Mystery merchants scatter across Sanctuary, offering rare loot for Murmuring Obols-but tracking them all down isn’t simple. Here’s where every Purveyor of Curiosity hides and what you can expect from their elusive stock.
Diablo 4 has done away with the gambling currency of Diablo 3 – Blood Shards – and replaced it with a different currency that you can get from the new World Events: Murmuring Obols. The ability to gamble for gear is a crucial part of gearing up in the late game, so you’ll want to collect Murmuring Obols whenever you can. But you can only spend them with one vendor: the creepy Purveyors of Curiosity.
In this Diablo 4 guide, we’ll show you where to find all of the Purveyors of Curiosity in Sanctuary.
Our interactive map can give you a bird’s-eye view of the locations for all eight Purveyors of Curiosities in Sanctuary, allowing you to quickly scan the continent and find where you need to go.
Note: In season 2, Blizzard moved each Purveyor of Curiosities to more convenient locations. Instead of being in dark alleys or other thematically appropriate areas for shady vendors, they’re now operating out in the open near other locations. We’ve included a description for each Purveyor of Curiosity’s new location.

Which Purveyor sells the best chance for legendaries
All Purveyors of Curiosity in Diablo 4 offer identical odds for legendary items when gambling with Murmuring Obols, as their inventories and drop rates are randomized universally across vendors.
Inventory Mechanics
No single Purveyor provides better chances for legendaries; each sells gear from the same pool, including weapons, armor, and accessories up to legendary rarity. Higher item power scales with world tier, but legendary drop probability remains consistent at roughly 1-2% per roll based on community data.
Vendor Strategy
Focus on slots needing upgrades rather than vendor location, since Murmuring Obols are region-specific but odds aren’t. Farm Obols via events or Whisper caches, then spend at the nearest Purveyor like Lisveth in Kyovashad for convenience.
Which Purveyor location has the highest legendary drop rates
No Purveyor of Curiosity location in Diablo 4 offers higher legendary drop rates than others.
Drop Rate Equality
All Purveyors use the same randomized loot pools and odds for legendary items when spending Murmuring Obols, regardless of their region or town. Community testing and guides confirm drop rates remain uniform at around 1-2% per gamble, scaling only with world tier.
Optimization Tips
Prioritize farming Obols in higher-level areas for better item power rather than switching vendors. Use any convenient location, such as Kyovashad’s Lisveth, to maximize efficiency without chasing myths of superior rates.
