Guides

Hunting for a weapon that can turn the tide of battle in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree? The Bloodfiend’s Arm, a colossal club dripping with deadly bleed power, is your ultimate prize. Found atop the ruined heights of Prospect Town, this brutal armament demands strength and arcane mastery to unleash its devastating bloodspray attacks-making it a must-have for any bleed-focused build ready to melt bosses with sheer ferocity.

In this Shadow of the Erdtree guide, I’ll walk you through how to get the Bloodfiend’s Arm weapon, why you want it, and how to get to Prospect Townearly on in your adventure so you can farm it.

How to get the Bloodfiend’s Arm

To get the Bloodfiend’s Arm in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, head to Prospect Town, an optional area south of Belurat reachable from the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace. At the top of Prospect Town, defeat the group of Bloodfiends-large brutish enemies wielding heavy clubs. The Bloodfiend’s Arm is a guaranteed drop from one of these enemies on your first kill. Note that to obtain a second one for dual-wielding, you will need to enter New Game Plus, as the weapon does not drop again on respawns until then. The weapon requires 28 Strength, 11 Dexterity, and 16 Arcane to wield and is highly effective for bleed-focused builds due to its strong bleed buildup and scaling with Strength and Arcane.

The Bloodfiend’s Arm is classified as a Colossal Weapon, and you can get one from any Bloodfiend enemy. You can find these guys in a few different places in Gravesite Plain and the Ancient Ruins of Ruah regions, but the easiest place to farm them is Prospect Town, early on in the game.

In the central ruins of Prospect Town, climb up almost to the very top, where you’ll find a tower and a treasure chest. Just before you get there, at the foot of the steps for the tower, you’ll find what I’ll call a gaggle of Bloodfiends. Take these guys out before they clobber you and you’ll have a high chance of getting the Bloodfiend’s Arm.

If you don’t get the drop, simply return to the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, rest, and return to slay the gaggle again.

How to get to Prospect Town in Elden Ring

To get to Prospect Town in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, start at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace near Belurat Castle in Gravesite Plain. From there, head south along the mountain wall without going through the stone gate, following a narrow path of jagged rocks that leads upward. This path will bring you to the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, located just in front of Prospect Town. Alternatively, you can reach it from the Three Path Cross Site of Grace by heading southwest, passing an archway, then sticking close to the cliff wall along a hidden stone path through the trees until you reach Cliffroad Terminus, and then proceed south to the ruined town area. Prospect Town is a key location for farming Bloodfiend enemies and their powerful weapon drops.

Getting to Prospect Town is straightforward, but very easy to miss.

Just outside of Belurat castle in Gravesite Plain, you’ll find the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace, where you first meet Sir Ansbach. From that site of grace, go south to the mountain wall but not through the stone gate. You’ll find a path of jagged rocks leading up into the mountains. Take this path, kill some rats, and you’ll eventually find yourself at the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, which is right in front of Prospect Town.

What does the Bloodfiend’s Arm do?

The Bloodfiend’s Arm in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is a colossal weapon that excels in Bleed and Arcane builds. It scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane, making it ideal for players focusing on these stats. The weapon is slow but delivers hard-hitting attacks, with its heavy attacks manifesting a small bleed-effect area of effect (AOE) that sprays blood and rapidly builds up Bleed on enemies. This makes it especially effective for boss fights, where charged two-handed attacks can stagger and inflict massive Bleed damage. Additionally, it comes with the Endure skill, which boosts poise and reduces damage taken briefly, enhancing survivability during combat.

The Bloodfiend’s Arm weapon is primarily used for stacking up a ton of Bleed on enemies, which it can do very quickly. And because its Ash of War slot isn’t locked, you can replace the default one – Endure – with something like Shriek of Sorrow, Savage Lion’s Claw, or Rolling Sparks. Pair any of those with a Bleed Affinity on the weapon and you’ll be able to even the odds against some of the DLC’s hardest bosses.

What’s the easiest way to farm Bloodfiend’s Arm in Shadow of the Erdtree

The easiest way to farm the Bloodfiend’s Arm in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is at Prospect Town. From the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace, head north to Three Path Cross, then west towards Main Gate Cross. Instead of entering Belurat Tower, take the path southeast along the cliff edge to reach the Cliffside Terminus Site of Grace, just before Prospect Town. Ride Torrent into the ruined town and clear out the group of Bloodfiends near the top-each kill has a guaranteed chance to drop the Bloodfiend’s Arm. If you don’t get it, rest at the Site of Grace and repeat the run. Using area-of-effect attacks can speed up farming significantly.

What makes Prospect Town the best spot to farm Bloodfiend’s Arm

Prospect Town is the best spot to farm the Bloodfiend’s Arm in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree because it offers a concentrated group of Bloodfiend enemies in a relatively compact area, allowing for efficient repeated kills and farming runs. The location features multiple Bloodfiends clustered near the top of the ruins, providing a high chance of the weapon dropping each time they are defeated. Additionally, the proximity of the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace nearby enables quick restarts and farming loops, making the process less time-consuming and more manageable early in the game. This combination of enemy density, ease of access, and fast respawn makes Prospect Town the optimal farming location for the Bloodfiend’s Arm.
