How to get the Psychic Boots in Metroid Prime 4
Progress through Fury Green into the desert, then enter the Volt Forge’s Vi-o-La factory on Viewros. Fight past generator towers, claim the Vi-o-La upgrade, and confront the boss Xelios at the Facility Core. Defeating Xelios rewards Samus with the Psychic Boots, which let her stand on manifested psychic platforms and perform a double jump by pressing the jump button mid-air.
The good news is that you can’t miss Prime 4‘s Psychic Boots. Unlike some other Metroid games, you get Samus’ power-ups in a set order. And there’s no risk of taking a wrong turn and passing by the boots, as the first few major areas you visit on Viewros are entirely linear.
The bad news is that those first psychic platforms will remain tantalizingly out of reach for a little while yet. Ignore those platforms for now, and press on through Fury Green. You’ll end up in a desert and, immediately afterward, in Volt Forge’s Vi-o-La factory. Fight your way through the factory’s generator towers, claim your Vi-o-La, and then at the end of your first visit, you’ll encounter the nefarious AI construct Xelios. Defeat it to get the Psychic Boots.

Xelios, the Volt Forge boss, is located at the bottom of Tower 3 in the Facility Core.
Path Overview
Enter Volt Forge via the desert tunnel in Sol Valley after Fury Green. Activate generators in Towers 1 and 2 first: Tower 1 involves platforming with Control Beam and Morph Ball vents to power it up; Tower 2 requires clearing Mecha Rats and elevators to reach its core.
Reaching Tower 3
Complete the Driver’s Certification course on the Vi-O-La motorbike to unlock Tower 3 access. Grab the nearby Master Teleporter Key, then drop into the arena at the Facility Core base for the Xelios fight-defeating it rewards Psychic Boots. Backtrack via the Test Circuits elevator afterward.
