Mayachin Shrine location
Mayachin Shrine is found in Hyrule Field, just southeast of Hyrule Castle. Its exact coordinates are roughly (-0705, -0867, 0031). The shrine sits near the Hyrule Field Chasm and can be easily spotted beside a broken structure on a small plateau. Players approaching from Lookout Landing can glide southeast across the plains or follow the road leading toward the castle moat for a direct route.

Mayachin Shrine ‘A Fixed Device’ walkthrough
The Mayachin Shrine puzzle focuses on precision and timing to strike targets using a rotating mechanism. Attach a weapon to the device and adjust its position so that it hits the target switch at the right moment. You’ll need to activate nearby platforms and use the environment to redirect motion toward the goal. Once the final target is hit, the gate opens, granting access to the shrine’s reward chest and completion point.
Mayachin Shrine is a little bit of pinball and a little bit of tee-ball mixed together.
1. Hop across the gap using the rotating platform when you first enter Mayachin Shrine.
2. Ahead, you’ll see a switch and a crystal, and below, you’ll see a few construction parts, a couple targets, and a ramp. And there’s a giant ball rolling through the middle of it all. In the image below, we’ve labeled the stuff we’ll be using in the next steps to help clarify.
3. If you haven’t yet, stand on the switch to reveal a target on the left.
4. Go down to the lower level and head to the actuator (the thing sticking out of the ground next to where the ball rolls).
5. Grab a stake and place it horizontally into the actuator’s face – we need to attach a pole to the actuator, but you can’t attach one directly.
6. Place a pole onto the end of the stake to create a bat-like structure – kind of like a pinball flipper.
7. Head back up the stairs to the crystal and switch.
8. Wait for the ball to touch the second-to-last white tile, and hit the crystal.
9. Practice hitting the crystal and adjust your timing until the ball hits the target – which will reveal a target on the right side of the room and open the shrine’s exit on your left.
How to get the Mayachin Shrine chest
To reach the chest in the Mayachin Shrine, use the rotating device to launch a ball toward the target. After activating the target once, the gate to the chest area will open. Head up the newly accessible path, use the moving platforms to cross, and claim your reward inside the chest before returning to complete the final puzzle section.
1. Head down the stairs and turn to the right to find a hanging panel and a stake in the ground.
2. Grab the stake in the ground behind the hanging panel and flip it upside-down. Place it in the ceiling above the hanging panel.
3. Grab the hanging panel and rotate it so it’s laying flat. Attach the hanging panel to the stake to hold it up out of the way of the target button behind it.
4. Head back up to the top by the crystal and switch.
5. Hit the crystal to have the bat point towards Link and the crystal.
6. Wait for the ball to roll past your bat assembly and get just before the edge of the platform, then hit the crystal.
What rewards do you get for completing Mayachin Shrine
Mayachin Shrine Rewards
Completing the Mayachin Shrine grants a Light of Blessing, which can be exchanged at Goddess Statues for either a Heart Container or Stamina Vessel.
This standard shrine reward helps progress toward the 120 shrines needed for additional game benefits.
Treasure Chest
The optional chest, accessed by hitting the second target after the main puzzle, contains an Energizing Elixir that restores one-third of a stamina wheel.
This item proves useful for exploration, such as taming horses or climbing.
How to access the treasure chest in Mayachin Shrine
Treasure Chest Access
The treasure chest in Mayachin Shrine lies behind the right gate, opposite the exit, which opens after hitting the second target with the rolling ball.
After striking the left target first (to open the exit), adjust the “bat” device-formed by attaching a stake to a pole on the actuator-for a later swing timing on the ball, just past the final white tile.
Clearing Obstacles
A hanging platform blocks the right target; grab the nearby stake with Ultrahand, attach its flat end to the platform’s front, lift and rotate to pin the spiky end into the wall above, moving it aside.
Once clear, time the bat swing to knock the ball into the target, unlocking the gate to the chest containing an Energizing Elixir.
Alternative Method
Shoot a Bomb Flower arrow at the right target directly to bypass bat timing, though precise aiming works best after repositioning the platform.
