This means there are around 100 Pokémon previously unavailable in Scarlet and Violet that you can now nab in the wild. Below, we list out the complete Kitakami Pokédex, alongside the type that each Pokémon is.

The Teal Mask Kitakami Pokédex

The Teal Mask Kitakami Pokédex features a total of 200 Pokémon found in the new Kitakami region introduced in the The Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokédex includes seven new Generation 9 Pokémon, a new form of Ursaluna called Blood Moon Ursaluna, and 91 returning Pokémon from previous generations that were not originally in the base game. In addition to these, many Pokémon from the Paldea region also appear in Kitakami. Completing the Kitakami Pokédex rewards players with a Moon Ball and a Glimmering Charm that boosts Tera Shard rewards from Tera Raid Battles. Some version-exclusive Pokémon require trading to fully complete the Pokédex, making it a comprehensive and rewarding challenge for players exploring the DLC.

If you want to see if your favorite Pokémon made the cut and got added, you can ctrl F for their name in the page, though note that they didn’t add very many. More will come in the second half of the DLC, The Indigo Disk.

In addition to returning Pokémon, there are seven brand new Pokémon: Dipplin, Poltchageist, Sinistcha, Okidogi, Monkidori, Fezandipiti, and Ogerpon.

Note that this is the Pokédex – which doesn’t include specific Pokémon, like Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, or any of the Pokémon that you can transfer from Pokémon Home, like Groudon. These Pokémon are useable in the game via transfers or raids, but you cannot find them in the wild (outside of specific events that may happen in the future).

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Kitakami Pokédex

The Kitakami Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC features a total of 200 Pokémon, including seven new Gen 9 species, returning favorites from previous generations not originally in Scarlet and Violet, and many Pokémon already found in the Paldea region. This regional Pokédex is unique as it excludes Paradox and regional form Pokémon and introduces exclusive version-specific Pokémon, requiring some trading to complete. Players exploring Kitakami will encounter a diverse mix of bug, water, dark, and flying types, among others, with detailed locations and evolution methods available to help complete the Pokédex. Completing it rewards players with special items like the Moon Ball and Glimmering Charm, enhancing gameplay through increased Tera Shard gains in Tera Raid Battles.

What secrets does completing the Kitakami Pokédex reveal about the region

Completing the Kitakami Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC reveals several secrets about the region, including its rich biodiversity and connections to Paldea’s lore. The Pokédex features 200 Pokémon, blending new species with familiar ones from the base game, highlighting Kitakami as a unique ecosystem where old-world charm meets new adventures. Upon completion, players receive the Glimmering Charm, which enhances Tera Shard acquisition, hinting at deeper gameplay mechanics tied to the region’s mystical elements and the legendary Pokémon Terapagos. Additionally, the storyline and exploration of Kitakami unveil local traditions, the Festival of Masks, and the significance of the Teal Style Card, enriching the cultural backdrop of this new area beyond Paldea’s borders.

What new regional lore is uncovered by completing the Kitakami Pokédex

Completing the Kitakami Pokédex in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC uncovers rich new regional lore centered around the folktale of “The Loyal Three and the Ogre.” This story, deeply ingrained in Kitakami’s culture, initially portrays three heroic Pokémon protecting the land from a fearsome masked ogre. However, the truth revealed through the Pokédex completion and related quests tells a more complex tale: Ogerpon, a legendary Pokémon, and its human companion were actually outcasts shunned by the people of Kitakami. The masks given to Ogerpon by a sympathetic mask-maker allowed it to participate in the Festival of Masks, a key cultural event. The player’s journey involves restoring the so-called Loyal Three-mischievous Pokémon who cause chaos after the theft of the Teal Mask-and ultimately restoring balance to the region. This narrative not only enriches the player’s understanding of Kitakami’s history and traditions but also ties directly into the new Pokémon and their roles in the region’s folklore.
