Below, we list out all the biggest new features and changes that are part of Honkai: Star Rail’s 3.0 update.
Yes, a whole new area to explore: Amphoreus
Version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail introduces Amphoreus, a captivating new world that marks the beginning of the largest story arc in the game to date. Known as The Eternal Land, Amphoreus is a mysterious and isolated realm shaped by the legends of twelve Titans and heavily inspired by Ancient Greek mythology. Players will embark on an epic journey with the Astral Express to explore this chaotic vortex, uncover its secrets, and meet new characters like Aglaea and Ms. Herta. The update also brings fresh gameplay elements such as the Path of Remembrance, new maps, puzzles, and quality-of-life improvements, making Amphoreus a rich and immersive area for Trailblazers to discover.
The biggest chunk of this patch is the addition of an entire new area to explore, with a hefty story alongside it. Amphoreus is the next stop on the Astral Express’ path, and with it comes new maps, new characters, and new puzzles to complete. There’s a plethora of the usual content that comes with a new area, including new treasure chests, new side quests, and new collectables called nymphs to find.
The path of Remembrance is real
The Path of Remembrance is a new and real gameplay feature introduced in Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0, offering players a fresh way to experience combat and character development. This path is unique in that it allows the Trailblazer and other Remembrance characters to summon Memosprites-special companions that inherit their summoner’s Speed stats and buffs, adding a strategic layer to battles. The Remembrance path also introduces new elemental abilities, such as Ice and Lightning, and enhances the Trailblazer with support skills that boost ally actions and nullify enemy crowd control effects. Unlocking this path is integrated into the story through the mission “Night Veil, Shroud the Silent Past,” making it a natural and immersive part of the game’s progression. Overall, the Path of Remembrance enriches the gameplay by expanding character options and deepening the narrative experience in the new region of Amphoreus.
Yep, Remembrance is no longer just a path in Simulated Universe, but there are now Remembrance characters in the game. The Trailblazer will get a Remembrance form as you complete the story, and Aglaea will make her debut as a Lightning Remembrance character available through the gacha (with more characters to come later).
All of that said, there are new light cones for Remembrance characters, as well as new Calyxes to hand out Remembrance materials.
The Trailblaze Power cap has increased to 300
The Trailblaze Power cap in Honkai: Star Rail has been increased from 240 to 300 with the release of version 3.0. This change allows players to hold more Trailblaze Power at once, providing greater flexibility for those who cannot log in consistently every day. While the regeneration rate of Trailblaze Power remains unchanged, the higher cap means players can undertake more activities, such as additional Calyx or Stagnant Shadow challenges, before needing to rely on their Reserved Trailblaze Power. This update enhances the farming experience by reducing the need to tap into reserved resources and supports a smoother gameplay flow for daily and less frequent players alike.
Now you can slack just a little bit more when it comes to spending your Trailblaze Power before it overcaps. Those looking to be the most efficient when it comes to using their stamina will be happy to know that it now takes a full 30 hours to hit your Trailblaze Power cap from zero.
You can now customize relics with Wishful Resin
The version 3.0 update of Honkai: Star Rail introduces Wishful Resin, a new item that revolutionizes relic customization. With Wishful Resin, players can now directly select up to two specific substats on relic pieces during synthesis, giving them greater control over their gear optimization. This customization requires using Wishful Resin alongside Self-Modeling Resin in the Relic Crafting system, allowing for guaranteed primary and secondary stats without relying on random rerolls. The substats available for customization include key attributes like ATK%, HP%, DEF%, Speed, CRIT Rate%, and CRIT DMG%, among others, enabling more precise character builds to tackle endgame content effectively.
A new form of resin has joined the fray. Wishful Resin allows you to specify what substats you want on your relics, so you can customize them further without having to pray to the RNG gods. You can customize up to two stat lines, though you can only customize relics that you can use Self-Modeling Resin on.

You can get Wishful Resin via the synthesizer, exchanging one Self-Modeling Resin or 800 Relic Remains for one. Wishful Resin is also included as a reward from the Nameless Honor battle pass and an option in some paid bundles in the shop.
You can also reroll your relics using Variable Dice
In Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0, players can now reroll the sub-stat enhancements on their fully enhanced (Level 15) 5-Star Relics using a new consumable item called Variable Dice. This feature allows you to redistribute how the sub-stat upgrades were allocated among the existing sub-stats, helping to optimize your Relics without changing the sub-stat types themselves. To use Variable Dice, select a Level 15 Relic in your inventory or on a character, click the “Reroll” button, and confirm the use of one Variable Dice. After rerolling, you can choose to keep the new distribution or revert to the original, though the Variable Dice will be consumed regardless. Variable Dice can be crafted by consuming 3 Self-Modeling Resin or obtained through the Nameless Honor battle pass, making it a valuable but limited resource for refining your gear.
If you’re like me, you have rolled hundreds of relics, looking for those break effect or crit rate/damage lines, but all the points go into HP or defence. If you still have those relics, you can now use the Variable Dice item to reroll those relics. Of course, there’s a chance that it’ll go back into HP and defense again, but hey, a free retry is a free retry.
You can make Variable Dice by sacrificing three Self-Modeling Resin and earn one via the paid track of the Nameless Honor battle pass.
