Here’s how to get a Typhoon Blade and how to use them in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.

How to get the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite

To get the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, you have several options. The most reliable method is to loot it from Typhoon Blade Stands located at fixed and random spots around the map, such as the bamboo circle near Masked Meadows, Nightshift Vault, Shogun’s Solitude, Lost Lake, and Nightshift Forest. Each stand provides one blade, so you may need to visit multiple stands if some are already looted. Additionally, the Typhoon Blade can be found in chests and as floor loot in high-loot areas like Shogun’s Solitude, Nightshift Forest, and Lost Lake. You can also obtain it by defeating Demon Warriors or the boss Shun X, who drops a mythic variant of the blade. Finally, players can purchase the Typhoon Blade from the NPC Kendo using Gold Bars after meeting certain conditions.

Similar to other loot, the Typhoon Blade can be found in chests and or on the ground, but it can also be found on dedicated stands scattered around the map.

The Typhoon Blade stands can be found in quite a few locations around the map in Chapter 6 Season 1, but only a few of the stand locations are fixed.

Here are the fixed stand locations that we’ve found so far:

  • Inside the bamboo circle to the south of the Masked Meadows
  • Inside of the Night Shift Vault

Here are the random stand locations that we’ve found so far:

  • Shogun’s Solitude (Main building and southern building)
  • Lost Lake (Northern building)
  • Nightshift Forest (Main building)

Meanwhile, a mythic version of the Typhoon Blade can be obtained by defeating Shogun X, a boss that teleports around the map and spawns atop the randomly appearing floating islands, and a source of one of the oni masks.

How to use the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite

The Typhoon Blade in Fortnite is a versatile melee weapon that excels both in combat and mobility. To use it effectively, players can perform three main attacks: a default slash dealing 30 damage, a Falling Strike by leaping and slamming down for 70 damage, and a powerful Cyclone Slash that charges up to deal 90 damage and knock back nearby enemies. Beyond attacks, the blade enhances sprint speed by 25% and greatly extends stamina, allowing faster and longer movement across the map. Players can also use the blade’s Wind Leap and Air Dash abilities to nullify fall damage and quickly reposition during fights. Combining these attacks with advanced movement techniques like double dashing and sprint-sliding maximizes both offensive pressure and evasiveness, making the Typhoon Blade a formidable tool in battle.

The Typhoon Blade has a multitude of functionalities that allow you to deal a ton of damage and improve your movement abilities.

The Typhoon Blade has three different attacks:

  • Default Attack: Swing the blade with your “Fire/Melee” key and deal 30 damage per slash.
  • Falling Strike: Leap into the air and use your “Fire/Melee” key to slam onto the ground.
  • Cyclone Slash: Use your “Target” or “Aim Down Sights” key to charge up a slash dealing 90 damage and knocking away nearby enemies.

The Typhoon Blade has two different movement abilities:

  • Wind Leap: Jump while sprinting to reach higher heights and negate fall damage.
  • Air Dash: After performing Wind Leap, jump in the air to dash forward.

  • Inside the building at the center of Nightshift Forest and its underground vault (requires Solunar Key from Bushranger).

  • Inside the south and main central buildings at Shogun’s Solitude.

Which hidden Typhoon Blade locations are the hardest to find in Fortnite

The hardest hidden Typhoon Blade locations in Fortnite tend to be those tucked away in secret or underground areas that require special access or keys, making them less obvious to players:

  • The Magic Mosses Secret Vault, located underground and accessible only by using a Sprite to open a sealed door, is one of the most challenging hidden spots to find.

  • The underground vault inside Nightshift Forest, which requires the Solunar Key obtained from the Bushranger boss, is another difficult-to-access location housing a Typhoon Blade stand.

  • Secret areas south of Demon’s Dojo, reachable via descenders, also contain hidden stands that are not immediately visible or easy to reach.

  • Additionally, some stands are located inside buildings or basements in less-trafficked areas like the obstacle training course north of Demon’s Dojo or the basement of the house in southern Twinkle Terrace, which can be tricky to locate without prior knowledge.

These hidden stands require players to navigate complex terrain, obtain special keys, or use specific movement mechanics, making them the hardest Typhoon Blade locations to find in Fortnite.
