Stilled Heart Lake Rift walkthrough

The Stilled Heart Lake Rift in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a key area in the Faron Wetlands where players must help restore a rift consuming half of a heart-shaped lake. Inside the rift, you will find five clusters of Tri’s friends trapped in various locations such as behind webs, on rock walls, in pits, and underwater behind cracked blocks. To free them, players use abilities like creating Ignizol Echoes to burn webs, using Platboom to reach high places, and employing Bombfish to break obstacles. Once all friends are rescued, they gather at the entrance to restore the rift, rewarding players with might crystals and advancing the story as the Deku Scrubs return to their peaceful lives.

When you first arrive in the southeastern Faron Wetlands, you’ll find everyone obsessed with a new kind of cotton candy and pretty disinterested in literally anything else. You’ll also get called “bumpkin” a lot.

At the Sweet Spot in the north – where you’re clearly supposed to go – you’ll be told you need a Membership Card. Time to ask around to see where we can get one.

Make your way down to the southwest corner of the Faron Wetlands. Stilled Heart Lake is, as you may have guessed, the lake that’s shaped like a heart there. When you arrive, though, there’s a thematically appropriate rift cutting the heart in half and a lovelorn scrub in the lake.

Jump into the rift and you’ll learn that you have to find five groups of Tri’s friends to heal the rift.

Tri’s friend #1 location

Head north and you’ll run into a deku baba Lv. 2 on a grass-covered wall. That’s a clue. Drop something that can start fires like a brazier or an ignizol near the grass (don’t worry about targeting the deku babe).

Once the fire takes hold, it’ll burn all the grass as well as the armored baba. Pick up its echo if you don’t have it yet.

The fire will also burn a spider web that’s covering a small cave on the right. Climb up and you’ll free the first Tri’s friend location.

Tri’s friend #2 location

Continue up the wall – a pillar of water works well here – and cross the gap heading left. In the pool of water there, dive down through the small hole.

Swim all the way left and start down. There’s a bombable block on the right side of the column, but there’s a current pushing down. We used a bombfish and Bind to hold it in place.

With the block out of the way, swim up to the top of the current and let it push you down as you swim right to free the next Tri’s friend.

Tri’s friend #3 location

Swim to the right across the bottom of the screen. Up the column and past the bio deku baba, you’ll find the next friend and another bombable wall.

Head up and out of this area.

Tri’s friend #4 location

Back outside, head across to the right. Jump across the stump to land in a grassy area with a deku baba Lv. 2, a baby gohma, and a spiderweb-covered pit. Drop an ignizol or three and try not to catch on fire while you wait. Once everything is cleared out, rescue the friend.

Tri’s friend #5 location

The fifth of Tri’s friends are directly below you, but they take some work to rescue. Head to the bottom left corner of the platform you’re on. There’s just enough room there to summon an ignizol to your right. Do that and immediately Bind it.

Climb down the cliff face below you and position the Ignizol so it catches the spiderweb on fire. Drop into the cave it reveals and you’ll rescue the last one.

Because this is a video game, the scrubs you just rescued and reunited don’t actually have a Membership Card. Instead, they’ll point you to another rift in the southeast of the Faron Wetlands, and a scrub named Blossu.

Will I discover hidden secrets while navigating the Stilled Heart Lake Rift

Yes, while navigating the Stilled Heart Lake Rift in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you will discover several hidden secrets. The rift contains five locations where Tri’s friends are trapped, often behind spider webs, cracked blocks, or underwater obstacles that require specific Echo powers to access and free them. Along the way, you can also find optional treasure chests and might crystals, as well as secret alcoves and underwater caves guarded by enemies like Baby Gohma and Bio Deku Baba. The area encourages exploration with puzzles involving fire and bomb echoes to clear webs and rocks, revealing hidden energy masses and secret passages.

What hidden secrets might I uncover behind Webs and cracked blocks in the Rift

Behind webs and cracked blocks in the Stilled Heart Lake Rift, you can uncover several hidden secrets including trapped friends of Tri, treasure chests, and secret passages. Webs often block access to these hidden areas and can be cleared using fire-based Echo powers, while cracked blocks conceal secret rooms or valuable chests that require the Bombfish Echo or bombs from the Swordfighter form to break. These hidden spots may also contain might crystals, energy masses, or other collectibles essential for progression and completion.
