The Slums echo with forgotten tunes hidden across dim alleys and rusting rooftops. Here’s where to find every scrap of Sheet Music and help Morusque bring melody back to the metallic streets of Stray.
Note: If you want to complete this quest and earn the Music Badge in a single playthrough, you’ll need to find all eight pieces of Sheet Music by the end of chapter six.
In this Stray guide, we’ll show you the locations for all the Sheet Music pieces in The Slums.
Sheet Music 1
After speaking to the robot near the bucket ride, enter Momo’s apartment building and turn left past the tape player into the storage room with a toilet. Squeeze through the barred door amid the boxes, then jump onto the upper shelf to pick up Sheet Music 1.

The first piece of Sheet Music is in Momo’s flat, which is where the Guardian tells you to go as soon as you start the chapter (facing the Guardian, it’s on the left side of The Slums).
Work your way onto the rooftops and follow B12’s instructions until you’ve made your way inside of Momo’s apartment. Talk to the robot and then look for the storage room/bathroom combo around the corner. (You’ll need to walk through the door’s bars, but you’ll know you’re in the right room because it has a toilet and is filled with boxes). Climb up to the top shelf and you’ll find the Sheet Music 1/8 waiting for you.
Sheet Music 2
From Momo’s apartment near the building with the large face and red paper lantern, walk along the pipe to the nearby rooftop. Hop onto the table positioned there to pick up Sheet Music 2. This spot sits beside a balcony with a prominent blue Outsiders wall symbol, reachable by basic climbing across the Slums roofs. Bring it to Morusque by the elevator stairs for a guitar tune.

The second piece of Sheet Music is on the rooftops. Looking at the Guardian and the giant, out-of-order elevator, climb the buildings to your right. This is the right side of The Slums. Climb over toward the flat with the Outsider’s sign (a semi-complete circle and two dots) but don’t go inside. Keep climbing away from the Guardian until you reach a balcony with concrete corners. The Sheet Music 2/8 you’re looking for is sitting on a wooden table on the balcony.
Sheet Music 3
Head past the Dufer Bar from the Guardian area and follow the alley around the corner to reach Elliot Programming near Grandma’s shop. Scratch the red door covered in posters to gain entry from Nestor. Inside, the sheet music hangs on the wall below a postcard on a large robot portrait.

On the ground floor of The Slums, follow the signs to Elliot’s repair shop. You’re looking for a red door near Grandma’s shop that’s covered in posters and writing. Scratch on the door and a robot will let you in.
Once inside, walk forward and you’ll see a painting of a robot. The Sheet Music 3/8 is pinned to the wall.
Sheet Music 4
Sheet Music 4 can be found by exchanging a single Energy Drink with the Barterman standing near the Guardian, just across from Morusque; grab the drink from the vending machine in front of the musician before making the trade.

The fourth piece of Sheet Music is for sale at Azooz’s shop, which you can get to by taking a right at the Guardian. All you need to get Sheet Music 4/8 is to trade Azooz one Energy Drink Speed 2K can.
There are four total cans in The Slums, and you’ll need all of them to get both the Sheet Music and the B12 memory Azooz is selling. If you just need a quick can for the sheet music, you can grab one from the vending machine near Morusque. For the locations of the other cans in The Slums, check out our helpful guide.
Sheet Music 5
Sheet Music 5 is located upstairs inside Dufer Bar on the main street of The Slums. Enter the bar, then climb the stairs on the left and look at the booth table next to the pool table, where the sheet music rests in plain sight.

The fifth piece of Sheet Music is located in the bar. Face the Guardian and do a 180. The first building on your left will be the Dufer Bar, which has a the red neon sign. Walk in the building and go upstairs. You’ll find Sheet Music 5/8 sitting on one of the booth tables.
Sheet Music 6
In Clementine’s room across from Momo’s balcony in the Slums, slip through the glass screen near the glowing orange lantern. Head right past the bed to the narrow bookshelf at its edge, then jump onto the upper ledge to grab Sheet Music 6. Return it to Morusque for a tune.

