Tajikats Shrine Building with Logs Walkthrough in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Hidden beneath a quiet patch of the Hyrule Field Chasm, the Tajikats Shrine tests your creativity with nothing but logs and a splash of ingenuity. This guide walks you through each puzzle, showing how to piece together structures that bridge gaps, lift platforms, and carry you straight to the shrine’s treasure and exit.

When you’re done, our shrine locations page or interactive Hyrule map can direct you toward something else to do.

Tajikats Shrine location

Tajikats Shrine sits in Central Hyrule, just south of Lookout Landing and near the Great Plateau’s northern edge. You can find it along the main path leading from the central plains toward the Hyrule Field Chasm. Its exact coordinates are roughly (-0348, 0142, 0028), making it easy to spot on the way to nearby stables. The area is open and flat, with a few trees and broken structures that make reaching the shrine straightforward.

You’ll find the Tajikats Shrine and its “Building with Logs” trial at the coordinates of (0344, -1007, 0016). It’s in the Hyrule Fields region of the map, quite close to the eastern border.

Tajikats Shrine ‘Building with Logs’ walkthrough

Enter Tajikats Shrine on Great Sky Island to solve the Building with Logs puzzle. Grab logs from the starting area and use Ultrahand to stack them into a tall vertical tower reaching the higher platform. Climb the structure, then cross to the exit door. If it topples, adjust angles for stability and try again. Collect your Light of Blessing upon success.

The Tajikats Shrine is designed to test your ability to build with logs. You’ll have to use the Ultrahand ability to put things together that’ll help you cross a number of different gaps, some of which are water. Here’s how you’ll do it.

1. You’ll notice a log on the left side of the room as you move into the main space. Rotate it using Ultrahand and place it vertically alongside the next platform.

2. Climb the log, then pull that same log up onto the platform with you.

3. Next, you’ll see two more logs to the left when you’ve reached the second level. Use Ultrahand to combine the three logs together into a caret shape – like a triangle with no bottom, so it fits onto the top of the pitched platforms.

4. Move the caret-shaped logs so they can be used as a bridge without falling. Here’s how we did it:

5. Go over the bridge, then assemble together the logs vertically to create a long bridge to cross the water, then cross that gap.

6. On the right side of the room you’ll find four logs. Combine those vertically, once again, to cross over the water. (We were able to get away with using three logs to create a useable bridge.)

7. You’ll find a bunch of logs and some Zonai-built fans on the right side of the room. Right in front of you, there’s a huge chasm of water to cross. You’ll need a boat.

How to make a boat in the Tajikats Shrine

Grab four logs from the stacks near the entrance. Stack them vertically using Ultrahand to form the base of a tall raft. Attach a fan from the nearby platform to the top log’s side, facing outward. Place the raft in the water channel and activate the fan with a nearby flame source to propel it forward across the gap.

  1. Ultrahand together three logs horizontally to create a platform to stand on.
  2. Attach a fan to the back of the logs.
  3. Pick up the boat with Ultrahand and plop it into the water. Hop in, hit the fan to start it, and get sailing.

How to get the Tajikats Shrine chest

After building the raft with four logs and attaching the two fans, set it in the water and board it with the fans facing the back. Angle the raft toward the small platform on the left side of the room, opposite the exit, then strike a fan to sail along the wall to that platform. Hop off once you reach it and open the chest to claim the Spiky Shield before returning to the central island to finish the shrine.

  1. Angle the boat toward the left side wall of the room.
  2. You should be able to sail right to the platform and open a chest that will award you a spiky shield.
  3. Grab your boat again and angle it toward the platform on the back wall.
  4. Hop on, start the fan’s motor, and sail to the back wall platform.
  5. Interact with the glowing green sigil to complete the shrine. You’ll get Light of Blessing for your troubles.

How to get the Spiky Shield chest in Tajikats Shrine

In the final room of Tajikats Shrine, the Spiky Shield is in the bonus chest on the small side platform to the left of the main exit.

Step-by-step: reaching the chest

  • First, use Ultrahand to attach several logs side-by-side into a raft, then attach one or two Zonai Fans at the back so they blow you forward.

  • Stand on the starting shore of the last room, face the exit, then rotate your raft so it’s aimed toward the left wall and the small platform with the chest.

  • Place the raft in the water, get on, and hit the fan(s) with a weapon to start moving; ride along the left wall toward the chest platform.

  • When you reach the little “dock” or ledge by the chest, hop off and open it to obtain the Spiky Shield (2 defense).

  • You can then either turn the raft around with Ultrahand or swim back across the pool to reach the main altar and finish the shrine.

How to complete the log bridge puzzles before the raft area in Tajikats Shrine

Before the raft room in Tajikats Shrine, you solve three “log bridge” sections in a row, all with Ultrahand and simple log combinations.

First log ramp

  • Pick up the single log in the first area with Ultrahand.

  • Rotate it into a slanted ramp from the floor up to the higher ledge and climb up.

Second bridge on sloped sides

  • In the next area, take the two logs and attach them side-by-side into a wider plank.

  • Lay this double-log plank across the gap so that each end rests on the sloped platforms, then walk over it to the next section.

Third long bridge over water

  • In the third area, attach the two available logs end-to-end into one long log.

  • Place this long log across the water gap as a narrow bridge and walk across; if you brought the double-log plank from the previous area, you can attach both sets for a wider, safer bridge.
