How to use console commands in Oblivion Remastered

To use console commands in Oblivion Remastered, simply press the tilde key (~) on your keyboard while in-game to open the console command panel. Then, type or paste the desired command and press Enter to execute it. These commands allow you to perform various actions such as enabling God mode, adding items, teleporting, or modifying character attributes. Note that console commands are only available on PC and using them will disable in-game achievements. Always use commands carefully, as some may cause bugs or crashes.

Prior to inputting console commands in Oblivion Remastered, there are a few things you should know:

  • Console commands are only available on Windows PC.
  • Using any console commands will disable achievements across all of your save files.

There are a ways to re-enable achievements, such as reverting to a save before you used any console commands, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, or, probably the best method, installing a mod to re-enable achievements.

To use console commands in Oblivion Remastered, press the “~” button on your keyboard to open the console command panel, and type or paste commands into the text bar. If the tilde button does not open the console command panel, you may need to set your keyboard language to “English/US Keyboard.”

As you’re inputting commands, keep the following in mind:

  • For some of the commands, you’ll need to manually input a parameter such as an item ID or location ID, which we explain more for each respective command.
  • Some codes will be listed with brackets, but the brackets should not be included when typing in the command. For example, setlevel [#] should be written as setlevel # without any brackets.
  • Commands are not case sensitive.

To use a targeted command, open the console and click on the desired target, which displays its name at the top of the screen, then enter the command. Many targeted commands can also be applied to the player character by prefixing them with “player.” However, caution is advised with commands like “disable” or “kill” on the player due to potential instability. These commands are particularly useful for troubleshooting quest glitches or customizing gameplay experiences.

Want to discover secret powers and hidden cheats in Oblivion Remastered

Discover the secret powers and hidden cheats of Oblivion Remastered and transform your journey through Cyrodiil like never before. From unlocking god mode and flying through the skies to instantly opening any locked door or chest, the PC console commands let you bend the game to your will with ease. Whether you want to max out your skills, duplicate rare items, or fast travel anywhere on the map, these cheats reveal a treasure trove of possibilities that can enhance or completely reshape your adventure. Dive into this guide and unleash the full potential of Oblivion Remastered with commands that even the game’s developers left hidden beneath the surface.

What are the most hidden or lesser-known cheats in Oblivion Remastered

Some of the most hidden or lesser-known cheats and secrets in Oblivion Remastered include:

  • Duplicate Items Exploit: By using storage containers and the inventory search function, you can duplicate almost any item by moving quantities in a specific way, effectively cloning valuable gear or resources.

  • Fast Leveling Exploit: During the “Whom Gods Annoy” quest in Leyawiin, keeping the Daedric staff that spawns easy-to-kill Everscamps allows you to rapidly level offensive and defensive skills by repeatedly fighting these weak enemies.

  • Assassin Gear Without Joining Dark Brotherhood: In Bruma, breaking a very hard lock in J’Ghasta’s cellar reveals Black Hand Robes and Hood, enchanted gear that boosts Sneak, Illusion, Marksman, Blade, and Speechcraft by +11 each, providing powerful stealth bonuses early on.

  • Fast Finish Main Quest Glitch: Using the “floating paintbrush” glitch in the Temple District lets you clip through walls to reach the endgame area prematurely and complete the main quest quickly (only works in unpatched versions).

  • Rare Unique Items and Armor Sets: Hidden locations like Amelion’s Tomb north of Leyawiin contain the Brusef Amelion ebony armor set, which many players miss due to its scattered pieces. This set offers strong enchantments including frost shield and is considered one of the best light armor sets in the game.

  • Sigil Stone Rerolling: Before picking up Sigil Stones atop Oblivion Gates, saving and reloading lets you reroll the enchantments to get the best possible stats for enchanting your gear.

  • Secret Hidden Locations: For example, a big tree north of Fort Farragut hides a very hard chest with valuable items, and a small island off Anvil’s coast conceals the Finn Gleam helmet that grants underwater breathing.

These cheats and secrets offer powerful advantages and unique gameplay twists that many players overlook, enriching the Oblivion Remastered experience beyond the usual commands and exploits.
