What are sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1?
Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are small, adorable creatures that represent the return of magic to the island. They roam the map and provide unique gameplay effects when picked up and used. There are three types of Sprites: Air Sprites, which create an updraft to launch players into the air; Water Sprites, which generate a healing fountain restoring health and shields; and Earth Sprites, which consume items and reward players in return. Players can carry Sprites with them for their perks or return them to Sprite Shrines scattered across the island to receive loot and special boons that enhance gameplay.

Where to find sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, sprites can be found wandering mostly in wild, less populated areas of the island, away from major points of interest. They appear in three types: Air Sprites (white), Earth Sprites (brown), and Water Sprites (blue), each granting different abilities when used. Players can locate sprites by visiting Sprite Shrines scattered across the map-these shrines emit a light beacon and reveal nearby sprites when interacted with. Notable locations for sprites and shrines include areas like Demon’s Dojo, Magic Mosses, Nightshift Forest, and Hopeful Heights. Returning sprites to their shrines rewards players with loot and boons, which provide gameplay advantages.
Sprites just kind of wander around on their own and don’t really follow any set pattern for where they spawn. That said, the easiest way to find sprites is around sprite shrines – which we’ve got locations for below. When you visit a sprite shrine, you can interact with it to reveal the location of any nearby sprites.
Sprite shrine locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Sprite shrines in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are large, glowing stone structures scattered across the island, easily identifiable by their bright beams of light. Interacting with these shrines reveals the locations of nearby sprites, which players can collect to gain boons-special perks that provide gameplay advantages. There are around 13 to 17 sprite shrines spread throughout various points of interest, including areas like Magic Mosses, Demon’s Dojo, and Shogun’s Solitude. Players can also return sprites to these shrines to receive loot and permanent buffs, making them key locations to visit during matches.

We’ve found 17 sprite shrines (so far), so you’ll never be far from one. The only places we haven’t found them are around Nightshift Forest and Hopeful Heights.
If you are carrying a sprite when you visit a sprite shrine, you’ll have the option to return the sprite to the sprite shrine. After the shrine powers up (which takes a few seconds), it’ll drop a bunch of loot along with a boon – a pickup that grants you a perk.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 boons list
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 introduces four elemental Boons that provide unique passive buffs to players. These Boons include the Fire Boon, which increases weapon reload speed; the Water Boon, which heals players while swimming; the Wind Boon, which boosts movement speed when the pickaxe is equipped; and the Void Boon, which reveals nearby enemies when you knock down or eliminate a player. Boons can be obtained by returning Sprites to Sprite Shrines, defeating NPCs, or opening Elemental Chests. Once picked up, Boons activate immediately and do not take up inventory space, offering strategic advantages throughout the match.

Which sprite shrines are hardest to spot on the Fortnite map
The hardest Sprite Shrines to spot on the Fortnite map are typically those located near dense forest points of interest and mountainous regions, where natural terrain and foliage can obscure them despite their light beacons. Some of the most elusive include shrines near Magic Mosses, Northwest forested areas, and the Northeast Mountain Shrine, as these are tucked away in less-traveled, heavily wooded or elevated locations. Additionally, Earth Sprites and their shrines are particularly rare and difficult to find, often blending into the environment like trees, with only two spawning per match, making their shrines among the most challenging to spot and access.
