct along the way, until you reach the broken stone stairs.โโ
-
Climb the stairs to arrive at In-Isa Shrine at roughly coordinates ,-,0027, -1503, 1408,-,.
If you tell me exactly where you’re stuck (still at Ukouh, at the pipes, or at the lake), I can narrow this down to a few moves from your current spot.
In-Isa Shrine walkthrough and puzzles
In-Isa Shrine, titled “The Ability to Combine,” introduces the Fuse ability and features straightforward puzzles focused on fusing items to weapons, arrows, and environmental objects.
First Puzzle: Breaking the Wall
Enter the shrine to automatically gain the Fuse ability from the glowing hand. Pick up the Rusty Claymore nearby, then use Fuse (press + to open the menu) to attach a boulder from the floor to the sword’s end, creating a powerful hammer. Swing at the cracked stone wall ahead to smash it open and proceed.
Second Room: Chests and Fire Fruit
In the next chamber, smash the stone pillars with your fused weapon-one in the top-left corner holds a chest with 5 Arrows. Head right to grab Fire Fruit from the glowing plants, an Old Wooden Bow if needed, and 5 more Arrows from the ground. Fuse a Fire Fruit to an arrow (via the Fuse menu while aiming), then shoot the leafy vines on the high wall to burn them away, dropping a chest with a Small Key.โ
Unlocking the Door
Return to the locked door near the first broken wall and use the Small Key to open it, leading to the final combat area.
Combat Arena: Soldier Construct
A Soldier Construct spawns here-equip your boulder-fused sword for heavy hits, dodge its swings to trigger Flurry Rush, or burn the floor vines with another Fire Fruit arrow to set it ablaze and stagger it. Defeat it quickly, then smash the final cracked wall behind the arena with your fused weapon.
Shrine Completion
Approach the altar at the end, pray to claim a Light of Blessing, and exit. This shrine has two chests total: 5 Arrows and a Small Key (which enables full completion).
