Devil is in the Details Triumph

Each collectible in the Spire of the Watcher hides behind precise platforming and sharp observation. Slight missteps can cost valuable time, as some collectibles require activating switches in a strict sequence or timing jumps with precision. Paying attention to subtle visual cues-such as dimly lit panels or faint mechanical hums-often reveals the way forward. Success depends on patience and accuracy, proving that mastering the smallest details can lead to a clean completion of the challenge.

Collecting all six recordings grants you the Devil is in the Details Triumph. This is required for the WANTED title and also provides you with a sight increase in the drop rate of the dungeon Exotic bow, Hierarchy of Needs.

Devilish recordings

These devilish recordings hide in shadowy corners of the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. Players spot the first one near the opening traversal section, perched on a ledge above the initial jumping puzzle. Another sits inside the Pyramid room after the first encounter, tucked behind a console during the defense phase. The third appears in the Archives, floating beside a data terminal post-second boss. Check high platforms and out-of-reach spots to grab them all.

Here’s where you can find the six Devilish recordings hidden inside the dungeon.

Devilish recording 1

The first collectible is found at the bottom of the large slide that follows finishing the opening fight. Once you hit the bottom, turn to your right. The collectible is on the third catwalk up from the ground.

Collectible two is found in the room right before you enter the large chasm. It is tucked in the greenish lit area, as shown above.

Collectible three is placed right next to the first secret chest. Once you make the large leap to land on the tiny railing, climb up as high as you can – this is the path you would normally take to progress through the area. Once you reach the top, turn so that you are facing the large pillar you just climbed. You will need to make a leap of faith around the right side of the pillar, you will know you are in the correct spot because there will be a small platform on that right side for you to land on. Jump to that platform and continue to the other side of the large pillar. The collectible will be directly in front of you.

Collectible four is directly before you take the lift out of the chasm. Once you reach the lift, look to your left. There will be a small platform with a blue glow, where collectible four is waiting.

How to complete Devil in the Details Triumph in Spire of the Watcher

The Devil in the Details Triumph in Destiny 2’s Spire of the Watcher dungeon requires collecting all six Devilish Recordings, hidden audio logs scattered throughout the activity. Completing it unlocks progress toward the WANTED title and boosts drop chances for the Exotic bow, Hierarchy of Needs.

Recording 1 Location
After the opening encounter with Arc nodes and enemies, slide down into the abyss area. Follow the right wall, jump up side platforms before dropping further; the recording sits on a ledge overlooking the chasm.​​

Recording 2 Location
In the hallway post-drop with multiple gaps, drop straight into the lower room instead of progressing. The collectible is on your left near the entry point.​

Recording 3 Location
During the jumping puzzle after a major ledge jump and climb up a pillar, turn around and circle right around the pillar’s exterior. Land on a small opposite platform where it waits directly ahead.​

Recording 4 Location
At the end of the full jumping puzzle sequence, before taking the lift, look left to a small glowing platform tucked against the wall.​​

Recording 5 Location
Right as you enter the Spire Ascent encounter loading zone by the rally flag, head right up the stairs to a console with a blue Fallen sigil screen.​​

Recording 6 Location
After completing the tower-climbing encounter and grabbing loot, before heading to the first boss, climb platforms into the adjacent building. Run across to the far side room for the final one.​

How to get Hierarchy of Needs Exotic bow in Spire of the Watcher

Hierarchy of Needs Acquisition
The Hierarchy of Needs Exotic Solar bow drops randomly from Persys, the final boss in Destiny 2’s Spire of the Watcher dungeon, with one chance per character per weekly reset (up to three total). It’s not guaranteed but can drop without any special requirements beyond completing the dungeon on any difficulty.

Boosting Drop Chances
Complete specific Spire of the Watcher triumphs under the WANTED: Spire of the Watcher seal to increase odds, especially Devil in the Details (all six Devilish Recordings). Other helpful ones include Resident Vexpert (Expert mode), The Magnificent One (all encounters flawless), Mind the Vexplosion (no deaths on encounters), and Untarnished Grit (solo flawless). Claim triumphs in your inventory before the final boss for the bonus; players report success after 10-15 runs or fewer with triumphs.​​
