In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll show you how to find each of the hidden Oracles inside “The Whisper” mission.
If you’re after an additional perks when crafting Whisper of the Worm, then you also need to find Taken Blights in “Whispers of the Taken”.
Oracle 1 location in ’The Whisper’
In the ’The Whisper’ mission in Destiny 2, the first Oracle is found shortly after dropping down into the Io cave. Instead of jumping down the large wall of red light that leads further into the mission, players should take a left and jump over a small wall. Continuing along the platform and taking another left at the end reveals the first Oracle near some dead Vex bodies. Destroying this Oracle progresses the Oracular Seeker Triumph and is essential for upgrading the Whisper of the Worm Exotic weapon.

To find the first Oracle, progress “The Whisper” mission until you drop down the hole in the Io cave and walk past the dead Vex bodies. Once you get to the big wall of red light that leads to the rest of the mission, stop and do not jump down. Instead, take a left and jump over the small wall ahead of you. Once you reach the end of that platform, take another left and you’ll find the Oracle. Shoot it.
Oracle 2 location in ’The Whisper’
In the ’The Whisper’ mission of Destiny 2, Oracle 2 is found shortly after the small box elevator section. Instead of proceeding down the usual hallway on the left, players should focus on the platform ahead, where a thin ledge extends outward. Jump onto this narrow platform and look to the left to spot an illuminated gap in the wall. Entering this hidden room reveals Oracle 2, which players must destroy to progress in the Oracular Seeker triumph and unlock rewards such as upgrades for the Whisper of the Worm exotic and the Karve of the Worm ship schematics.

Proceed through “The Whisper” mission until you have to ride a small box elevator up to progress. Continue forward but do not turn left down the hallway like you normally would. Instead, look forward and you’ll see a thin platform. Jump on it and keep looking left. Eventually, you’ll find an illuminated gap in the wall that leads to a small room. Jump inside and you’ll find an Oracle. Shoot it.
Oracle 3 location in ’The Whisper’
The third Oracle in ’The Whisper’ mission is found in the long red hallway filled with Taken enemies like bumpers and Fallen Vandals. After reaching the end of this area, where a door opens and closes intermittently, do not proceed into the portal room where Xol starts speaking. Instead, jump onto the small platform in front of the exit door, then turn around and look back at the platform you came from. You will see another platform on the opposite side; jump to this back platform to find the third Oracle waiting there. Destroying this Oracle is necessary to progress in the Oracular Seeker triumph and unlock related rewards.

Proceed through the mission until you reach the long, red hallway where you’ll face Taken bumpers and some Fallen Vandals. Continue to the end of the room, where you’ll find a door that opens and closes every few seconds. If you reach the portal room where Xol starts talking to you, you’ve gone too far.
Jump to the small platform in front of the exit door and turn around. Look back at the platform you came from and you’ll notice a second platform on the other side. Jump to the back platform and you’ll find the Oracle sitting there. Shoot it.
Oracle 4 location in ’The Whisper’
The fourth Oracle in “The Whisper” mission is located in the so-called “green room,” a challenging jumping puzzle area. Instead of taking the usual shortcut, players must climb the wall on the left side near the entrance and carefully navigate around the room until they find a small gap. Jumping into this gap reveals a hidden chamber where the fourth Oracle awaits. Destroying this Oracle is necessary to progress in the Oracular Seeker triumph and unlock rewards such as the Karve of the Worm ship.

Past the aforementioned portal room, you’ll enter the infamous “green room.” If you’ve followed my guide for “The Whisper” and know where the shortcut is here, ignore it and take the long way. To do this, you’ll need to climb the wall using some extremely small ledges. Start on the left side, near where you came in, and work your way around the room. Eventually, you’ll find a small gap (which I’ve highlighted in the image above) that you can jump into, which will lead to the rest of the mission. Inside this gap is the fourth Oracle. Shoot it.
Oracle 5 location in ’The Whisper’
In the ’The Whisper’ mission in Destiny 2, Oracle 5 is located in the “green room” area. To find it, drop down into the pit beneath the large crack in the middle of the room, where you’ll encounter Taken Thrall enemies. Move forward through this dark area filled with shadows, and at the far end, look for a small secret room on the right side. Slide under a platform to enter this hidden nook where Oracle 5 awaits. Destroying this Oracle contributes to the Oracular Seeker triumph and the upgrade of the Whisper of the Worm Exotic weapon.

In the same “green room” as Oracle 4, you’ll find a massive crack in the middle of the room. If you jump straight into the crack, you’ll find a pit that leads to your death. But if you jump down and to the side, you’ll find a dark platform filled with Thrall shadows. Head down.

