Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Remembrance Duplication Coffin Locations Guide

Guides

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, mastering the art of duplicating Remembrances is key to unlocking every powerful weapon and spell the DLC has to offer. But with only three elusive Stone Coffins scattered across the shadowy realms-each allowing a single duplication-you’ll need to choose your moments wisely. Discover the precise locations of these duplication sites and how to make the most of them before you embark on your next epic journey into the Land of Shadow.

Unlike Elden Ring, however, there are no bell-clanging Wandering Mausoleums lurking in the shadow realm. Instead, there are stationary stone coffin altars scattered across the Shadow of the Erdtree map that are easy to access – especially if you’re progressing through Count Ymir’s questline.

Our Elden Ring guide will show you how to duplicate Remembrances in Shadow of the Erdtree, and all three locations you can find stone coffin altars to do so.

How to duplicate Remembrance in Elden Ring DLC

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, duplicating Remembrances differs from the base game’s Wandering Mausoleums method. Instead, players must locate one of three special stone coffin altars scattered throughout the Land of Shadow. These coffins can be found behind the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in Scadu Altus, on a cliff at the Finger Ruins of Rhia, and near the Finger Ruins of Dheo. Interacting with these coffins allows you to duplicate a Remembrance once per location, so choose carefully to obtain additional boss rewards you might have missed initially.

Similar to the Wandering Mausoleums in Elden Ring, you’ll need to interact with an altar that looks like a stone coffin with a headless corpse resting atop it. Unlike Elden Ring, you don’t need to take down the various Wandering Mausoleums to get access to these altars. Should you find one, you need only interact with it, selecting “Examine remains” to proceed. From there, you simply need to select which boss Remembrance you want to duplicate.

There are 10 new Remembrance bosses to fight in the Elden Ring DLC. Each stone coffin altar in Shadow of the Erdtree will only duplicate one Remembrance. After using one, they become inactive. There are three stone coffins in the shadow realm, meaning you can duplicate a total of three boss Remembrances.

Here’s where to find all three Remembrance duplication sites in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Finger Ruins of Rhia stone coffin altar location

The Finger Ruins of Rhia stone coffin altar in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is located on the southwest side of the crater within the Finger Ruins of Rhia area, resting on a ridge. The closest Site of Grace is the Finger Ruins of Rhia, which is accessible from the Cerulean Coast Cross Site of Grace by heading northeast. To reach the altar, players need to follow the eastern beach around to the entrance of the Finger Ruins of Rhia, then take a raised path that splits off to the right, leading to the stone coffin altar at the end of a short cliff area. This altar allows players to duplicate Remembrances once, so choosing which Remembrance to duplicate here is important.

The stone coffin altar location is surrounded by Fingercreepers of all sizes, so be careful how you approach it.

Finger Ruins of Dheo stone coffin altar location

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Finger Ruins of Dheo stone coffin altar is located on the northwest edge of the peninsula in the Finger Ruins of Dheo area. To reach it, players should head east from the Fingerstone Hill Site of Grace, descending down the path from the site of grace and following the northern cliffs. This altar is one of three stone coffin altars in the DLC where players can duplicate Remembrances, allowing them to obtain additional rewards from defeated bosses. Be cautious of nearby Fingercreepers when approaching the altar.

Cathedral at Manus Metyr stone coffin location

The Cathedral at Manus Metyr stone coffin is one of the three key Remembrance duplication sites in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It is located in the shallow lake surrounding the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, slightly to the southwest of the cathedral itself. This site allows players to duplicate a Remembrance once, making it crucial to choose carefully. Unlike other locations, there are no Fingercreepers here, but some Marionette Soldiers are nearby, posing a moderate threat. The stone coffin is easily accessible by riding around the back of the cathedral, where the large stone coffin is prominently placed in the water.

The third and final stone coffin altar Remembrance duplication site is southwest of the Cathedral at Manus Metyr. No Fingercreepers to worry about here, but there are some Marionette Soldiers nearby.

Discover the hidden locations where you can duplicate powerful boss Remembrances in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, duplicating powerful boss Remembrances is essential to claim every unique weapon and spell each boss offers. Unlike the base game’s Wandering Mausoleums, the DLC features three hidden stone coffins scattered across the Shadow Realm where you can duplicate Remembrances-each usable only once. These coffins are located behind the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in Scadu Altus, inside the Finger Ruins of Rhia on the Southern Shore, and near the Finger Ruins of Dheo, making them crucial stops for any completionist seeking to maximize their arsenal.

What are the exact map locations for each Remembrance duplication site in Shadow of the Erdtree

The exact map locations for each Remembrance duplication site in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree are as follows:

  • Behind the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in Scadu Altus: The stone coffin is located in the shallow lake at the back of the cathedral, southwest of the main building. You can reach it by riding around the rear of the cathedral, where the coffin sits prominently in the water.

  • On the eastern cliff overlooking the Finger Ruins of Rhia in the Southern Shore region: From the Site of Grace “Finger Ruins of Rhia,” travel east into the ruins, then take a raised path branching off to the right (northeast). At the end of this cliff area, you’ll find the duplication coffin.

  • East of the crater in the Finger Ruins of Dheo, near the Fingerstone Hill Site of Grace: From the Fingerstone Hill grace, head southeast down the path into the ruins, then turn north before reaching the tallest finger landmark. The coffin is located just before the cliff edge in this area.

Each of these stone coffins can be used only once to duplicate a single Remembrance, so choose carefully.
