Ready to explore every shadow and ring every bell? Here’s your definitive guide to locating all bell locations on PC and PlayStation.

In this Black Myth: Wukongguide, we’ll walk you through where to find all three bells and how to earn the Fireproof Mantle once you reach the secret area.

Bell location #1 in Black Myth: Wukong

The first bell in Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 1 is located in the Forest of Wolves area, near the Outside the Forest Keeper’s Shrine. To find it, head into the forest from the shrine, take the left path past some enemies, cross a bridge, and enter the arena where you will face the optional boss Guangzhi. After defeating Guangzhi, the bell can be found at the back of the arena under an arch. Ringing this bell initiates the quest to find all three bells and unlocks access to a secret area and boss later in the chapter.

The first bell – which starts you out on this whole quest – is in the same arena as the Guangzhi boss fight. You can find Guangzhi in the Forest of Wolves, at the end of the left path and over the bridge after the “Outside the Forest” Shrine.

After you defeat Guangzhi and claim his weapon (unlocking the Transformation spell feature), head to the back of his arena and you’ll find the bell sitting under an arch. Ring it.

Bell location #2 in Black Myth: Wukong

The second bell in Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 1 is located in the Bamboo Grove area near the Snake Trail Keeper’s Shrine. From the shrine, head upstairs beside it, cross the bridge, then take the left path under the bridge to enter the bamboo grove. Proceed through the middle path between the rocks to reach an open area where you will face and defeat the boss Guangmou. After defeating him, ascend the stairs in the boss arena and continue along the path to find the second bell at a dead end. Ringing this bell is essential to progressing the bell quest and unlocking the secret area later in the chapter.

Continuing along the main path in chapter 1. Past the “Snake Trail” Shrine in Bamboo Grove, you’ll run into another boss, Guangmou. Defeat him and you’ll have two paths: a wide staircase ahead of you and a narrow staircase to the right of the entrance. Take the wide staircase and you’ll very quickly run into the second bell and a dead end. Ring it and head back to the narrow staircase to continue the chapter.

Bell location #3 in Black Myth: Wukong

The third bell in Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 1 is located after defeating the Whiteclad Noble boss near the Marsh of White Mist Shrine. After the fight, instead of entering the nearby building, take the path through the water and proceed to a small clearing where you will face a group of wolves. Defeat them and continue forward to find the bell just beyond a hanging white wolf. Ringing this bell will teleport you to the secret Ancient Guanyin Temple, unlocking a hidden boss fight and granting access to the valuable Fireproof Mantle vessel.

Shortly after Guangmou, still in Bamboo Grove, you’ll find the “Marsh of White Mist” Shrine. Save the monkey just past the Shrine and then take down the Whiteclad Noble boss. Once he’s gone, ignore the path into the building and instead take the left path through the water.

After a short walk, you’ll enter a small clearing. Kill the wolves that ambush you and walk forward to the final bell, which is just past the hanging white wolf. Ring it and the game will instantly teleport you to the game’s first secret area.

How to beat Elder Jinchi in Black Myth: Wukong

To beat Elder Jinchi in Black Myth: Wukong, maintain distance to avoid his powerful area attacks and only approach when you spot an opening. Dodge his earth-shattering moves carefully, especially his stomp and shockwave attacks. Use the immobilize spell to freeze him temporarily, allowing you to land heavy damage. Summon the Guangmou spirit form to apply poison damage and transform into Guangzhi to unleash fire attacks when your health is low. During the fight, Jinchi will summon zombie minions; kill them quickly to prevent him from healing and to regain some of your own health. Patience and timing your attacks while managing the minions are key to defeating this boss efficiently.

After ringing the third bell, you’ll arrive in Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple, a dark version of the temple where you fought Lingxuzi, the giant white wolf. Activate the “Grand Chamber” Shrine.

Before proceeding through the door ahead, open the three chests near the dead tree to get the Guanyin’s Prayer Beads arms and some crafting resources. When you’re ready for a boss fight, head through the doors and into the main arena.

Inside, you’ll meet Elder Jinchi and engage him in a boss fight. His moveset and style is similar to the Wandering Wight mini-boss, although Elder Jinchi is less aggressive. Where he differentiates himself is with the legion of zombies he will occasionally summon – including to heal himself. Just focus on beating down the boss and occasionally taking out the zombies when they overwhelm you or are attempting to heal Jinchi.

Once you’ve defeated the boss, you’ll be kicked out of the Ancient Guanyin Temple (you can travel back in if you forgot anything) and situated in front of the final bell. Interact with the hanging white wolf in front of you to get the Fireproof Mantle, your first Vessel – a unique kind of artifact that has both an active and passive benefit.

The Fireproof Mantle passively increases your burn resistance and grants immunity to some fire damage while equipped. You can also activate the Fireproof Mantle after generating enough Qi, which gives you complete burn immunity for a time and gradually increases your Focus. This item will be very helpful for the final boss of the first chapter, so be sure to equip it.

Where are the hidden locations of all three bells in Black Myth Wukong chapter 1

In Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 1, the three hidden bells are located as follows:

  1. First Bell: Inside the Guangzhi boss arena in the Forest of Wolves area. From the Outside the Forest Keeper’s Shrine, head straight past some wolves, cross the wooden bridge, and enter the Guangzhi arena. Defeat Guangzhi, then find the bell in a small shrine building at the back of the arena and ring it.

  2. Second Bell: In the Guangmou boss arena near the Snake Trail Shrine in the Bamboo Grove region. From the Snake Trail Shrine, go upstairs, cross a wooden bridge, then take a left path under the bridge through the bamboo grove to find Guangmou. After defeating him, ring the bell located at a dead end behind the arena.

  3. Third Bell: Near the Marsh of White Mist Shrine in Bamboo Grove. After defeating the Whiteclad Noble boss, take the path through the water and rocks on the left side. At the end of this path, past some wolf enemies and a hanging white wolf, ring the third bell to be teleported to the secret Ancient Guanyin Temple area.

Ringing all three bells unlocks the secret area where you face the Elder Jinchi boss and earn the Fireproof Mantle Vessel, granting burn resistance and other benefits.

What is the exact path to reach the second bell after Guangzhi in chapter 1

To reach the second bell after defeating Guangzhi in Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong, follow these steps:

  1. After beating Guangmou, the Yaoguai Chief boss in the Bamboo Grove region near the Snake Trail Keeper’s Shrine, do not proceed through the cave to the right of the arena.

  2. Instead, head up the stone steps located near the arena entrance.

  3. At the top of these stairs, take the wide staircase in front of you rather than the narrow one to the right.

  4. Follow this wide staircase to a dead end where the second bell is located.

  5. Ring the bell here to progress the three bells quest.

This path is just beyond the Guangmou boss fight, and the bell is tucked away at the end of the wide staircase, making it easy to miss if you continue along the main cave path.
