During the “Searching Sakai” quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can find Imai Sokyu just southeast of the Money Changer District in the Sakai area. He is located inside a house near the main path running down the middle of Sakai, on the southwest side. To locate him efficiently, head down the central path of Sakai toward the southern end, then use the observation mode (L2/LT) to spot the small blue quest marker indicating his position. Enter the house and you will meet Imai Sokyu’s son, Imai Sokun, who will advance the quest through dialogue. Following this interaction, you will continue with subsequent objectives in the storyline.
When you arrive in Sakai, you spend some time talking to a few gunsmiths looking for any information regarding a woman who has a golden teppo. On the eastern part of town, you’ll find two men talking who you can eavesdrop on their conversation.
Next, you must talk to them. Your objective is to obtain the contracts they have, which will give you a chance to talk to Imai Sokyu.
When you talk to them, none of the dialogue options will prevent you from acquiring the contracts. The worst case scenario here results in them figuring out you’re not affiliated with the Imai and summarily running from or attacking you. Just be a good assassin and kill them to obtain the papers.
