Hidden across the Mojave Wasteland are seven rare snow globes that hold more value than their delicate glass shells suggest. Each one is tucked away in a corner of Fallout: New Vegas, waiting for sharp-eyed players to find and cash in for a tidy reward.
Every Mojave Wasteland snow globe location in Fallout: New Vegas
In Fallout: New Vegas, the Mojave Wasteland snow globe locations span a diverse mix of ruins, settlements, and remote outposts, from the dusty outskirts of Goodsprings to the neon-bloomed strips of New Vegas, with each globe tucked into a hidden corner or behind a mundane obstacle, inviting players to hunt, explore, and piece together a whimsical map of the wasteland.
The first seven snow globe locations are part of the base game. You don’t need to have purchased any DLC, and, since they’re found in the Mojave Wasteland, they’re generally easier to locate. The first snow globe location is especially useful as it’ll net you some coin upon your first visit to The Strip.
Goodsprings snow globe
Go to the Goodsprings Cemetery on the north side of town. It’s on a small hill, in front of the water tower. Watch out for the insects!
Hoover Dam snow globe
Go to the Hoover Dam on the east side of the map. Directly next to the teleport waypoint, you’ll find the entrance to the visitor center. Head inside and you’ll see the snow globe in front of you, on the counter.
Nellis AFB snow globe
Go to the Nellis Air Force Base in the northeast corner of the map. In the northwest, while standing with your back to Pearl’s Barracks, you’ll see three container buildings with curved roofs. The one on the right, the Boomer Museum, is where you’ll find the snow globe. Head inside and you’ll see it on a table to the right.
Mt. Charleston snow globe
Go to Jacobstown in the northwest corner of the map. Enter the Jacobstown Lodge through the front door (it’s the massive wooden building, you can’t miss it) and grab the snow globe from the reception desk.
Mormon Fort snow globe
Enter the Mormon Fort in Freeside, north of The Strip. If you fast travel to the North Gate before entering Freeside, it’ll be on your left. Inside the Mormon Fort, enter the tower in the southwest corner. Head upstairs, and you’ll find the snow globe on a cabinet on the top floor.
The Strip snow globe
First, teleport to The Strip’s north gate and enter through the front gates. Pass through two more gateways until you reach the part of The Strip with the large Vault 21 sign. Just behind that sign, enter the Vault 21 gift shop.
Enter Vault 21 and follow the path until it splits in two, then go left into the large room with the Blackjack table. Take the exit to the left (east side of the room) and walk straight ahead to the end of the hallway (before you turn the corner). The snow globe is behind the last door on the left, which is Sarah’s room.
Since the door is locked, you have the following options to get inside:
- Pick the lock (Lockpick skill level 50).
- Pickpocket Sarah to get the key.
- Kill Sarah to get the key. This will mess up your Karma, so it’s better to avoid this option.
Test Site snow globe
Go to the Lucky 38 casino on The Strip. If you haven’t done so yet, speak with Mr. House – Victor will offer to take you to him. Once that’s done, speak with Victor again and tell him you wish to visit the cocktail lounge.
Walk around the bar, and behind the tap (quite easy to miss), there’s the final snow globe in Fallout: New Vegas‘ base game.
Every DLC snow globe location in Fallout: New Vegas
Each Fallout: New Vegas DLC adds a unique snow globe tied to its setting. In Dead Money, the Sierra Madre snow globe rests on the receptionist’s desk in the casino lobby. Honest Hearts features the Zion National Park snow globe, found inside the General Store in the Dead Horses’ camp. Old World Blues hides its snow globe in the Mojave Science Center, placed on a small desk by the entrance. Finally, Lonesome Road holds the Divide snow globe in the ruined city near Ulysses’ Temple, sitting beside a broken monument to the old world.
The following four snow globes were added in various New Vegas expansions, which means they’re located on DLC maps (outside the Mojave Desert). If you purchased the DLC separately or got the Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, be sure to grab these snow globes as well, but beware that they’re a bit harder to obtain compared to the base game snow globes.
Sierra Madre snow globe (Dead Money DLC)
First, enter the Sierra de Madre map by following the “Sierra Madre Grand Opening!” quest. Next, follow the DLC questline until you gain access to the eastern part of the map, Salida del Sol. This place is quite the labyrinth; you won’t be able to reach the snow globe by simply following the road ahead as you must pass through the Salida del Sol House and find access to the rooftops first.
With your back to the Salida del Sol south entrance (the door shown in the picture above), walk to the old fountain, then turn right and follow the main road for a while. At the crossroads, when you see a vending machine in front of you, turn left and follow the path again. At the end of the path, go through the green door at the top of the dimly lit staircase with the words “Where are we” written on the wall.
You’re now inside the Salida del Sol House. Go downstairs to the left, then leave the building through the hole in the wall. Follow the road to the right (it’s filled with rubble) until you see another staircase, then walk up and walk onto the roof to the left (don’t enter the building). Keep left as you walk across the rooftops, cross to the other side of the street at the first opportunity, and there will be another hole in a wall on your left. The Sierra Madre snow globe is inside this room.
Zion National Park snow globe (Honest Hearts DLC)
First, unlock the Zion Canyon map by following the “Happy Trails Expedition” quest. In the northwest part of that map, enter the general store (south of the Zion Ranger Station). The Zion National Park snow globe is in the closet behind the counter.
Big MT snow globe (Old World Blues DLC)
First, go to the Big MT map by following the “Midnight Science Fiction Feature!” quest. In the northwestern part of the map, enter the X-17 Meteorological Station (the entrance is at the bottom of the gorge with the red crystals). The Big MT snow globe is inside the smaller control room in the middle of the large hangar.
Lonesome Road snow globe (Lonesome Road DLC)
