Best locations and lures for catching Shuckle and Paras during the event

Shuckle and Paras were boosted spawns during the Pokémon Go Festival of Colors 2023 event, making them easier to find in specific biomes and weather conditions.

Best Locations for Shuckle

Target parks, nature trails, or rural areas with grassy or rocky terrain, as Shuckle favors partly cloudy or rainy weather boosts. These spots align with its natural spawn preferences during the event.

Best Locations for Paras

Head to expansive grassy fields, countryside areas, farmlands, or forests, where Paras had elevated spawn rates. Event bonuses amplified appearances in these open, vegetated zones.

Recommended Lures

Use a standard Lure Module or Glacial Lure on PokéStops in the above locations to double spawn rates for 30 minutes, prioritizing high-traffic stops for efficiency. Event PokéStop surprises also occasionally yielded these Pokémon, enhancing lure effectiveness.

Shiny rates for Shuckle and Paras in Festival of Colors

Shiny rates for Shuckle and Paras during the Pokémon Go Festival of Colors 2023 event followed the standard boosted wild encounter odds of approximately 1 in 64 (or 1/64), as these were featured in increased spawns without special shiny promotions like permaboosted or event-exclusive rates.

Shiny Availability

Both Pokémon were available in their shiny forms during the event, appearing in wild spawns alongside other boosted species like Koffing and Krabby. No elevated rates (e.g., 1/25 or 1/10) applied, unlike Community Days or Raid Days.

Hunting Tips

Maximize encounters in grassy/rural biomes with lures and favorable weather (partly cloudy for Shuckle, rainy for Paras) to hit the 1/64 odds through volume; recent live trackers show Shuckle around 1/173 overall, but event boosts improved this.
