How to find Jaeger s family basement in Anvil Square Fortnite

Guides

Hidden beneath Anvil Square lies the Jaeger’s Family Basement-a secret spot tied to Fortnite’s battle pass reward from the Attack on Titan set. Here’s how to find it before your rivals claim its loot.

Before you get started, note that you do need the battle pass in order to claim the Basement Key back bling reward. If you don’t have the battle pass, there’s not really a reason for you to head to this location.

Where to find Jaeger’s Family Basement in Anvil Square

Head to Anvil Square and glide toward the house at the far southeast corner of the POI, right by the river and bridge. Land on or near this two-story building, then move to its west side where you will see an overhanging roof with a small covered area. Go down the exterior stairs there and open the door at the bottom to enter Jaeger’s Family Basement and trigger the quest update as soon as you step inside.โ€‹

In Anvil Square, head to the house in the southeast most part of the town. An entryway that faces east will take you down to the basement. We’ve marked the location below.

Once you get inside, there’s nothing particular of note. There may be a chest inside, but it’s not like a vault filled with loot. As you step foot inside, you’ll complete Eren Jaeger quest, rewarding you with the Basement Key back bling. That said, there’s no particular incentive to drop directly in Anvil Square for this quest, since there’s no extra rewards.

If you do drop directly to the Jaeger Family Basements, you may run into a ton of players also looking to complete the quest, especially if you do this closer to the day the quests launched. We dropped on launch day (April 11) and were met with dozens of other players scrambling to find the key and basement. As the season progresses, it’ll become a safer area to drop for sure.

How to complete visit 5 Guard Towers quest

This quest is part of the Eren Jaeger set: you just need to visit any five Guard Towers on the island; you do not need to eliminate enemies or interact with anything there.โ€‹โ€‹

How the quest works

  • Guard Towers are the tall, dark stone “castle” towers placed around the autumn-colored biome of the Chapter 4 Season 2 map.โ€‹โ€‹

  • Simply landing on, touching, or briefly standing on the platform of a tower counts as a visit; you’ll see the counter go up (1/5, 2/5, etc.).โ€‹

  • They can be done in one match or across multiple matches; progress carries over.โ€‹

Where to find Guard Towers

You only need any five. Here are seven known spots around named locations in the autumn area:โ€‹

  • East of Slappy Shores.โ€‹

  • South of Anvil Square.โ€‹

  • East of Shattered Slabs.โ€‹

  • East of The Citadel.โ€‹

  • Northeast of The Citadel.โ€‹

  • On the coast directly east of The Citadel.โ€‹

  • South of Breakwater Bay.โ€‹

A good route is to land near The Citadel and move between the three nearby towers (east, northeast, and along the eastern coast), then rotate toward Anvil Square or Breakwater Bay for the remaining towers.โ€‹โ€‹

Reward

Finishing “Visit 5 Guard Towers” grants the Scout Regiment Salute emote as one of the Eren Jaeger quest rewards.โ€‹

Where are the exact locations of all guard towers on the map

There are seven Guard Towers on the Chapter 4 Season 2 island; you only need to visit any five for the quest to count. Since I can’t pull up the map for you this turn, I’ll describe each one as precisely as possible so you can match them to your in-game map.โ€‹

All Guard Tower landmarks

Each Guard Tower is a named landmark (it appears in small white text when you approach). These are the seven:

  • Secluded Spire – A lone tower just east of Slappy Shores, slightly inland from the coast.โ€‹

  • Pleasant Passage – South-west of Slappy Shores, sitting between that area and the central/western autumn biome; this one has a few extra houses around it.โ€‹

  • Seaside Sentry – A tower on the eastern coastline near Shattered Slabs, on a cliff by the sea.โ€‹

  • Royal Ruin – On the long eastern peninsula that sticks furthest out into the ocean (far east edge of the map).โ€‹

  • Western Watch – West or north-west of The Citadel, close enough that you can glide there straight from that POI.โ€‹

  • Eastern Watch – Just east of The Citadel, very close to it; you can usually see the castle from the tower.โ€‹

  • Warden’s Watch – North of The Citadel, up on high ground near where the big Chapter 4 Season 1 event rift appeared.โ€‹

Practical route tip

A simple way to finish the quest is:

  • Land at any tower near The Citadel (Western Watch, Eastern Watch, or Warden’s Watch).

  • Rotate along the coast to Seaside Sentry and Royal Ruin, then finish at Secluded Spire or Pleasant Passage near Slappy Shores, depending on the storm.โ€‹

As soon as you touch or briefly stand on the stone platform of a tower, it counts as visiting that location.
