Jirachi returns to Pokémon Go with the Wish Granted Masterwork Research, offering Trainers a rare chance to earn the mythical Pokémon through a fresh set of demanding tasks and exclusive rewards that test dedication and timing.
In order to get these tasks, you’ll need to buy the “Masterwork Research: Wish Granted” pass in the shop for $4.99. You can only purchase the pass up until March 20, but once you buy and start it, there is no time limit for completing it. This makes sense, as the tasks in the set should take the average player weeks, if not months, to complete.
Note that a different version of this research was made available to players who attended the Go Tour: Hoenn event in Las Vegas, but we list the steps to the global version below.
Wish Granted step 1 of 6
Step 1 of the “Wish Granted” Masterwork Research introduces players to the Jirachi questline with several straightforward objectives. Trainers are asked to catch a set number of Pokémon, use certain items like Incense or Berries, and make progress through specific encounter goals. The “Wish Granted” Masterwork Research offers exclusive rewards centered on encountering Shiny Jirachi, but its high cost makes it a decision for dedicated collectors rather than casual players. However, since similar bonuses can be earned through regular gameplay, the main appeal rests on owning the rare Shiny Mythical Pokémon itself.
