Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Sikukuu Shrine Location and Walkthrough

Guides

Hidden within the wilds of the Gerudo Desert, the Sikukuu Shrine challenges your mastery of motion and timing. Its shifting platforms and precise mechanics reward clear thinking-and a keen sense of balance-for those seeking another Sage’s Light.

Sikukuu Shrine location

Sikukuu Shrine is found in the Gerudo Desert region, located northwest of Gerudo Town. The shrine sits near the sand dunes, close to a small cluster of ruins that make it easier to spot from a distance. Players can use the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower to glide toward its general area, then follow the sandy trails leading west. The intense heat during the day requires heat-resistant gear or elixirs, so it’s best to prepare before heading out.

The Sikukuu Shrine is located in the Eldin Mountains at the (0700, 2793, 0226) coordinates.

Sikukuu Shrine walkthrough

The Sikukuu Shrine challenges you with puzzles focused on wind currents and gliding precision. Use your paraglider to catch the updrafts and reach distant platforms, paying attention to the placement of fans and switches that control airflow. Some puzzles require timing your glides carefully to cross gaps or reach elevated ledges. Treasure chests are placed along alternate routes, rewarding exploration before heading to the final altar.

1. Enter the shrine and head down a steep set of stairs. You’ll notice the spinning gear on the wall. Balls are falling from an opening at the top left corner, and the gear is guiding its fall to the left.

2. Use Recall to make the gear spin the other way, thus leading a ball into the indent on the floor to the right of the gear. Once the ball is nested in the correct spot, the gate under the gear will open. Head through there. You’ll see one massive gear and two smaller gears with a knob to turn them.

3. Use the knob on the right side of the platform to rotate the gear. Use Ultrahand for this, spinning the knob to the left, counterclockwise.

4. Hop onto the gear itself, into one of the slots. Use Recall to reverse the gear while you’re on it, and it’ll drop you into a secret chamber.

5. The chest in the secret chamber has a Zonaite longsword. Grab that.

6. Look straight up. Use Ascend to transport yourself back upstairs.

How to get to Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower

Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower is located north of Great Hyrule Forest in the Thyphlo Ruins at coordinates 0343, 3133, 0180, making it a key waypoint for reaching nearby shrines like Sikukuu.

Access Routes

Travel north from Goron City past YunoboCo HQ, then west into the ruins, or head east from Snowfield Stable in Pikida Stonegrove via the northeast road past the Forgotten Temple. Avoid the swampy moat by sticking to paths; the tower stands prominently amid ruins.

Activation Steps

Speak to NPC Billson at the base, who notes the blockage. Use Ascend on the lowest floating Zonai platform left of the tower (facing doors) to reach it, defeat the enemy, attach its two Zonai Rockets facing up with Ultrahand, and strike one to launch upward-paraglide to the top central platform.

Clearing the Blockage

At the summit, a platform blocks the hatch. Use Ultrahand to shift it aside, or attach a fan/rocket to lift it. Return to the base pedestal to activate, launching you skyward to reveal the map and create a warp point.
