All ’Pawmot Drop Event’ promo cards list

The “Pawmot Drop Event” in Pokémon TCG Pocket features a total of five promotional cards that players can collect by battling AI opponents and earning Promo Pack A Series Vol. 6. The promo cards include the full-art Pawmot, a lightning-type Pokémon with 140 HP and the Counterattack ability; Floatzel, a water-type with a unique Attack the Wound move; Machamp, a fighting-type with a powerful Power Press attack; Bidoof, a basic colorless Pokémon; and Ekans, a darkness-type with a Poison Sting attack. These cards showcase alternate artwork and some feature new stats and moves, enriching the gameplay experience during the event. Players can obtain these cards by winning battles at various difficulty levels, with higher difficulties increasing the chances of receiving promo packs.

There are five different promo cards you can earn as part of the “Pawmot ex Drop Event.” Here they all are:

  • Pawmot is a stage two lightning-type that has 140 HP and no retreat cost. It has an ability called Counterattack that does 20 damage to your opponent’s active Pokémon each time Pawmot is attacked. It can use the move, Electric Punch, which does 70 damage and requires two energy to use.
  • Floatzel is a stage one water-type that has 100 HP and a retreat cost of one energy. It can use the move Attack the Wound. It requires one energy to use and it has a base attack of 10, and does an additional 60 damage if your opponent’s Pokémon has damage on it.
  • Machamp is a stage two fighting-type that has 150HP and a retreat cost of two. It can use the move Power Press, which has a base power of 70 damage and can do 50 more damage if it has at least two additional fighting energy attached.
  • Bidoof is a basic colorless Pokémon that has 70 HP and a retreat cost of two energy. It uses the move Headbutt, which requires two energy and does 30 damage.
  • Ekans is a basic darkness-type with 60 HP and a retreat cost of one energy. It needs one energy to use the attack, Poison Sting, which poisons your opponent’s active Pokémon.

How to get all ’Pawmot Drop Event’ cards

To get all the ’Pawmot Drop Event’ cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, players need to participate in the event’s solo battles against AI opponents across four difficulty levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. Winning battles consumes Event Stamina, which regenerates over time or can be replenished with Event Hourglasses. Promo Pack A Series Vol. 6, containing one promotional card per pack, is awarded as a chance reward after each victory, with the highest drop rate guaranteed at the Expert level. Additionally, players receive a Promo Pack as a first-time reward for completing each difficulty tier. Focusing on farming Expert battles is the most efficient way to collect all five unique promo cards, including the full-art Pawmot, Floatzel, Machamp, Bidoof, and Ekans.

You earn cards by opening cards from Promo Pack A Series Vol. 6. These packs contain one promo card per pack and have a pink wrapper exterior. You earn them by completing the battles in the “Gible Drop Event.” One battle requires one token of Event Stamina, which recharges passively over time or can be replenished with Event Hourglasses.

You aren’t guaranteed to win a promo pack for each battle challenge you win: The promo card packs are listed in the game as a “chance reward” for every single battle. However, in AELGAMES’s experience, we had a much higher chance of earning one from finishing battles on the “Expert” difficulty. In fact, it rewarded us with a promo pack every time we beat the bot on that level.

Best decks for the ’Pawmot Drop Event’

For the ’Pawmot Drop Event’ in Pokémon TCG Pocket, the best decks to use are those that capitalize on Fighting-type Pokémon, as the event decks are heavily Electric-type focused. A top-performing deck is the Rampardos/Lucario combo, which is fast and powerful, making it effective even against the Expert tier battles. This deck includes key cards like Riolu, Cranidos, Rampardos, Lucario, and support cards such as Professor’s Research and Poke Ball, designed to efficiently counter the Electric-heavy enemy decks featuring Pawmot and its evolutions. Using this deck helps players clear the event battles more easily while farming for the full-art Pawmot promo card and other rewards.

As with previous drop events, there are four difficulty levels in the “Pawmot Drop Event”: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. The deck-building advice below will set you up to tackle the Expert difficulty, so you can breeze through the easier difficulties using the advice below.

The “Pawmot Drop Event” features decks that use electric-type cards like Pachirisu, Pikachu ex (Shining Revelry version), and Pawmot. As a result, you will want to focus on building fighting-type decks for this challenge.