Ignore the Thrall and head to the back of the room, away from where you started. You’ll find a short, dark hallway. On the right side of the hallway, you’ll see a small entrance. Crouch and walk inside to find Oracle number five. Shoot it.
Oracle 6 location in ’The Whisper’
The sixth Oracle in “The Whisper” mission is located just before the leap of faith section. Instead of progressing forward, look down and to your left against the wall to find a small platform you can drop onto. This hidden platform houses the sixth Oracle, which you need to shoot to obtain the ship schematic part. After destroying this Oracle, a seventh one will appear nearby, signaling the next step in the Oracular Seeker triumph.

Take the shortcut out of the “green room” and make your way onto the big cylinder. Walk around the edge until you reach what looks like a diving board. This long platform is what you’re supposed to jump off of to reach the rest of the mission, but do not jump. Instead, look to the left of the diving board. You’ll see a dark crevice. Jump down and you’ll find a platform tucked into the wall. Land on the platform and follow the path to find the sixth Oracle.
Oracle 7 location in ’The Whisper’
In the Destiny 2 mission “The Whisper,” the seventh Oracle is located near the area where you typically move in a circle hugging the left wall. Instead of following the usual path, jump onto the ledge on your far right and continue jumping forward across consecutive ledges until you reach a Vex portal. Enter the portal, and the seventh Oracle will be directly in front of you. Destroying this Oracle is essential for progressing toward the Oracular Seeker triumph and unlocking the Karve of the Worm exotic ship.

From the sixth Oracle, jump back up onto the diving board and head back along the cylinder to where you first jumped onto it from the “green room” shortcut. Look out into the darkness and you’ll see what looks like a Vex portal in the distance.
To your right, you’ll see some rocks across from the cylinder. Take a running jump and leap over to the blocks. Climb the side of the wall (Strand Grapple makes this easier, if you have it) until you are overlooking the Vex Portal below. Behind the portal is the final Oracle. You can either shoot it from where you’re standing or jump down to the portal itself. Just be warned that getting back onto the main mission path from the portal is a little tricky.
The Karve of the Worm Exotic ship
The Karve of the Worm is an exotic ship in Destiny 2, introduced with the “Into the Light” update as a refreshed version of the original A Thousand Wings ship. To unlock this stylish vessel, players must complete the “Oracular Seeker” triumph by finding and destroying all seven hidden Oracles scattered throughout the “The Whisper” mission on Legend difficulty. Each Oracle destroyed grants progress toward the ship, which features a unique design blending Vex and Taken aesthetics. Unlike its predecessor, Karve of the Worm is available for free and can be earned without finishing the entire mission, making it an accessible reward for dedicated players exploring the mission’s secrets.

Once you’ve found all seven Oracles, you can unlock the Oracular Seeker Triumph in your Triumph menu. This will instantly give you the Karve of the Worm Exotic ship – pictured above – which is a Vex-y twist on the classic A Thousand Wings Exotic ship from the original mission.
Where are the most hidden Oracle locations in ‘The Whisper’ mission
The most hidden Oracle locations in ‘The Whisper’ mission are primarily found in secret rooms and hard-to-reach ledges that require careful exploration beyond the main path:
-
Oracle 2: After reaching the small box elevator, instead of turning left down the hallway, jump onto a thin platform ahead, then enter a hidden room through an illuminated gap in the wall on the left.
-
Oracle 3: In the long red hallway with Taken enemies, before the portal room, jump to a small platform opposite the exit door and then to a back platform where the Oracle awaits.
-
Oracle 4: Located beyond the portal room in the “green room,” avoid the shortcut and climb the wall using small ledges on the left side near the entrance. Work around to a small gap in the wall to find the Oracle inside a hidden space.
-
Oracle 5: Also in the green room, drop down into the shadowed pit at the far back wall to find a small hidden room housing the Oracle.
-
Oracle 6: After the green room, instead of hugging the wall on the left in the wide open chasm, drop down to a ledge on the side of the jumping platform to find another secret room with the Oracle inside.
These locations require careful platforming and attention to subtle environmental clues, making them the most concealed Oracles in the mission.
Which Oracle locations are considered the most hidden in ‘The Whisper’ mission
The most hidden Oracle locations in ‘The Whisper’ mission are generally considered to be Oracles 4, 5, 6, and 7 due to their placement in secret rooms and hard-to-access ledges off the main path:
-
Oracle 4: Found in the “green room” beyond the portal room, this Oracle requires climbing tiny ledges on the left side near the entrance and jumping into a small gap in the wall to reach a concealed area.
-
Oracle 5: Also in the green room, it is located by dropping down into a shadowed pit at the far back wall, where a hidden hole leads to another secret room housing the Oracle.
-
Oracle 6: Situated after the green room in a wide-open chasm, this Oracle is on ledges far to the right, requiring players to jump out toward a distant Vex portal instead of following the usual path along the left wall.
-
Oracle 7: In the same room as the Vex portal, but instead of jumping out to the portal, players must drop down into a hidden room in the wall on a thin ledge to find this Oracle.
These locations stand out as the most concealed due to their requirement for precise platforming and exploration of less obvious routes, making them notably more challenging to find compared to the first three Oracles positioned along more straightforward paths.
