Hidden deep in the floating ruins of the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago, the Mayam Shrine rewards those who can solve a mysterious sky puzzle. This guide explains exactly where to find the shrine, how to trigger its appearance, and what awaits inside Rauru’s Blessing.
Mayam Shrine location
Mayam Shrine is found inside the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago, directly above the Great Hyrule Forest. To reach it, travel to Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower in the north and use it to launch into the air. Glide southeast toward a group of floating islands and land on the platform with a large circular structure. The shrine is located inside this structure, accessible once you align the nearby floating platforms or use Zonai devices to bridge the gap.
The Mayam Shrine is found within the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago region at the coordinates of (0344, 2815, 1820). It’s a Rauru’s Blessing shrine, which means the puzzle is outside of the shrine – you’ll need to move a crystal to open the shrine.
Mayam Shrine walkthrough
The Mayam Shrine features a straightforward puzzle leading to Rauru’s Blessing. After entering, you’ll find no combat challenges-just a reward waiting at the altar. Activate the shrine to receive a valuable reward, which typically includes a Light of Blessing and a treasure chest with rare equipment or resources. Once completed, this shrine can be used as a fast travel point for quick access to nearby areas.
The Mayam Shrine puzzle takes place over the two big sky islands in the northernmost areas of the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago. The first step is to fight the Flux Construct I to get a crystal, then transfer it to the Mayam Shrine location.
1. The Flux Construct I fight is on the largest sky island in the archipelago. You’ll notice one special block that’s part of the Construct – the glowing one. We used a Keese eye honing arrow to target it to get the Construct to stumble. Then, use Ultrahand to pull it out and the Construct will fall apart, and the crystal will fall out.

2. Keep hitting the glowing box regardless of the form the Construct takes. Do this over and over until it’s defeated.
3. You can safely move the crystal once the fight is over.
4. Pick up the crystal. The beam emitting from it will point you toward the shrine, which is to the north, but higher up in the sky. Move the crystal to the smaller part of the current island, which is where you’ll launch it from.

5. Use a floating platform with fans and rockets attached to get yourself way up into the sky, above the cross-shaped island where the shrine is. Use the rockets to navigate the floating platform closer to the shrine’s sky island.

6. You may need to use a Zonai glider to make it to the sky island before, depending on where you end up. The good news is that the crystal will continue to guide you toward the shrine.
How to beat Flux Construct I at Mayam Shrine
Flux Construct I at Mayam Shrine is the weakest variant, making it straightforward to defeat with the right strategy.โ
Key Weakness
Target the glowing green block within its body, which stands out from the other blocks. This core is the only vulnerable part; attacking other blocks does nothing.โโ
Combat Steps
-
Keep a safe distance and use Ultrahand (grab with A, wiggle right stick) to yank out the green block, causing the construct to collapse.โโ
-
Rush in and strike the exposed core repeatedly with melee weapons before it reforms.โโ
-
If it reforms into a cube or platform, repeat: dodge slams or thrown blocks, then pull/strike the green core again until destroyed.โโ
-
Use bows for initial hits from afar if needed, especially with eyeballs for precision.โ
Tips
Stay mobile to avoid one-hit-kill smashes, and fuse the dropped core to a weapon post-fight for bonus power. Rockets nearby aid post-battle transport.โ
How to solve Mayam Shrine puzzle after Flux Construct
After defeating the Flux Construct I and obtaining the green crystal, the Mayam Shrine puzzle focuses on transporting the crystal back to the activation pedestal on the shrine’s island using nearby Zonai devices.โ
Transport Setup
Locate the large controllable floating platform near the arena, along with scattered rockets and other Zonai parts. Use Ultrahand to firmly attach the green crystal to the platform’s surface-ensure it’s connected, not just placed loosely.โโ
Rocket Propulsion
Attach one rocket facing straight upward on the platform to gain height matching the shrine island above. Place a second rocket (unattached initially) nearby, then after the first ascent, attach and orient it toward the green beam’s endpoint for precise forward travel. Activate rockets in sequence by striking them or shooting with a bow to propel the platform and crystal directly to the target ledge.โโ
Activation and Entry
Detach the crystal from the platform, carry it to the beam’s pedestal, and place it to complete the “North Hyrule Sky Crystal” quest. The shrine door opens for Rauru’s Blessing inside, with no further internal puzzles-just loot including a chest with a Magic Rod.โโ
