From Blacephalon to Pheromosa, this timed event offers a stellar chance to catch rare shiny Ultra Beasts, earn exclusive Timed Research rewards, and enjoy boosted bonuses like double Stardust and extra Candy XL-plus unlimited remote raids toward the end. Whether you go free or grab the $5 premium ticket, the Ultra Space is about to get very crowded.
During the event, you can carry up to 20 Remote Raid Passes and from July 12-14 you’ll be able to remote raid as much as you want with no limits. If you’re level 31 or higher, you’ll also get XL candy guaranteed from trades during the event.
Below we list out both the paid and free Timed Research for the Pokémon Go “Inbound from Ultra Space” event, as well as the raid schedule.
Pokémon Go ’Inbound from Ultra Space’ event Timed Research and rewards
The Pokémon Go “Inbound from Ultra Space” event features two Timed Research quests: a free version and a premium version available for $5. The free Timed Research tasks involve winning raids to encounter various Ultra Beasts such as Blacephalon, Stakataka, Guzzlord, Nihilego, Kartana, and more, with completion rewards including Ultra Beast encounters and Candy. The premium Timed Research offers the same tasks but rewards players with XL Candy, Stardust, a Star Piece, and other bonuses like Super Incubators and Meltan encounters. The event runs from July 8 to July 13, 2024, with Timed Research tasks expiring by July 12 or July 14 depending on the version. Players with both the premium ticket and the Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global ticket can also earn up to 10 free Raid Passes daily during the fest. Tickets can be gifted to friends with Great Friendship or higher, and purchases are non-refundable and not available via PokeCoins.
The “Inbound from Ultra Space” Timed Research is free, meaning that if you do any raids, you’ll get some pretty good rewards: one of each of the Ultra Beasts. As a reminder, Pokémon caught from research encounters will have a minimum 67% IV floor, so these will be worth adding to your collection. You don’t have to do Ultra Beast raids to get these, meaning you can just solo smaller raids to net these rewards.
Notably, this Timed Research ends on July 12 at 8 p.m. in your local time, ahead of the end of the event.

How can I maximize rewards during the Inbound from Ultra Space event
To maximize rewards during the Pokémon Go “Inbound from Ultra Space” event, follow these key strategies:
-
Purchase the $5 event ticket to unlock premium bonuses including double Stardust from Ultra Beast raids, one extra Candy and Candy XL per five-star raid catch, an additional 5,000 XP per raid, and two extra free Raid Passes from Gyms.
-
Take advantage of the increased Remote Raid Pass limit: from July 8 to 11, you can use up to 20 Remote Raid Passes daily, and from July 12 to 14, there is no limit on Remote Raid Pass usage, enabling you to participate in many more raids remotely.
-
Use Lucky Eggs during the first two days of the event to double the 2x XP bonus, effectively earning 4x XP, especially when combined with the premium ticket’s extra XP bonus. This can yield up to 30,000 XP per five-star raid, ideal during Ultra Beast Raid Hours (6-7 p.m. daily).
-
Utilize Star Pieces alongside the Stardust bonuses from the premium ticket to maximize Stardust gains, especially by raiding Stardust-rich Pokémon like Staryu featured during the event.
-
Complete the free and premium Timed Research tasks to earn encounters with various Ultra Beasts and rewards such as Candy XL, Cosmog Candy, Stardust, and Star Pieces. Premium research grants additional Candy XL and other bonuses.
-
For Trainers level 31 and above, take advantage of guaranteed Candy XL from trading Pokémon during the event period to boost your Ultra Beast candy stockpile.
By combining these tactics-buying the ticket, maximizing remote raids, using Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces, and completing Timed Research-you can optimize your XP, Stardust, Candy, and Ultra Beast collection during the event.
How can I use Remote Raid Passes most effectively during the event
To use Remote Raid Passes most effectively during the Pokémon Go “Inbound from Ultra Space” event, consider these tips:
-
Take advantage of the event’s increased Remote Raid Pass limits: from July 8 to 11, you can use up to 20 Remote Raid Passes daily, and from July 12 to 14, there is no limit on Remote Raid Pass usage. This allows you to join many more raids remotely than usual.
-
Join raids that appear on your Nearby screen or tap gyms with ongoing raids on your map to quickly access and enter remote raids using your passes.
-
Coordinate with friends by sharing raid lobby codes to form groups remotely, maximizing your chances of defeating Ultra Beasts efficiently.
-
Prioritize raids with Ultra Beasts featured in the event to maximize your chances of catching rare Pokémon and earning event-specific rewards.
-
Remember that remote raid battles have slightly reduced attack power compared to in-person raids, so consider bringing stronger counters or coordinating with more players to compensate.
-
Use Remote Raid Passes strategically by entering raid lobbies but leaving before the battle starts if you want to save passes, as passes are only consumed once the battle begins.
-
Keep an eye on event-specific bonuses, such as double Stardust and extra Candy XL per raid catch if you purchase the event ticket, to maximize rewards from each remote raid.
By leveraging the increased remote raid limits, coordinating with friends, and focusing on event raids, you can maximize your Remote Raid Pass effectiveness during the event.
