Ga-ahisas Shrine Location and Walkthrough in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Hidden high above the Hebra region, the Ga-ahisas Shrine challenges players with a skyborne puzzle built around precise gliding and wind control. Here’s where to find it and how to solve every twist of its airborne test.

When you’re done, our shrine locations page and interactive Hyrule map can direct you toward something else to do.

Ga-ahisas Shrine location

Ga-ahisas Shrine is located in the Hebra Mountains at coordinates (-3367, 2385, 0467), perched high above the snow-covered cliffs. To reach it, players need to travel north from Rospro Pass Skyview Tower and glide across the cold terrain using cold-resistant gear or elixirs. The shrine sits near the edge of a floating slope, making aerial or climbing access the easiest route. Be prepared for low temperatures and limited footing as the area is surrounded by icy winds and sharp elevation changes.

The Ga-ahisas Shrine is located in the Tabantha Sky Archipelago. The shrine itself is located at the coordinates (-3596, 0962, 1699), but because this is a Rauru’s Blessing shrine, you won’t be able to automatically open it. Instead, you’ll have to solve the sky island’s light refracting puzzle to access the shrine.

Ga-ahisas Shrine walkthrough

The Ga-ahisas Shrine, also known as the Rauru’s Blessing Shrine, is located on Lightcast Island high above the Tabantha Frontier. To access it, players must use the wind currents in the area and navigate through floating ruins to reach the island. Inside the shrine, there is no puzzle to solve-your reward awaits immediately. Open the chest for a valuable item, then interact with the statue to receive a Light of Blessing and complete the shrine.

The “Lightcast Island” puzzle is outside of the Ga-ahisas Shrine, requiring you to use Zonai mirrors to reflect light around a cave leading to a button that’ll open up the shrine. The challenge is in finding the mirrors – they’re all basically in place, but the cave itself is dark. You’ll definitely want to light up the dark using one of several ways Tears of the Kingdom allows you to do so.

1. To begin the Ga-ahisas Shrine puzzle, you need to activate the circular dragon ruin at the coordinates (-3687, 1062, 1797). Doing so will drain the pond on the sky island.

2. To the right of the pond, you’ll see a spotlight pointing toward a cave entrance. With the pond drained, head down there.

3. There are two mirrors straight ahead between two pillars. You can’t see the others yet, but there are more of these light-reflecting mirrors in the cave. You can use brightbloom seeds to light up the area, or use glowing meals to make Link himself a lamp. Alternatively, do it in the dark – but that’s on you.

4. Use the mirror on your platform and point it to the right to illuminate the mirror a few platforms away.

5. Glide over to that platform and reposition the mirror so it’s illuminating the next mirror a few platforms away. You’ll need to make sure it’s still within the previous light, too, as to not break the light chain.

6. From this platform, glide to the structure in the middle of the room and climb it to find a chest with a star fragment inside.

7. Glide over to the next platform following the light from the mirror. Reposition the mirror to point at a 90 degree angle toward the back of the room. It’ll hit a mirror in the back, which will then be pointing downward.

8. Glide over there, then drop down with the light from the mirror. There’s a Construct down there to fight, so handle that first. The Construct is carrying the mirror as a shield.

9. Once you get that mirror, use it to point the light at the golden hexagon on the wall. Walls in the area will drop.

10. Before you leave, climb the wall to get the chest above the now-green hexagon. There’s a Zonaite helm inside.

11. From there, glide down to the ground again and head down the stairs now accessible beyond the dropped walls. You’ll be led straight to the Ga-ahisas Shrine. Enter to grab the chest with another star fragment.

How to reach Lightcast Island from Rito Village

Lightcast Island lies southeast of Rito Village in the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago, accessible via a waterfall ascent or sky platforms.โ€‹
The simplest route uses Zora Armor to swim up the sky waterfall southeast of Rito Village, leading to intermediate islands with rails and minecarts.โ€‹

Primary Route via Waterfall

Head southeast from Rito Village or Oromuwak Shrine to spot the prominent sky waterfall landing in Tabantha Frontier’s lake. Equip full Zora Armor, swim upward against the current to reach the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago’s lower islands, then use a fan-attached minecart on rails to cross to a central hub. Build a flying machine (wing, steering stick, rockets, balloons, fans, and a large battery) to launch toward Lightcast Island, landing amid its rails and spotlight.โ€‹

Alternative Platform Launch

Fast-travel to Oromuwak Shrine, glide to a falling boulder southeast, and use Recall to ride it skyward for height. Collect rockets from a nearby floating platform, attach them upward, ignite to launch higher, then glide north to Lightcast Island aided by low gravity.โ€‹

Post-Tulin Skyview Options

After the Tulin quest and Wind Temple, return via fast travel and bounce across floating ships eastward, using stamina foods or a basic flying machine for the final ascent. From Ganos Shrine’s nearby launcher or Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, glide or rocket directly if already unlocked.โ€‹

How to complete Ga-ahisas Shrine on Lightcast Island

Ga-ahisas Shrine is a Rauru’s Blessing shrine on Lightcast Island, requiring completion of the island’s mirror light puzzle before entry. Inside the shrine, no further puzzles exist.โ€‹

Island Preparation

Examine the terminal at the northwest end of Lightcast Island to drain the central pond, revealing a cave entrance lit by a spotlight. Defeat the Soldier Construct guarding the cave and break the rock barrier with a bomb arrow or rock-fused weapon.โ€‹

Mirror Puzzle Steps

Enter the cave and use Ultrahand to grab the first mirror near the entrance, positioning it to reflect incoming light onto the eastern mirror. Glide to the next platform, adjust the second mirror to direct light to a ceiling mirror above the inner cave, then glide down. Defeat the Steward Construct, pick up its dropped Mirror Shield, and shine light onto the orange hexagon to lower surrounding walls.โ€‹

Chest and Shrine Access

Use Ascend on the ledge above the hexagon for a chest containing Zonaite Helm, then descend the revealed spiral stairs to the shrine entrance. Enter Ga-ahisas Shrine, open the inner chest for a Star Fragment, and pray at the altar for a Light of Blessing.โ€‹
