Trainers have plenty to celebrate as Pokémon Go marks seven years of adventure, featuring rare spawns, special rewards, and nostalgic throwbacks that bring every generation of Pokémon fans together for the party.

  • July 6: doubled catch XP

In addition to the above bonuses, there’s an increased chance to become Lucky Friends, an increased chance to get Lucky Pokémon via trades, and a chance of finding an increased number of Gimmighoul Coins from Golden Lure PokéStops.

Pokémon Go ‘7th Anniversary Party’ Timed Research and rewards

The 7th Anniversary Party Timed Research in Pokémon Go offers players limited-time tasks that celebrate the game’s milestone with themed challenges and festive rewards. Trainers can complete objectives such as catching specific Pokémon, spinning PokéStops, and battling in raids to earn items including Poké Balls, Stardust, and encounters with featured Pokémon. Completion grants special bonuses that tie into the anniversary festivities, rewarding consistent play throughout the event period.

You can only complete this research set if you pay for the 7th Anniversary Party Timed Research Ticket, available for $1.99 in the shop. As with other Timed Research, it will expire and vanish when the event ends on July 12. You can see the steps and rewards below:

Pokémon Go ‘7th Anniversary Party’ event Field Research and rewards

During the Pokémon Go 7th Anniversary Party event, Field Research tasks offer encounters with party hat-wearing Pokémon such as Pikachu, Eevee, and Teddiursa. Completing these tasks yields Stardust, Candy, and Rare Candies as rewards. Players receive stamps for every three tasks finished, with five stamps earning a ticket for a special research story featuring additional anniversary-themed rewards like encounters with costumed Snorlax. Timed research also provides extra stamps and bonuses tied to the event period.

Spinning PokéStops during the event period may net you a event-themed research task:

  • Catch 7 different species of Pokémon (Rowlet, Litten, or Popplio encounter)
  • Catch 7 Pokémon (2 Ultra Balls)
  • Earn 7 hearts with your buddy (Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup encounter)

Pokémon Go spawn increases for the ‘7th Anniversary Party’ event

During the 7th Anniversary Party event, Pokémon Go trainers can expect increased spawns of various fan-favorite species, each themed around the game’s different anniversary years. Specific Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild each day, alongside event-exclusive costume variants and shiny possibilities. The spawn rotation gives players a chance to catch rare Pokémon they might have missed in earlier events, adding extra excitement to the celebration.
