Susuyai Shrine Location and Walkthrough in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Hidden beneath the Great Plateau’s edge, the Susuyai Shrine challenges players to master Zonai motors and momentum. Precision timing and clever engineering turn simple wheels into powerful tools for solving every mechanical puzzle inside.

Susuyai Shrine location

Susuyai Shrine is found in Hyrule Field, just west of Lookout Landing at coordinates (-0785, -0435, 0018). It sits near the main road leading toward Hyrule Castle, making it one of the first shrines players can access after reaching the surface. The area is easy to spot thanks to the surrounding Zonai devices and the nearby ruins, which hint at the shrine’s puzzle theme involving motion and machinery.

Susuyai Shrine is in the Hyrule Field region to the southwest of the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower (and Lookout Landing). The exact coordinates are (-0785, -0433, 0018).

Susuyai Shrine walkthrough

Susuyai Shrine focuses on mastering Zonai motors to move large platforms and reach higher areas. Use the available fans and steering sticks to power vehicles across gaps and transport blocks to their proper positions. You’ll need to activate switches and align platforms carefully to create paths forward. The final section tests your control and balance as you ride a motorized cart to the goal, where the shrine reward awaits.

Susuyai Shrine teaches you about Zonai motors and how make simple cars.

1. As you enter Susuyai Shrine, you’ll see three carts crossing a wide area ahead of you. Hit the wheels to deactivate them (so they stop running into you) and grab them with Ultrahand.

2. The middle cart – the one traveling from right to left – has a chest on it with a bundle of arrows inside.

3. Past those carts, you’ll come to a landing with a (partially) disassembled cart on your left. There’s a panel with two wheels (with built-in motors) attached, and two loose motors.

4. Pick up the cart and flip it over, and then place the other two motors to match the two already in place. (You can also just grab one of the carts from before if you want to take the easy route.)

5. Position your cart so it can drive straight up the conveyor belt ramp.

6. Climb on, and hit one of the wheels to start the cart. Ride your cart over the ramp to the other side.

7. When you hit the gate, there will be a crank on your right to turn.

8. Pull one (or more) of the wheels off of your cart, and attach it to one of the arms of the crank.

9. Set it in motion to open the gate.

10. The next section has a track with a cart hanging from it and two more motors on your left.

How to find the Korok Seed near Susuyai Shrine

There is a Korok that’s “missing his friend” just south of Susuyai Shrine, and helping him reach the other Korok gives you a Korok Seed.

Where to find it

  • From Susuyai Shrine, look directly south toward the southern edge of the Lookout Landing region; on the field below you’ll find a Korok with a backpack complaining he can’t reach his friend.

  • His friend is a short distance further south; you can usually see the green Korok smoke signal marking the friend’s location.

How to get the Korok Seed

  1. Talk to the backpack Korok to start the mini-puzzle.

  2. Build a simple vehicle (cart with wheels, or a board with a fan), or just carry him with Ultrahand if you prefer.

  3. Transport him safely to his friend; when they reunite, you receive 2 Korok Seeds (1 from each Korok).

If you tell me which powers you have unlocked (Ultrahand only, or also fans, etc.), I can suggest the quickest specific build for this particular pair.