  • If you want to breeze through the event and not worry about clearing all the special challenges that restrict the kinds of cards you can use, Marowak ex and Aerodactyl ex are great starting options when building a deck to counter Pawmot. Both offer solid attacking power, with a relatively short ramp-up.
  • Marshadow will be a massive boon to your deck while doing this challenge. Its attack Revenge, has a base power of 40 and it does an additional 60 damage if your opponent knocked out one of your Pokémon on the previous turn. This makes it a viable threat to both the Pawmot and the Pikachu ex.
  • You can also use the Lucario from Space-Time Smackdown. Its ability, Fighting Coach, ups the attack of all fighting-type Pokémon by 20 and will be a huge help in this challenge.
  • The Wigglytuff from Shining Revelryhelped us a ton in this challenge (especially if you want to clear it with no ex or other rare cards). Its ability Comforting Song can heal 20 damage on your active Pokémon per turn. It can be used to help make your cards more resilient and this ability has great synergy with Tool cards like Rocky Helmet or Giant Cape.
  • Hitmonchan is also another solid option. It requires three energy to use its move Magnum Punch. It’s a bit much, but it does 90 damage and you can leave Hitmonchan on the bench until it’s ready to come out while other cards like Wiggytuff stall. (We weren’t lucky enough to have the Lucario card so we went with this card instead.)
  • As always, Tool cards will be indispensable in challenges like these. Rocky Helmet can allow you to chip away at Pokémon’s HP more quickly while Giant Cape can beef up the HP of your Basic Pokémon.
  • Other than what we listed above, some other great support options include Cyrus, Professor’s Research, Leaf, and Poké Ball.

How can I build the ultimate deck using Pawmot and its promo cards

To build the ultimate deck using Pawmot and its promo cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, focus on leveraging Pawmot’s strengths while addressing its weaknesses with complementary cards and strategies:

  • Core Pokémon: Use Pawmot as your main attacker. Its ability, Counterattack, deals 20 damage back whenever it is hit, and its Electric Punch attack hits for 70 damage with only two energy required.

  • Type Synergy: Since Pawmot and related promo cards are Electric-type and weak to Fighting-type Pokémon, build a deck that supports Pawmot’s lightning attacks but also includes Pokémon that can cover its weaknesses or exploit common opponent weaknesses. For example, Pachirisu can accelerate energy with its Plasma attack, speeding up Pawmot’s attacks.

  • Supporting Pokémon: Include Floatzel for additional Water-type coverage and Machamp or other Fighting-types to counter opponents that threaten Pawmot. Bidoof and Ekans can be used for utility and status effects like poisoning.

  • Trainer and Tool Cards: Use Trainer cards like Cyrus, Professor’s Research, Leaf, and Poké Ball to search and draw cards efficiently. Tool cards such as Rocky Helmet (to chip away opponent HP) and Giant Cape (to boost your Pokémon’s HP) enhance your durability and pressure.

  • Energy Management: Prioritize energy acceleration and distribution strategies to quickly power Pawmot’s Electric Punch. Pachirisu is particularly useful for this purpose.

  • Counter Opponent Decks: Since the event features many Electric-type decks, consider including Fighting-type Pokémon like Marowak ex, Aerodactyl ex, Marshadow, and Lucario (which boosts Fighting-type attacks) to exploit their common weakness.

  • Deck Refinement Tips: Avoid overloading on generic draw cards; instead, add Pokémon and Trainers with abilities that search for specific cards to maintain consistency.

  • Event Strategy: For the Pawmot Drop Event, expert-level decks focus on fighting-type counters, but a well-built Pawmot deck with energy acceleration and solid support can still be competitive. Use the event’s promo cards to enhance your deck’s power and versatility.

By combining Pawmot’s counterattack ability with energy acceleration, supportive Pokémon, and strategic Trainer and Tool cards, you can create a balanced, fast, and resilient deck that maximizes Pawmot’s potential and dominates the Pawmot Drop Event challenges.

What are the best card combinations to maximize Pawmot’s Counterattack ability

To maximize Pawmot’s Counterattack ability, the best card combinations focus on enhancing its damage output and survivability while exploiting its ability to deal damage back when hit:

  • Pawmo PAL 075 + Relicanth TEF 084: This combo allows you to use Levin Strike to set up knockouts before discarding energy, maintaining pressure on the opponent’s active and benched Pokémon.

  • Electrobullet + Cursed Duskull line (Dusknoir): Using Electrobullet combined with the Cursed Duskull line’s Defiance ability can boost damage to 210, enabling you to take out high-threat Pokémon efficiently.

  • Power Glass (Tool card): Instead of energy generators, Power Glass improves consistency by protecting your energy attachments and boosting Pawmot’s attack reliability.

  • Energy Acceleration with Magneton or Pachirisu: While not directly mentioned in the sources, energy acceleration helps get Pawmot’s two Lightning energies faster to enable its Electric Punch attack, which synergizes with Counterattack.

  • Supporting Fighters like Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee: These single-energy Fighting-type Pokémon can quickly chip away at opponents, complementing Pawmot’s counter damage strategy and covering weaknesses.

  • Trainer Cards like Cyrus and Giant Cape: Cyrus helps manipulate opponent’s bench to maximize damage from Counterattack, while Giant Cape adds survivability to Pawmot, keeping it in play longer to trigger Counterattack more often.

  • Marshadow for Revenge Attacks: Marshadow’s ability to deal extra damage if one of your Pokémon was knocked out last turn works well with Pawmot’s aggressive style, helping finish off opponents.

These combinations focus on boosting Pawmot’s damage through synergy with other cards that increase attack power, protect energy, and manipulate the battlefield, making the most of its Counterattack ability to reflect damage and secure knockouts efficiently.
