Choosing to “Touch Phantom” will teleport you to a special arena where you must defeat the Revenant’s spectral form, the Night Idol, in a boss fight. Upon victory, the Revenant becomes a playable character.

To unlock the Revenant in Elden Ring: Nightreign, you first need to unlock the Duchess by obtaining the Old Pocketwatch, which is acquired after completing or attempting the Tricephalos Expedition and then giving it to the Priestess. Once the Duchess is unlocked, visit the Small Jar Bazaar in Roundtable Hold to purchase the Besmirched Frame for 1,500 Murk, a currency earned during Expeditions. With the Besmirched Frame in your inventory, head to the eastern wing of Roundtable Hold and interact with the Revenant phantom near a character statue. Defeating the Night Idol is no easy task, because it’s a four-against-one fight. The best strategy is to fight each phantom one by one, keeping distance between you and the Night Idol so that her long-range spell (Triple Rings of Light) doesn’t kill you.
Pull the smallest spirit, Helen the Page, first and dispatch her. Then move on to Frederick the Pumpkin Head, while maintaining a safe distance from Night Idol. Finally, take down Sebastian the Giant Skeleton. From there, go all in on Night Idol, either attacking her from range with arrows, magic, or throwing pots; or keeping the pressure on her up close.
