Jikais Shrine location and walkthrough guide for Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Hidden deep within the Hebra region, Jikais Shrine tests both balance and precision with its clever physics puzzle. This guide shows exactly how to reach its snowy coordinates and solve each challenge to claim your well-earned Light of Blessing.

Jikais Shrine location

Jikais Shrine is found in the South Akkala Plains of the Akkala region at coordinates (4225, 2736, 0129). The shrine sits on slightly elevated terrain east of the Akkala Citadel Ruins, making it easy to spot once you approach the area. Players can reach it by gliding from the nearby Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower or by traveling north from South Akkala Stable along the main road.

The Jikais shrine is found within the Mount Lanayru region, specifically at the coordinates (4266, -1674, 0182).

The shrine is just found on the east side of Mount Lanayru and it’s in plain sight. To get to it, you may want to drink a cold resistance elixir or equip some cold resistance gear, like the Snowquill Armor.

Jikais Shrine walkthrough

Jikais Shrine features clever uses of metal objects and electricity. Begin by connecting conductive materials to power up mechanisms and open paths ahead. Use Ultrahand to move metal cubes and rods into place, completing circuits to activate platforms and gates. Watch for water surfaces that can carry electricity and plan your steps carefully. The main puzzle builds on linking energy across several points, leading you toward the final area with the Shrine’s reward chest and completion crystal.

Jikais Shrine involves lots of Ascending until you’re eventually caught in a little “jail” cell.

1. Use Ultrahand to move the blocks on the right, like the image below, and Ascend up to the ledge.

2. Pull the big square on the rail closer to you using Ultrahand, so you can jump down to it. Then pull the cube above it close enough for your to again, Ascend through and climb up another ledge.

3. Ascend up again once you’re on the ledge.

4. When you enter the new area, turn right and Ascend up the grated platform to get a magic staff from a chest.

5. Use Ultrahand on the stone slab and line it up like this:

6. Carefully walk to the part of the slab that hangs off the edge of the path and Ascend up the pillar. You’ll end up in jail.

7. Use Ultrahand to pick up the stone slab outside of the bars and bring it into your jail cage.

How to reach Jikais Shrine from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower

Jikais Shrine lies southeast of the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, at coordinates around (4265, -1674, 0182). The route involves gliding due to the cold, high-altitude terrain on Mount Lanayru’s southeastern slope.โ€‹โ€‹

Preparation

Equip cold-resistant armor like the Snowquill set or consume spicy food/elixirs to survive the freezing temperatures. Fast-travel to the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower if not already unlocked.โ€‹

Step-by-Step Route

Launch from the Skyview Tower by activating it or jumping off the top to gain height.โ€‹

  • Open your paraglider and steer southeast, aiming slightly downward toward the shrine’s glowing structure visible on the snowy slope.โ€‹โ€‹

  • Adjust for wind currents to cover the roughly 1,000-unit distance without landing prematurely.โ€‹

Land directly at the shrine entrance, northeast of Walnot Mountain.โ€‹

Best route to glide from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower

Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower provides the optimal launch point for gliding to Jikais Shrine due to its elevated position southeast of the shrine in the cold Lanayru region of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The best route prioritizes height, stamina management, and wind currents for a safe descent.โ€‹โ€‹

Preparation Tips

Fast-travel to the tower at coordinates (0097, -1495, 2563) and equip cold resistance like Snowquill armor or spicy peppers, as temperatures drop sharply. Fully upgrade stamina if possible, or use stamina elixirs for the glide.[conversation_history]โ€‹

Gliding Route

Activate the Skyview Tower for maximum height (or climb to the top), then immediately open your paraglider.โ€‹

  • Head southeast toward shrine coordinates (4265, -1674, 0182), keeping the snowy slopes of Walnot Mountain in sight as a landmark.โ€‹

  • Dive slightly to build speed, then level out to ride updrafts; aim for the glowing green shrine entrance visible from afar.โ€‹โ€‹

  • Correct for crosswinds by leaning into them, landing in 20-40 seconds without touching down early.โ€‹

Potential Challenges

Cold damage freezes stamina wheels quickly, so monitor your temperature gauge. If stamina runs low, deploy Tulin’s Gust if available for extra distance.โ€‹โ€‹
