He offers The Queenbreaker linear fusion rifle, Shinobu’s Vow Hunter gauntlets, Actium War Rig Titan chest, and Verity’s Brow Warlock helmet this week.

This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, hanging out on the big tree in theWatcher’s Grave.

What is worth buying from Xur this week?

Xur offers Legacy’s Oath, a strong pulse rifle with solid perks for PvE and PvP. Hawkmoon rolls with Kinetic Tremor this week, boosting close-range damage after slides. Grab the Orpheus Rig hunter exotic for nightfall clears, as it speeds up tether recharge. Skip the rest unless you lack exotics like Young Ahamkara’s Spine or the Stoicism gauntlets.

Here’s some more specific advice on Xur’s wares this week, March 17 to 21:

THE QUEENBREAKER

The Queenbreaker returns as a precision Linear Fusion Rifle that rewards accuracy and patience. Its Arc bolts can blind enemies, offering strong crowd control in both PvE and PvP. Paired with its unique scope modes, it delivers flexible engagement ranges-from steady mid-distance shots to pinpoint long-range headshots. Guardians seeking a reliable exotic with striking utility will find this weapon a valuable addition to their loadout.

The Queenbreaker is an Exotic from Destiny 2: Forsaken, and is a remake of the Queenbreaker’s Bow Exotic from Destiny. It’s an Arc linear fusion rifle with a choice between two kinds of zooms. The Marksman Sights increase Charge Time, zoom, and damage; the Combat Sights reduce Charge Time and increase Handling. The Exotic perk is Wire Rifling, which causes the bolts from the gun to blind targets.

The Queenbreaker can be very powerful in any PvP environment. Even with the Combat Sights, it can quickly kill a Guardian in a single shot from far away. In PvE, this weapon is decent, but far down on the Exotic heavy weapon food chain. You should pick up The Queenbreaker if you don’t have it yet.

SHINOBU’S VOW

Shinobu vows to track Xur’s weekly arrivals across Destiny 2’s systems, ensuring players grab his exotics without fail. From March 24 to 28, she pinpoints his spot and lists every weapon, armor piece, and curio on offer. Her promise holds firm: no rotation slips by unnoticed, arming Guardians with the gear they need for raids and strikes.

Shinobu’s Vow are gauntlets added in Curse of Osiris. Their exotic perk, New Tricks, improves your Skip Grenade and grants you an extra Skip Grenade charge. The worth of this exotic comes down to personal preference. Anything that gives you an extra grenade charge is great. If you like playing Arcstrider and prefer using a grenade-boosting exotic rather than the Raiden Flux chest piece, pick up these gauntlets. If that doesn’t apply to you, skip it.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 61 total stats.

Actium War Rig is an extremely powerful Titan chest piece. Its exotic perk, Auto-loading Link, will constantly reload your auto rifles as you fire them. If you’re a fan of auto rifles – especially ones with larger-than-average magazines – this is an incredible exotic. When pairing Actium War Rig with the Sweet Business exotic auto rifle, the clip will refill with 10 rounds every few seconds, allowing the minigun to truly feel unique. If you ever use auto rifles, this chest piece is an absolute must-have.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 66 total stats.

VERITY’S BROW

Warlocks grab Verity’s Brow from Xur at Watcher’s Grave on Nessus during March 24-28. This helmet turns your next grenade into a more powerful one after picking up Orbs of Power. Pair it with grenade-focused builds for stronger ability cycling in tough fights.

This Verity’s Brow Warlock helmet is fairly mediocre. Its exotic perk is The Fourth Magic, which causes your energy weapon kills to regenerate grenade energy for you and your nearby allies. This perk is fine and always useful. However, when compared to many of the other Warlock exotics out there – Crown of Tempests, Geomag Stabilizers, Chromatic Fire, etc. – there is almost no situation where this helmet is worth using.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 64 total stats.

Exotic Cipher quest

The Exotic Cipher quest this week gives players another chance to earn a rare currency used to purchase legacy exotics from the Monument to Lost Lights. Completing the quest requires finishing strikes, winning Gambit or Crucible matches, and earning points through gameplay activities. It’s a reliable way to expand your collection and pick up older weapons or armor pieces you may have missed from past expansions.

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the Tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

Are The Queenbreaker and Shinobu’s Vow good this week

The Queenbreaker excels this week as a top-tier DPS option in PvE. Recent buffs to linear fusion rifles, including a 10% PvE damage increase, plus its catalyst enabling Rewind Rounds and burst-fire modes, deliver massive output-up to nearly 7 million total damage in optimal setups with artifact perks like Particle Deconstruction.

Shinobu’s Vow remains average overall for Hunters. It boosts Arc skip grenades with an extra charge and energy return on hits, aiding grenade-focused builds, but it lacks standout power compared to top exotics in current PvE or PvP metas.

Queenbreaker catalyst location and perks

The Queenbreaker catalyst adds the Rewind Rounds perk, which refills the magazine from reserves based on hits landed when empty, minimizing reloads for sustained DPS-crucial with recent buffs making it a top linear fusion rifle.

How to Farm It

It drops randomly from completed matches in Crucible, Gambit, or Vanguard Ops playlists. For efficiency, create solo Private Matches in Crucible: set Collision mode (any map), Capture Zone Speed to Fast, Match Time Limit to 5 minutes, and Score Limit to 5-capture the zone to end it quickly (30 seconds), then repeat and return to orbit each time to preserve settings.

Unlocking the Catalyst

Once obtained, complete 400 kills with The Queenbreaker. Use spots like Shuro Chi in Last Wish raid or Altars of Sorrow on Moon for fast farming.

Additional Perks

The weapon’s Wire Rifle trait lets you swap scopes via special reload:

  • Marksman Sights: Single bolt that chains and blinds nearby targets (great for adds).

  • Combat Sights: Three-round burst that further reduces charge time on sustained fire (boss DPS king, especially with Particle Deconstruction). Set your default scope in the inspection menu.
