Destiny 2 Xur Location and Exotic Items for December 2-6 Inventory Guide

Guides

Xur has landed once again, bringing a fresh stash of Exotics and surprises for Guardians hungry for powerful gear. From Dec. 2 to 6, check where the mysterious merchant has set up shop and see what treasures he’s offering this weekend.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Cerberus 1, Kinetic auto rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Wormhusk Crown, Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Peregrine Greaves, Titan legs: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Skull of Dire Ahamkara, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
  • Exotic Cipher quest: free

As of Season of the Risen and The Witch Queen, Xur sells a random roll of both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale each week.

Here’s what he’s selling this weekend:

  • Hawkmoon, Kinetic hand cannon (Snapshot Sights): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard
  • Dead Man’s Tale, Kinetic scout rifle (Killing Wind): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard

As of Season of the Lost, Xur also sells a collection of old armor and weapons – similar to Banshee-44 and Ada-1. Usually, these items are difficult to find and from seasons long past. Each item (whether armor or weapon) costs only 1,000 Glimmer and 50 Legendary Shards.

Xur’s Legendary inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Vulpecula, Stasis hand cannon
  • Farewell, Kinetic sidearm
  • Extraordinary Rendition, Kinetic submachine gun
  • Fractethyst, Stasis shotgun
  • Far Future, Sniper rifle
  • Fallen Guillotine, Void sword
  • Stars in Shadow, Solar pulse rifle
  • Seventh Seraph armor set

Xur’s items drop at a power level similar to that of your character.

Cerberus 1

Cerberus+1 is an Exotic auto rifle that fires four barrels at once, creating a chaotic but powerful spread at close range. Its unique perk, “Four-Headed Dog,” allows it to shoot multiple projectiles per trigger pull, dealing heavy damage when all shots connect. The weapon performs best in tight encounters, especially when paired with stability-boosting mods. With its aggressive playstyle, Cerberus+1 rewards players who can control its recoil and keep pressure on enemies.

Cerberus 1 is a strange Exotic added in Forsaken. It’s an auto rifle that fires four shots at once, and behaves more like an automatic shotgun with more range and less damage. Its main Exotic perk is Four-Headed Dog, which causes it to fire one bullet from each of the gun’s four barrels simultaneously. Spread Shot Package makes the gun far more accurate when you aim down your sights.

The gun also has a Catalyst, found randomly by killing enemies in the world, that adds the ability to hold the reload button for an even tighter spread made for close-range combat.

Cerberus 1 is one of Destiny 2‘s wackiest weapons. It’s very fun to use if you can get accustomed to its generally inaccurate nature. So while it isn’t what we’d call “good,” it’s definitely worth picking up.

Wormhusk Crown

Wormhusk Crown remains a reliable choice for Hunters who favor agility and survivability. Its Burning Souls perk restores health and shields when dodging, which can shift the tide in tight encounters. Paired with an aggressive playstyle or Gambit invasions, it rewards quick reflexes and smart repositioning. This week’s roll can influence how resilient and mobile your setup feels, making it worth checking before you skip Xur’s lineup.

Wormhusk Crown is one of the campaign Exotics from Warmind, so you may already have a good roll from 2018. But with the Warmind campaign gone, the easiest way to get a new roll is to buy it from Xur this week. The Exotic perk is Burning Souls, which heals you after dodging.

This is a very powerful helmet in the Crucible. If you’re a PvP player, you should pick this up.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Peregrine Greaves

Peregrine Greaves boost Titan Shoulder Charge damage from the air via Peregrine Strike, turning dives into devastating melee slams that one-shot weaker foes. Recent buffs make airborne hits refund melee energy and shred Champions or minibosses in PvE, though PvP limits apply. Xûr stocks these legs this week for Titans chasing close-range power.

Peregrine Greaves is a great Exotic for Titans who love to smash their knees into enemies at full speed. Its Exotic perk is Peregrine Strike, which causes all shoulder charge abilities to deal bonus damage if activated mid-air. The bonus damage from Peregrine Strike is no joke, and can take down Major enemies pretty easily. This is a great Titan Exotic that’s also really fun to use. If you ever play Titan, pick this up.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 64 total stats.

Destiny 2 guide

Xur returns this weekend with a new batch of Exotic gear and Legendary items for Guardians to pick up. Players can find him from December 2 to 6 offering weapons, armor pieces, and rolls that might enhance their builds across activities. His location changes each week, so checking the map and inventory early can help secure rare Exotics before the reset.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara

The Skull of Dire Ahamkara is a Warlock Exotic helmet focused on Void-class builds. Its intrinsic perk, Actual Grandeur, reduces damage taken during Nova Bomb activation and provides Super energy on kills with it. This makes it a strong choice for players who enjoy aggressive Super playstyles, allowing for more frequent use of Nova Bomb in high-level PvE content or Crucible matches.

The Skull of Dire Ahamkara is the Warlock helmet on offer this week. It’s a pretty good exotic – although nerfed in Year 3 – and can be devastating when used properly. Its exotic perk, Actual Grandeur, causes you to take very low damage while casting Nova Bomb – and your Nova Bomb kills grant Super Energy instantly.

If you can accurately place your Nova Bomb in a large group of enemies – in PvE or even PvP – you will refund quite a bit of super energy. If you like playing Voidwalker at all (especially with the new Void 3.0 changes), this is a great helmet.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Exotic Cipher quest

The Exotic Cipher quest from Xur offers players a way to earn an additional Cipher each week, which can be exchanged at the Monument to Lost Lights for older Exotic weapons. Completing his weekly quest usually involves finishing strikes or Crucible matches and collecting a set number of resources or materials. This is a great opportunity for Guardians who want to expand their Exotic collection without relying solely on random drops.

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the Tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

How to get to Xur in Winding Cove EDZ

To reach Xûr when he’s in Winding Cove in the EDZ (European Dead Zone), follow these steps from the landing zone.

Step-by-Step Directions

  • Spawn at the Winding Cove transmat point in the EDZ.

  • Hop on your Sparrow and head north across the broken overpass bridge.

  • At the bend near the end, dismount and look left for a cave opening in the cliff face.

  • Enter the cave tunnel; it leads up to a ridge with a crashed Fallen dropship-Xûr stands nearby on the cliff edge under or beside it.

Tips

Clear out nearby Fallen enemies first for safety. This spot is one of Xûr’s classic EDZ locations, used across multiple weeks like November 2019 and May 2022. If you’re lost, hug the left/north path and climb via rocks or the cave.

What exotics is Xur selling this week in Winding Cove

Xûr’s inventory rotates weekly and isn’t fixed for any specific visit to Winding Cove in the EDZ, as it’s one of his standard locations.

Typical Offerings

He always sells one Exotic weapon (e.g., Cerberus+1 or Tractor Cannon in past EDZ weeks), one piece of class-specific Exotic armor per Guardian type (like Transverse Steps for Hunters, Frost-EE5 for Titans), an Exotic Engram, Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale reforged rolls, a free Xenology quest, and random Legendaries-all for Legendary Shards, Glimmer, and sometimes other materials.

Checking This Week

Visit him in-game at Winding Cove (spawn at landing zone, Sparrow north over broken bridge, enter left cave tunnel to ridge) to see current stock, as no live details for February 2026 match this exact setup in available data. Trackers like whereisxur.com update weekly for the latest.