There’s now a treasure gadget to help you seek out pesky chests
Version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail introduces a helpful new treasure gadget called the Treasure Compass, designed to make finding hidden chests across the game’s worlds much easier. This gadget can be used an unlimited number of times to mark the location of unclaimed treasures, with different versions available through in-game shops or as progression rewards in each region, including the new Amphoreus area. The Treasure Compass follows a similar concept to gadgets in HoYoverse’s other RPGs, providing players with a more streamlined and enjoyable exploration experience by guiding them directly to elusive chests scattered throughout the game.
If you’re missing treasure chests from maps and you don’t want to figure out which one you’re missing, you can now use a gadget to point out which chests you still need to find. There is a catch, as you’ll need to unlock each area’s respective gadget by earning the on-planet currency (Clock Credits, Strale, etc), so it’s not like you’ll be able to buy and use it right away.
Get help building your characters by letting the game do it for you
Version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail introduces helpful tools within the new Remembrance path that assist players in building and enhancing their characters more efficiently. These features allow the game to guide and optimize character development, making it easier for players to fine-tune relic gains and abilities without extensive manual effort. This quality-of-life improvement lets you focus on enjoying the new content while the game supports your character progression automatically.
If you’ve collected tons of relics and get lost in the sauce when it comes to equipping them, you can use the “smart equip” feature to set the best relics for your character for you. You’ll be able to base the chosen relics off of what the game devs pick or what players are running. You can also specifically set which relic sets you want to equip to the character of choice, too.

There are some things to keep in mind, though. If you’re into specific speed tuning or other specified stat building, you’ll need to keep your eye on these stats yourself.
Track your character growth using an in-game scaling feature
The new in-game scaling feature in Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0 introduces a Leveling Guide accessible from the character screen, which helps players track their character growth efficiently. This system functions similarly to Genshin Impact’s leveling guide by highlighting the materials needed to enhance specific aspects of characters, making it easier to plan and optimize character development. It provides a clear overview of the resources required for leveling up, allowing players to manage their progression with greater precision and convenience.
On your character screen, there’s a new button in the top right that says “leveling guide.” This works just like Genshin Impact’s leveling guide as it’ll point out parts of your characters that might need more materials. The system isn’t perfect, but it should help you keep tabs on what you should be spending your Trailblaze Power on.
Farming stages will always be available
Farming stages in Honkai: Star Rail will always remain accessible, ensuring players can continuously gather resources and materials needed for character progression and relic crafting. Despite the introduction of new regions and story arcs in version 3.0, such as Amphoreus, the game maintains its core farming runs, including repetitive stages like Calyx, which are ideal for efficient farming. This consistency allows players to optimize their gameplay and resource management without worrying about losing access to essential farming content as new updates roll out.
What hidden secrets does the new Amphoreus region hold in Honkai Star Rail 3.0
The new Amphoreus region in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 is a hidden, mysterious world known as “The Eternal Land,” invisible to the naked eye and accessible only through special mirrors that pierce its chaotic veil. Steeped in rich lore, Amphoreus is a shattered realm shaped by a cataclysmic event called the “Black Tide,” which left only a few surviving city-states like Okhema, the Eternal Holy City. The region features a dynamic time-shifting mechanic cycling between Dawn, Evernight, and Outworld states, altering enemy placements and treasure locations, adding layers of complexity to exploration and puzzle-solving.
Amphoreus is divided into several distinct areas including Okhema, Janusopolis (the City of Duality), and Castrum Kremnos (the Bloodbathed Battlefront), each with unique atmospheres, hidden quests, and challenges. The lore hints at powerful forces called “Paths” – Erudition and Remembrance – influencing the world’s fate. Intriguingly, Amphoreus may also hold secrets tied to March 7th, a key character with mysterious origins linked to this enigmatic realm. Overall, Amphoreus offers a richly woven tapestry of Greco-Roman-inspired mythology, shifting realities, and deep narrative secrets waiting to be uncovered by players.
How do the mirrors reveal Amphoreus’s hidden secrets and lore
The mirrors in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 serve as the key to revealing Amphoreus’s hidden secrets and lore by piercing the chaotic veil that shrouds this fragmented, invisible world. Symbolically, these mirrors represent the shattered nature of Amphoreus, a realm devastated by the cataclysmic “Black Tide,” and they act as fragments reflecting the remnants of its lost civilization. Access to Amphoreus was first discovered when the Garden of Recollection reflected three powerful Paths-Erudition, Remembrance, and a mysterious third-within these mirrors, indicating that only entities of a high echelon, such as Emanators or Aeons, can navigate or influence this realm through them.
Practically, the mirrors allow players to glimpse and enter Amphoreus, a world otherwise inaccessible to ordinary mortals or Trailblazers, by revealing its hidden landscapes, lore, and the influence of the Titans who shaped it. This mechanism ties deeply into the game’s narrative and thematic elements, emphasizing Amphoreus’s fragmented reality and its ties to ancient Greco-Roman mythology. Thus, the mirrors are both a narrative device and a gameplay tool that unlock the mysteries of Amphoreus, enabling exploration of its history, the interplay of the Paths, and the survival of city-states like Okhema within this eternal, hidden land.
