Where to find the pizza oven

The Pizza Oven in Hello Kitty Island Adventure is located on Mount Hothead, just to the right of the Mount Hothead fast-travel mailbox. To find it, teleport to the mailbox and follow the path eastward; the oven sits outside on a stone platform, so no building entry is needed. You can reach Mount Hothead early in the game by completing the “Power Up The Gate” quest and unlocking swimming to cross the water to its beaches, then climb up to the oven area where you’ll also find Retsuko, who provides Dough needed for pizza-making. The Pizza Oven is available without any quest unlocks, so once you have the ingredients, you can start cooking immediately.

The pizza oven is on Mount Hothead, a bit east of the main fast-travel point. You can trek over to the pizza oven pretty early in the game, just from going all the way around, passing through Spooky Swamp and Gemstone Mountain. It’s easier to access if you’ve unlocked swimming, but you don’t need to do that.

After hitting friendship level 15 with Retsuko, you’ll unlock the crafting plan for a usable pizza oven, so you can build one and place it in any of the visitor cabins.

How to unlock the pizza oven upgrade

To unlock the pizza oven upgrade in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you need to reach Friendship Level 9 with Retsuko. Initially, the pizza oven allows you to cook pizzas using Dough plus one additional ingredient. After upgrading at Friendship Level 9, you can use Dough plus two additional ingredients, enabling more complex pizza recipes. To increase your friendship with Retsuko, give her gifts such as toasted almonds, which are found near Mount Hothead. The pizza oven itself is located on Mount Hothead, just east of the fast-travel mailbox.

You’ll need to hit Friendship Level 9 with Retsuko in order to use an additional ingredient in the pizza oven. Hitting this requirement quickly can be tough as her liked and loved gifts are pretty hard to get early on. We settled with giving her toasted almonds (found on the ground around Mount Hothead) and ingots (crafted from iron, which is also found around Mount Hothead) during the early-game.

You can also expedite this process by using items like Friendship Bouquets and Friendship Blossoms to gift Retsuko more without having to wait until the next day (or time travel).