While searching for the Notebooks that you need to collect for Momo, go to Clementine’s flat (the only Outsiders flat on the right side of The Slums). Walk through the doors and look right toward the bed instead of going into Clementine’s office, where you’ll find her notebook. Sheet Music 6/8 will be sitting on the shelf.
Sheet Music 7
Sheet Music 7 lies in the book-filled apartment above the Slums, near the glowing blue Outsider sign. To reach it, cross the gap from the balcony behind the couch and TV area, then squeeze through the boarded-up doorway; inside, climb onto the piano in the center of the room and grab the sheet resting on top.

When Momo sends you to hunt for Notebooks, look for the library flat, where you’ll end up collecting Doc’s notebook from the safe. (This is the Outsiders flat that’s furthers from the Guardian, or just to your right after leaving Momo’s window). Look around the room for the cubby that contains a black piano. Jump on the piano and you’ll find Sheet Music 7/8 pinned to it.
Sheet Music 8
Sheet Music 8 is hidden inside the locked safe in the alley to the right of Morusque, near his usual spot in the Slums. Inspect the safe to obtain a mysterious note, then show it to Elliot at his programming shop so he can translate the clue. Head to the Dufer Bar and interact with the picture above the bar counter to reveal the safe code “1283” on the wall. Return to the safe, enter the code, and collect Sheet Music 8 to complete your set for Morusque.

The final collectible, Sheet Music 8/8, is locked in the safe in the alley next to Morusque. If you need help tracking down the code and getting in, check out our helpful safe guide.
With all eight pieces of Sheet Music in hand, return them to Morusque and listen to him jam out. Note that you can only hand in one piece of music at a time, which is followed by a short song. If you’re giving him all eight at once, you may end up waiting around for a few minutes.
How to get the Music Badge after collecting sheet music
After you’ve collected all 8 Sheet Music pages in the Slums, you earn the Music Badge by delivering them one by one to Morusque, the guitar-playing robot, and letting him finish all his songs.
Step-by-step to get the badge
-
Find Morusque
-
From the Guardian in the Slums, go down the stairs to the left into the small alley with paper lanterns; Morusque is sitting on the ground with a guitar.
-
-
Hand over every sheet
-
Talk to Morusque and select a sheet music item from your inventory.
-
He will play a short tune and give the sheet back or mark it as played; repeat this for all 8 different sheets.
-
-
Let him finish all songs
-
You need to give him all 8 unique sheets at least once.
-
After the last missing piece is turned in and he has played through them, he rewards you with the Music Badge and you also unlock the Meowlody trophy/achievement.
-
-
If the badge doesn’t pop
-
Double-check your inventory to ensure no sheet is left.
-
Some players report that having him play through everything again in one visit can fix perceived “missing sheet” issues; if it still fails, reloading the Slums chapter before leaving in the story is the safest fallback.
-
What to do if Music Badge doesn’t appear after giving all sheets to Morusque
If the Music Badge doesn’t show up after giving Morusque all eight sheets, you’re likely running into a known quirk or minor bug; there are a few things you can try before giving up on the run.
Quick checks
-
Confirm you really gave all 8 unique sheets
-
Make sure you bought the Barterman sheet (costs 1 Energy Drink) and opened the safe near Morusque for the 8/8 sheet.
-
Revisit the known sheet locations once more to be absolutely sure none are still on the ground or on a table.
-
-
Have Morusque replay everything
-
Sit with him and cycle through all your remaining sheet music so he plays every song at least once in the same visit.
-
Some players report that doing this “refreshes” whatever the game is tracking and triggers credit for all sheets, even if one looks missing on the wall behind him.
-
If the badge still doesn’t appear
-
Try leaving and re-entering the Slums
-
Use chapter select or progress to the next area, then reload the Slums chapter and check whether the badge is now on your vest or the Meowlody/Badges trophies popped anyway.
-
In some cases the physical Music Badge icon can bug out while the trophy for all badges can still unlock later, so check your trophy list even if the badge model isn’t visible.
-
-
Clean “badge run” in a fresh Slums visit
-
Start the Slums again via chapter select, collect all 8 sheets in one or two passes, then deliver them to Morusque without reloading or getting stuck in geometry, which some players suspect can cause tracking issues.
-
If you tell me which platform you’re on and whether trophies/achievements have popped or not, I can suggest a more specific next step (like relying on chapter select vs. continuing your current save).
