Where to find the black cat, Signor Smushki
To find the black cat Signor Smushki in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, start by picking up the missing cat flyer from the bulletin board opposite the Tower of Nicholas V in the Vatican. The flyer initiates the “A Free Spirit” mystery and reveals that Signor Smushki, a black cat with a tuft of white fur on his chest, was last seen near the tower. After obtaining the camera from Ernesto inside the Vatican Post Office, head into the Tower of Nicholas V and climb up using the whip to reach the rooftops. Cross the rooftops near the garden area and look for Signor Smushki sitting calmly near a wall between two windows. Since the cat does not move, you can easily photograph him to complete the quest. Finally, return to the bulletin board to post the photo and earn 100 Adventure Points.
They flyer suggests that Signor Smushki is up on the roof of Nicholas’ tower, but that’s not quite true.

Head into the tower and then into the center room (you passed through here on your way to the Underworld). Look at the balcony above you for place you can whip up to and climb. On the second level, look above you for another whipable climbing spot.

When you climb through the window, you’ll be on some scaffolding. Turn left and climb up onto the nearby roofs. Continue along and you’ll pass a white cat (snap a picture to earn some extra Adventure Points).

From the white cat, turn right and cross the narrow rooftop. At the far side, turn left to cross another narrow roof. You’ll find Signor Smushki against the wall at the other end.
Snap a picture and then return to the bulletin board to complete the “A Free Spirit” mystery.
