After completing the gripping Echoes storyline in Destiny 2, a new challenge awaits: the “Anomalous Voices” quest. This epilogue offers a fresh perspective on the enigmatic villain Maya Sundaresh and tasks Guardians with uncovering nine hidden temporal anomalies-one lurking deep within Europa’s Bray Exoscience lab and eight scattered throughout the intense “Encore” Exotic mission. Ready your gear and sharpen your senses as we guide you through every secret location to complete this mysterious hunt and claim the coveted “Before Aurora” emblem.
In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll walk you through where to find all anomalies, including the Bray Exoscience anomaly and all eight anomalies in “Encore,” so you can complete the epilogue and earn yourself the “Before Aurora” emblem.
Bray Exoscience anomaly location
The Bray Exoscience anomaly in Destiny 2’s “Anomalous Voices” quest is located on Europa, specifically in the Bray Exoscience facility near Cadmus Ridge. After landing in Charon’s Crossing, head to the Bray Exoscience building following the mission waypoint. Inside, descend into a large room with a prominent red central platform and eliminate the Fallen enemies. Instead of progressing deeper, look to the right side behind a glass pane where a floating purple orb marked with a large blue figure awaits. Interact with this orb to access the first temporal anomaly and trigger the “Access Vex Simulation,” which continues the epilogue quest before moving on to the Encore mission for the remaining anomalies.

Once you finish the main story for Episode: Echoes and Failsafe gives you “Epilogue: Anomalous Voices,” your first and only step outside of “Encore” is on Europa.
Land in Charon’s Crossing and head over to Cadmus Ridge, where you should then enter the Bray Exoscience building – if you’re tracking the mission, the waypoint will take you to the general area. Head down until you enter the large room with the red central platform. Kill the Fallen inside but don’t head further into the complex. Instead, look right and you’ll find a purple blob floating on the other side of the glass that has the big blue guy printed on it.
Head inside, behind the glass, to find the first temporal anomaly. Interact with it to “Access Vex Simulation,” and progress the epilogue quest, which will ask you to head into “Encore” to find eight more.
Where to find all ’Encore’ anomalies
To find all the ’Encore’ anomalies in Destiny 2’s “Anomalous Voices” quest, you need to locate eight hidden temporal anomalies scattered throughout the Encore Exotic mission. The first anomaly is near the waterfall at the mission start, followed by others in key locations such as the first Green Module puzzle room, the area where Cabal and Vex fight, and near the blue and green module puzzle. Additional anomalies are found after boss fights, near planetary pistons, and in the labyrinth accessed through the Vex Conflux portal. Activating the simulation in the cube room is crucial to unlocking the final anomaly, which is hidden behind a wall in the Nexus maze inside Maya’s lab. Collecting all these anomalies completes the quest and rewards you with the “Before Aurora” emblem.
In “Encore” – on the normal difficulty, at least – you’ll be able to find eight hidden temporal anomalies, which are spread out throughout the mission. When you find all eight, you’ll complete the quest and earn the special “Before Aurora” emblem.
Note: Make sure you activate the travel Nexus like you need to for the secret chests during your run, as you’ll need to get into one of those puzzles to get the final anomaly.
’Encore’ anomaly #1 location

From the start of the mission, ignore the main path and walk up to the front-left part of the plateau, to the left of the Vex waterfall. You’ll see some cliff “stairs” if you peer over the edge, leading down. The first anomaly is on these stairs, where the reticle is in the image above.
If you’re having trouble finding it, go all the way down to the cave here, as it’s easier to spot the anomaly on your way back up.
’Encore’ anomaly #2 location

The second anomaly doesn’t appear until you’re a good ways into the mission, during the first CONNECTION node and module puzzle.
After flipping the first switch, unplugging the CONNECTION module, and taking it over to the second node (which removes the barrier in the wall), look around the corner to the right and you’ll find the glowing anomaly.
’Encore’ anomaly #3 location

The third anomaly comes after the first puzzle area, once you reach the white tower room where you have to defeat the Vex – just before the first piston. Before using the PARTITION to open the wall, head around the left side of the arena and you’ll find the anomaly sitting against the wall.
’Encore’ anomaly #4 location

In the tower puzzle, after you’ve collected two of the ACCESS nodes and gone through the main portal to build the CONNECTION bridge, turn immediately left and you’ll find the anomaly sitting in the corner near the wall.
’Encore’ anomaly #5 location

After you defeat the dual bosses, head through the portal and continue the mission. When you reach the first combat area, where you have to take out a Hydra and a Cyclops, turn around before you cross the gap.

You’ll find a ball sitting in some radiolarian fluid and then another ball covered in moss. Between the two balls is an anomaly tucked behind a tree.
’Encore’ anomaly #6 location

Just after the second planetary piston in the mission, in the area with the large dome building in the center, you’ll find an anomaly sitting out in the open on the left side of the map.
’Encore’ anomaly #7 location

In the final encounter area before you enter Maya’s lab and face the final boss, you’ll see another group of buildings and a big Cabal. Take out the Cabal and then turn around. On the cliff, you’ll see an anomaly floating above the moss.
’Encore’ anomaly #8 location
