Pokémon Go Spring into Spring 2023 Event Collection Challenge Guide and Tips

Guides

Flowers bloom and festive Pokémon fill the map as the ‘Spring into Spring’ 2023 event brings cheerful challenges, limited-time spawns, and a Collection Challenge that rewards trainers who complete it before the petals fall.

Spring into Spring event bonuses, dates

The Spring into Spring 2023 event ran from April 4 to April 10, offering themed bonuses such as double Candy for hatching Pokémon, half Egg Hatch Distance, and longer durations for Lucky Eggs. Players could encounter costumed Pikachu, Eevee, and Chansey wearing cherry blossom crowns, along with rare spawns like Cutiefly making its debut. Event-themed Field Research tasks, special Egg pools, and a limited-time Collection Challenge rewarded extra XP and encounters with spring-themed Pokémon.

The event runs from April 4-10 and also features doubled hatch candy, egg hatch distance cut in half (when put into an Incubator during the event period), and doubled Lucky Egg duration.

Note that the flower crown and cherry blossom costumes are two separate things. The flower crown costume is from older events, though you can find some flower crown Pokémon during this event. The pink cherry blossoms are the new costume for “Spring into Spring” 2023, and you’ll only find the Eevee and Pikachu line wearing them. They can be found shiny, if you’re super lucky.

Best spots and lures for Cutiefly during the event

During the Pokémon Go “Spring into Spring” 2023 event (April 4-10), Cutiefly debuted with boosted wild spawns, making it easier to find in nature-themed biomes.

Best Spots

Parks, gardens, and areas with grassy or floral environments were prime locations, as Cutiefly favors Bug- and Fairy-type habitats. Urban PokéStop clusters near green spaces also worked well due to event boosts.

Effective Lures

Use Lure Modules on PokéStops to significantly increase Cutiefly spawns, especially in groups of stops for chain lures. Pair with Incense while walking in boosted areas for personal encounters; weather like rain or clouds further enhanced rates.

How to evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee

In Pokémon Go, Cutiefly evolves into Ribombee using 50 Cutiefly Candy, with no additional items or special conditions required.

Candy Requirements

You’ll need exactly 50 Cutiefly Candy per evolution. Catch multiple Cutiefly during boosted events like Spring into Spring 2023, use Pinap Berries for double candy on catches, or set one as your buddy (1 Candy per 1 km walked).

Gathering Tips

Hatch 2 km eggs for potential Cutiefly and bonus candy (especially with event halved hatch distance). Transfer extras for more candy, prioritizing high-IV or shiny ones for keeping. Evolve promptly during events when spawns are high to complete Collection Challenges efficiently.
