How to Find Hateno Village in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Finding Hateno Village in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be tricky without the right direction. This guide pinpoints its exact coordinates, explains the fastest routes from nearby landmarks, and reveals why it’s one of the game’s most useful hubs for upgrades and quests.

Hateno Village location

Hateno Village sits in the East Necluda region on the southeastern edge of Hyrule, south of the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and close to Zanmik Shrine. Its coordinates are roughly around (3300-3600, -2140, 0100), placing it beyond Fort Hateno along the road leading east from Blatchery Plain.

The coordinates for Hateno Village are (3608, -2163, 0176). The easiest way to get there will be to seek out the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and glide over from there – you have to pass some mountain ranges to make your way into the village. It’s a relatively easy journey, but it is quite a ways away from the starting area in Central Hyrule.

Hateno Village quests, points of interest

Hateno Village offers a variety of side quests that highlight its rural charm and connection to technology, including the Hateno Village Research Lab tasks and fashion-related missions at the Hateno Dye Shop. Players can visit points of interest such as the Hateno School, Zelko’s general store, and Cece’s clothing boutique. The village also features scenic viewpoints overlooking Mount Lanayru and several homes that can be customized, making it a central hub for rest, trade, and experimentation.

There’s plenty to do in Hateno Village. There’s an inn for sleeping, a dye shop for customizing clothes, a general store, and an armor shop. There’s also the Hateno Pasture, where you can purchase Hetana Cheese – after a short side adventure. Beyond that, there are plenty of homes to explore and people to meet.

Many of the quests center around a woman named Cece and the mayor, Reede. The big story there is a disagreement between the two; Cece wants to take Hateno Village into the future while Reede wants to celebrate the past. They decide to hold an election to decide the new mayor, and there are several questions, including “A New Signature Food,” which revolves around that. Both Reede and Cece have two short quests wherein you have to uncover their secrets, too.

Beyond that, Hateno Village is also the location of Robbie’s of Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and the Hateno Village Research Lab side adventure, which is key to unlocking the Travel Medallion and Hero’s Path upgrades for your Purah Pad. Robbie’s lab is just east of the main village, on a hill.

Best way to reach Hateno Village from Dueling Peaks Stable

From Dueling Peaks Stable, the best route to Hateno Village in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom follows the main road east through Blatchery Plain for a safe, straightforward journey on foot or horseback. This path takes about 4-7 in-game hours when galloping a horse, avoiding major hazards if you stay on the road.

Step-by-Step Directions

Head east from the stable toward Kakariko Village, then continue past Kakariko Bridge and southeast into Blatchery Plain. Pass through Fort Hateno (clear out any nearby monsters for easier travel), and at each of the three road forks beyond the fort, take the left path until you reach the village gate.

Travel Tips

Use a horse for speed, and stock up on arrows or fire fruits to handle Bokoblins around Fort Hateno. Cook stamina meals beforehand to climb shortcuts if needed, and watch for Gloom patches in wooded detours-stick to the path to minimize risks. Once there, the Zanmik Shrine offers a fast-travel point for return trips.

Fast travel points nearest to Dueling Peaks Stable

Eshos Shrine serves as the closest fast travel point to Dueling Peaks Stable in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, located west of the stable on the cliffs near the Dueling Peaks at coordinates (1564, -1943, 0157). From there, glide east to reach the stable quickly, as it’s visible by its horse head and smoke.

Other Nearby Points
