In Star Wars Outlaws, the fate of crucial intel can tip the balance of power between rival factions, but the choice of whom to trust is yours-and it shapes your reputation, rewards, and access across the galaxy. Will you side with the ruthless Crimson Dawn or the formidable Pyke Syndicate? Discover how this pivotal decision unlocks new opportunities, gear, and alliances that will define your outlaw journey on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Our Star Wars Outlaws guide to who to give the intel to will tell you how to decide between the gangs and what it does to your reputation with each.
Should you give the intel to Crimson Dawn or Pyke Syndicate?
When deciding whether to give the intel to Crimson Dawn or the Pyke Syndicate in Star Wars Outlaws, the choice mainly affects your reputation with these factions rather than the main story. Sharing the intel with Eleera boosts your standing with Crimson Dawn, granting stealth-related rewards like the Crimson Reign blaster coating and attire. On the other hand, giving the intel to Gorak improves your reputation with the Pyke Syndicate, which controls a larger district on Toshara, offering more quest opportunities, vendors, and access to areas like the Pyke Syndicate District without hostility. This also unlocks rewards such as the Imperial Coating for your blaster and the Imperial Disguise outfit. Since reputation can be adjusted later through missions and activities, many players find favoring the Pykes beneficial for easier exploration and more immediate benefits, though both choices are valid and can be pursued over time.

When you give the information to Gorak, your reputation with the Pykes will tick up to good. Now, you’ll be able to freely explore the Pyke Syndicate District that you had to sneak through in the previous step(s) of this mission. You’ll get access to new vendors, a treasure location cardroom, and get to poke around a whole section of Mirogana without getting shot or kicked out.
Even for the next main quest, “New Tricks,” you’ll have to steal a blaster part from either the Pykes or Crimson Dawn. With a good reputation, you can walk straight into their territory to steal it from them – and your reputation won’t drop so long as you don’t get caught doing the actual stealing.
Your reputation is dynamic
Your reputation in Star Wars Outlaws is not fixed; it evolves dynamically based on your actions and choices throughout the game. As you complete contracts, share valuable intel, or make mission decisions supporting specific syndicates, your standing with factions like the Pykes, Crimson Dawn, the Hutt Cartel, and the Ashiga Clan will rise or fall accordingly. This fluid reputation system means that improving your relationship with one faction can often harm your standing with their rivals, requiring careful navigation of alliances and betrayals. Additionally, your reputation impacts gameplay significantly, influencing merchant prices, access to settlements, available contracts, and even whether factions might target you with assassins. Thus, your reputation is a living aspect of your journey, reflecting the consequences of your choices in the galaxy’s underworld.
Over the course of the game, your reputation with the various gangs is going to fluctuate. As you improve your reputation with Crimson Dawn, your rep with the Pykes might drop. You might even upset a gang enough that your reputation drops a category (from good back to poor, for example). And that’s fine because you can always fix the relationship later.
Things like doing jobs for a gang or even just playing Sabacc in their district improves your relationship with a gang. You’ll eventually also start finding intel that you can sell to gang-affiliated merchants that will boost your rep. Like we mentioned in the beginner’s guide, it’s perfectly fine to treat your reputation as temporary just so you can walk through the front door of their hideout.
Who is the best contact to share intel with in Star Wars Outlaws
The best contact to share intel with in Star Wars Outlaws depends on which faction you want to strengthen, as the choice mainly affects your reputation and access rather than the main story. Sharing the intel with Gorak of the Pyke Syndicate improves your standing with the Pykes, granting you access to the Pyke Syndicate District without hostility, new vendors, treasure locations, and rewards like the Imperial Coating for your blaster and the Imperial Disguise outfit. Conversely, giving the intel to Eleera of Crimson Dawn boosts your reputation with Crimson Dawn, unlocking the Crimson Reign blaster coating and stealth-focused Crimson Reign attire. Both choices yield benefits, but since much of Toshara is controlled by the Pykes, many players find it advantageous to share the intel with Gorak to gain freer exploration and valuable gear early on.
Should I share intel with Crimson Dawn or Pyke Syndicate for best benefits
For the best overall benefits in Star Wars Outlaws, it is generally recommended to share the intel with the Pyke Syndicate rather than Crimson Dawn. Siding with the Pykes improves your reputation with a faction that controls more territories across multiple planets and stages of the game, granting you freer access to their districts and valuable rewards like the Imperial Disguise gear set, which aids stealth in Imperial territories-a frequent challenge throughout the game.
While sharing intel with Crimson Dawn also raises your standing and grants stealth-oriented rewards like the Crimson Reign attire and blaster coating, it tends to significantly decrease your reputation with the Pykes, limiting access to their extensive territories and benefits. The Pyke Syndicate’s reputation rewards, especially the ability to move undetected in Imperial bases, provide a strategic advantage that many players find more useful for progressing smoothly.
Ultimately, if you prioritize early and sustained access to key areas and stealth gear, choosing the Pyke Syndicate is the optimal choice. However, you can still build relationships with Crimson Dawn later, as reputations remain fluid throughout the game.
